I've said countless times on here that the bible counts faith as the opposite of works . I believe the bible on this quite literally .
It is still not a condition

we are saved on the condition of grace, bu the decision of faith

so do you believe it really? Your making it a condition, which means it is a work

yep Who is the one doing this? God is it not?

ps, Jesus is a Greek name, not a hebrew name, he has many names.
Doing the convicting yes . Conviction of the Holy Spirit is necessary for salvation, but occurs to sinners alike, regardless of consequent faith or unbelief. It is not irresistible or unconditionally selective. (Jn. 16:7-11)

If God makes it a prerequisite im ok with that ,regardless what anyone else says .
1 cor 1 .21
21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
Romans 3:27

“Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.”

For by grace we have been saved through faith

your the one twisting gods word my friend

it does not say we have been saved by faith

my faith could not save me no matter how great it is.

A calvinist says regeneration precedes faith . The bible says Regeneration comes after belief .
Eph 1.12-13 .
God requires man to believe the Gospel. He is response - able. Calvinism says man is un able . Along with most Arminians .

The man living out in the jungle, can he get saved without hearing the gospel of Jesus?

What do you think that the definition of repentance is?

What does repentance look like?

Can someone repent about everything about themselves? Even reactions they can't stop?

What if they find themselves in a situation they can't escape? So they end up constantly sinning? (Boyfriend and girlfriend with kids living together and not married for example)

What about tattoos? Easier to go on than to remove. How do you repent from that?

When the cure of repentance is worse than the sin... what do you do?

Where are you hiding the Christians?
Is it better to lie or to give them up for executions.

Regeneration does come after faith

but faith is not a condition of salvation. If this is so we earn our salvation

Faith is not a work . This is precisely the calvinists argument your making. They say faith is a work. therfore faith has to be a gift . An exclusive gift at that .

Repentence simply means breaking frame from the current set of presups your holding to another set . Meta = above . For example in Acts 2.38 Peter tells the Jews they need to change their minds from thinking Jesus was a criminal deserving of death and accept him as messiah. It means ' change your mind ' .

Instead of worrying the exact definition of different words, how about just accepting what is told us about Jesus? Matthew says that the ministry of Jesus was: Matt_4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

He will not violate his word which says hearing comes before believing.
My god can bring people to faith without the use of people

i am sorry you God has limits
