Hi. I have been active in a couple of Bible forums in the past, but not much for years. I was quite active. When I checked one out recently I discovered that users were not very considerate or as respectful as they should be. I realize that many feel strongly about certain doctrines, but we should try to respect others positions. Also their server was vvveeerrryyy slow. :)

Personally, must FYI, I’m an old guy, who loves the Lord and has spent tons of time studying, reading and memorizing scripture - love it!

Also, I teach science and math. So I love to discuss science-Bible topics, age of the earth or universe, etc..

Hello FaithAlone, thank you for your introduction. I would appreciate to hear some of those precious gems. Yes, we learn everyday and is not the same anymore. I would like to share scripture for 2021. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ

Hi FA (@FaithAlone), HAPPY NEW YEAR, and welcome to CChat. I'm glad that you found us joined in the discussions with us :)

And thank you for telling us a little bit about yourself too!

God bless you!!

p.s. - I used to quote the verses and passages that you see below in my signature line regularly (when I was dealing with problems as a mod on a different forum a few years back), so I decided to post them here as a gentle reminder (for myself, and for anyone else who wanted to be reminded, of how a Christian is supposed to act). Sadly, online Christendom can get pretty ugly at times, even though it never should (as you pointed out earlier).

1 Thessalonians 5
23 May the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body
be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Loved the scripture... especially James 1.

Hi FaithAlone, and welcome to the forums :)
I know what you mean as had the exact same experience; I used to be active many years ago (now that makes me sound super-old, but the truth is I was just super-young back then!) And found great fellowship.
Then I checked out and joined a few forums a year ago where I felt highly uncomfortable and judged for whatever I posted; like opinions mattered more than people.

Not that I've been active here for very long, but I have been blessed by the fellowship and hope you will be too :)

Hi Faith Alone. I am new here as well. Were any of the divisions in your Bible study over issues related to politics, race or COVID?

i am thinking that the Copenhagen interpretation + the observer effect = Romans 11:36, Colossians 1:17, Hebrews 1:3, Acts 17:28 etc
I thought that only ugly people broke mirrors and cameras. Does the dope break the scope or does the scope break the dope?

No. Over theological issues - salvation by faith-alone or faith plus works, etc..

i'm amazed that people still argue about that, given that we all have copies of Ephesians 2. and Romans. and Galatians.
but even this forum's longest thread is ((currently)) about 150,000 posts of back and forth over the same thing.

*sigh*
