Red flag 3 tells us that our understanding of what Jesus said is wrong, (regardless of the 2000 year history and tradition of christianity)
Then replaces our understanding with his interpretation.

I don't want to result in name-calling and suggesting one is an"anti-semitism", however, I do believe you did pray yet, you still can be mistaken God is not :). No Jesus did not start a " new religion" HE brought new life Eternal life. Guess what, the law never did that.
Agreed........ the law had no escape. Break one break them all that was the burden.
Anti-semitism comes in many forms and to reject because it is Jewish per-say is a form of it.
I believe the church has missed out on a great deal of understanding keeping the hebrew text out of the new testament. That's why we have these scripture wars that lead to nothing.
Martin luther himself became anti-Semitic at the end of his ministry. That's how Satan creeps in.
The lord said I will bless those that bless you but curse him that curse you.
The gentiles of old we're kept out in the outer court. Jesus changed all that now we can all enter in.

He never said he was a believer. The opposite in fact. I'm puzzled
He said he did not believe in Jesus, he just wanted to look at the NT to answer questions he had gotten

The first red flag is a Jewish man comes to aid Christians to understand who Jesus is, while not believing in him as anything more than a historical person.
Flaw number 1 - He never said that was his purpose.

Second red flag, tells us what our understanding of Jesus is (imposing on us a wrong understanding), and then knocks that understanding down and replaces it with the one he wants us to have.
Since your red flag number one is in error, this one follows suit,

I agree, but what church wants to keep the OT out, never heard of this or been to one

I believe he is right about the name of our God.
The age is upon us when we must identify our God by name. He is YHVH. Yehovah
We cannot allow ourselves to be convinced he is the same god the Muslims or the Hindus worship.

"Muslims worship god too" "Jesus is in the Koran too" "Just bow to the Islamic prayer call, it's the same god"

We will hear this more & more. We must know our God by name.

My conclusion. I'm not worried about it and I think the red flags are not justified.

No one said Christians need to follow the law. In fact, the differences between the actual law and Pharisee interpretations or oral traditions , tie in nicely with Jesus words to those same 'teachers' of the law.

If the Jews believe Jesus started a new religion, then as Christians we know that is not so, and as the man in the video does not identify as Christian, why is this earth shattering news?

Frankly, I would be far more concerned with certain Christian teachers who are just as bad as the Pharisees and teach their own traditions and call it the Bible.

Not getting in a huff over this one ;)

Huh. I understood him to say that in Greek the subtleties of the Jewish language are lost. Hearing them as originally spoken and knowing the play on words really actually gives better understanding.

As I have understanding in 3 languages (only totally fluent in English) I can attest to the fact that saying something in English, translated from one of the other languages, you loose the subtler meaning which renders what is said flat. While those are my words, that is what I understood him to say.

Excuse me powder, but I did not have the impression he was trying to replace anything. The original intent is lost at times in the English translation without a doubt. I don't find that scary or alarmist and it is just a simple fact.

Actually, I knew this already. shrugs

Right. So who knows, maybe he will come to believe in his Messiah. Stranger things have happened. He is also involved with Messianics and those folks can be quite contagious.
