Ungodliness, hatred, blasphemy, sexual immortality, murder, corruption, pestilence.....Is America under God’s judgment? As a person of faith, I cannot deny that the answer is yes.

With all the chaos that seems to consuming and growing throughout the country, I am reminded of how God finally had enough of the Israelites wickedness.

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children”
Hosea 4:6

I live in a state that has completely abandoned any notion or reverence for Jesus. Anything called good is shamed. Anything evil is embraced. Of course there are still many God fearing people here, but our number continue to decline.

Can we as nation repent and call on God’s mercy? The people of Nineveh repented and mourned at the preaching of Jonah and God forgive them. Can we also? Sadly I don’t see that happening.

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
2 Chronicles 7: 14

No doubt the ungodliness has multiplied, and we are now seeing evils that used to remain hidden. Man has made his beautiful home a pigsty. I think that that is what we are seeing. God's judgment is another thing - a thing to behold - a thing that loosens the bowels and paralyzes the legs.

"And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them" (Revelation 9:6)

I think you are under the delusion of American mythology. There is no nation of God, there was back when God raised up Israel, but that was for the purpose of ushering in the Messiah. Every nation has always been corrupt, and dirty because nations are lead by and governed by corrupt humans.
Humanity is always under judgement, therefore death reigns over humans, and all the things that kill are part of that judgement.

The wickedness of worldly people isn’t why we’re under judgement, they are part of the judgement. It’s Gods people that have brought Gods judgement on us.

This forum is a microcosm of Gods people and it doesn’t appear that Gods people have humbled themselves nor are they seeking Gods face and likely will not be doing so any time soon.

But somehow I’m guessing YOU think you’ve humbled yourself.

We can say and believe whatever we want but God will be the judge of that. So whether I think I have or not has no bearing on anything other.

Brother I am with you all the way on this. Let us go down if it be the lord's will fighting the good fight.
Preparing my friends and family now for what's to come.
May the Lord shine his face on all that trust in him.

Jesus has died and paid for their sins . If God had judged us all before the time ,who would stand ? He wants none to perish.

God owns us, God owns the nations and is the judge of all. The nation is made up of millions of the people God owns and judges, each person is a part.

When Abraham pleaded with God to not judge Sodom and Gomorrah God told him that if he even found ten righteous men God would not destroy it. Each of us is very important to our nation, a small group could save it from destruction.

We know from prophecy it will be destroyed in time, it is up to us to keep it as long as possible.

"Righteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne" ( Psalms 89:14).

There is true to that, however the final judgments have yet to come. The Lord will still judge a nation for its evils. History and scripture shows this to be the case. Why are we exempt.

Ouch! While I do agree that there are people who profess the faith and are far from being humble, I would have to say given our founding in Judeo-Christian beliefs, what has transpired over the last 50 years with regards to abandoning that foundation has cause God to look away and hence brought anger.

Nineveh was eventually destroyed by the Medes around 612 BC, as Nahum had prophesied...

Yes, eventually Nineveh was destroyed. Although for at least a period they did repent. Jesus said:
The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.

You answered your own question Brother. Note that it is NOT necessary for the Nation to repent, just for Gods PEOPLE to humble themselves and pray and seek His face, and turn from THEIR wicked ways............ So it is the Church that needs to return to its first Love.

this is a fact

as much as I believe Trump has done a good job in the Presidency, he is anything but a humble man.

God is God and not anyone's 'yes man'

America, is consumed by its own pride and self importance. I am not the judge, but it is what it is

what goes before a fall? repentance? being humble? well....no. just the opposite

I would agree with this.

God is merciful but who does He judge first? the wicked are judged already if they do not turn
