"I have seen..." I'm guessing English is not your first language, and I sympathize with anyone who is learning English as an adult; it's a horribly difficult language to learn. But for the record, the present perfect tense is "I have seen" or "I've seen." The present tense would be "I see" and past tense would be "I saw." A little learning can go a long way.
See what I mean Temple C ? Both sides are guilty. Both fan the flames.

So if I understand correctly, you believe that individuals who have the ability to donate blood, or organs, or other body parts should be forced to do so against their will, as long as it is to save the life of someone else?
Well you have a right to share your view and argue your point, it would be nice to not have abortion take over the discussion. imho

Some think recognizing and seeing who Trump really is and that he should never have been president automatically means one is pro Biden.

There is a tremendous difficulty with nuance, which is the result of binary thinking.
While this can be true for some, perhaps you, others try to defend Biden as a more Godly, good, family man. And then they are called out on their hypocrisy. If you're holding up morals as a standard, Biden is no different.

So you're a second time visitor? Or was here under another name. Either way, don't wade into politics, there's no way it can't get ugly. It's reflecting the mood of the country. I expect to get worse, not better, sadly.

I have been here for over 10 years this is my second account. I have never posted and always lurked before. I'm stepping in now because I see a need here. In the past it has gotten out of hand but it was always moderated and personal emotions wear put in check for the sake of having a civil conversation.

I was one of the people that suggested having a news/political form to Robo in the chat room. Having a new forum on CC was something I was very interested in. And over the years I have been satisfied with it up until late. I feel a responsibility to this forum

Someone please tell Hills that no one is forcing anyone to anything against their will and that the argument she laid out here is utterly a false one.

Lurking... sorry that sounded a little funny. I know I've been here a long time too. But I think because of the climate we are in, mods are being overly patient and hoping things will calm down. But with Antifa attacks in Portland this week with signs saying "we don't want Biden" I don't think things are going to be as calm as people had hoped. 2021 may be as bad, or worse, than 2020. Time will tell.

And "BDS" threw the country into turmoil, made Washington look like a war zone.

And btw Trump is one of those deviant criminals along with a good chunk of the Republican Party.
Out of curiosity, what's your opinion on Rand and Ron Paul?

Ugh!!! One day I'm with him, next day I'm wondering what in tarnation they're thinking. Sorry, the state of KY picked an odd bird in Rand.

Can you please apologize for calling another member a name which is an uncivil action and is in contradiction to the rules here. I appreciate your input to the conversations and always enjoy seeing what you have to say but uncivil behavior is against the rules here and you are a moderator and should know better and have known better in the past.

Thank you.
nope :)

There's been enough said here on both sides. Jokes told, memes shared, all kinds of things said. So let's not get all self righteous. If CSI has to apologize, everyone here has to. The country is torn apart, people are on the brink of a civil war. Discussions get hot, we lose our temper. 11th and I have gone back and forth, but she just made a comment that I gave a "winner" emoji. If we met in person I have no doubt we'd get along. We're strong people with strong opinions. Sometimes it gets out of hand during these tough times. But it's not personal. It's not for me anyway.
I'm pleased to hear you don't mean anything personally, though it's difficult to believe/comprehend as personal attacks are after all... personal. I am not speaking directly to you only either, because you're right... lots of people have done that to one another. I just think if we use that justification, the ball will continue to roll downhill.

It will take people being mentally mature enough to just take another's insults and not feed fuel to the fire for it to burn out. We can't use being human as a copout/justification for treating our brothers and sisters disrespectfully. We have to consciously and premeditatively type out an insult to someone on here before they read it... The entire time we know it's going to be toxic, but choose to do it anyways. It's mental immaturity.

I would say if it's a repeated problem for people, it's best to avoid anything that might cause us to stumble. If that's the "News" (aka politics) thread, then distance would be a biblical approach to delivering us from that type of bondage. It is unfortunate how difficult it is for people to disagree civilly.

I think a big contributor to this is social media. It's trained people to think their opinion matters more than other people's and that their voice must be heard (read). They become social media warriors but in real life, I question if they really would act that immaturely.

this is not a discussion about theology but a discussion about the rules on the form. Robo and Once fallen have very clearly stated that uncivil like behavior is not tolerated here and it has not been tolerated in the past and I have seen people banned for less.

She needs to apologize as well as everyone on this form. And as I have said before I apologize for anything I have done and for the anger that I have in my heart. I will apologize to you personally for the anger I have in my heart towards you personally right now.

and I also apologize to the Democrats for the anger I have in my heart for them for their behavior towards the conservatives.
we at CC are very long-suffering, I'm sure many of us and you have said things that were not addressed as you would like it to be. IF we did you would be banned as all would LOL. We are not Cnn Twitter or FB. You do not see CC with underscore tags

" The election was fair wit no fraud" Or " Biden is the President-Elect". My assessment of some while I was and am called names, suggesting I have dementia which one of my family members died from I did not take personally I just made a point pertaining to the Foolishness of 1. suggesting Biden's cognitive issues and joking about it, was hypocritical because one took a stands on abortion. If one can disrespect me and I just take and respond back more appropriately why do I need to say sorry? I did not ask for one when suggesting I have dementia?

I don't think there's anything here I disagree with. But these convos are going on on Twitter and FB, Youtube. Well, the ones that aren't blocked. And I think the issue is that 75 million people are being told to shut up, to sit down and that they are worse than deplorables, they are terrorists and enemies of the country. And it never ever works. More discussion is always better, even if it gets heated. That's why we have free speech in the first place. When people feel they are not being heard, they get upset. And rightly so.

Some of these issues are very important issues. Like abortion. Now we have someone here who has made her opinion known that she supports abortion. You cannot be a Christian and support killing the unborn. You can call yourself a Christian, but you are lying to yourself. So when some here say that Biden is a good Christian man, glad we got evil Trump out of the way, some of us say "wait a minute". Biden is not different that Trump. You have to understand that the left has attacked the person we put in office for four years. When Hillary lost the left had a literal melt down. They swore they were moving to Canada, they threw fits, destroyed public property, ran around with vaginas on their heads. So excuse us for being upset and reacting. But we were up to here with it, and now we feel the election was stolen. Now, you can wag your finger and give all the reasons you think it wasn't. But I'm telling you there is a large segment in this country that feels unheard and that no one in WA gives a dang about them. They feel unrepresented. They aren't about to just sit down and shut up. I see a third party in the near future. I don't think some people truly understand how deep this goes, I believe this is a serious movement. You may call it a cult, but it's 75 million strong and they will be heard.

Why thank you. Both of those posters are intelligent and good people, even though I disagree with them from time to time. I consider it a compliment to be placed with them.

You know what, I think I'll pass. Swinging at low-hanging fruit can have disastrous results.
“I seen”, that’s how most folks down home Lower Alabama’s speaking. Leastways in rural areas (not that we really have any urban areas lol).

I been told by complete strangers many a-time that I must be a non native English speaking person due to my rural, redneck vernacular. Reckon it looks bad in writing, but orally I’d say it sounds sort of like English lol.

Again I will say if I have said anything that has upset anyone I would like to know what it is so I may apologize and correct myself. This is all that I'm asking you to do.

I have exposed my children to this webpage and friends and family this is not the type of behavior any of us support.

As Christians it is important to be a good example to the world as how not to act and how to act and be civil. the conversation here is no different than the world right now and this is a problem that needs to be addressed.

There's no reason for personal attacks and you know as well as I do as a moderator that this is not acceptable behavior. if you feel like somebody's getting out of hand and they're pushing your buttons then you need to handle that with them in a respectable manner. calling someone a name that may be seen in a negative light is not civil or respectable by any stretch of the imagination.

there is no justification for this and you know as well as I do as someone who has read the Bible that the beginning is the anger in the heart.

And as I have done with others I apologize for my anger in my heart right now towards you.

Unless I am deceived and I have no idea, I feel like they are 2x politicians that have integrity and aren't trying to deceive anyone on what they are for or against (ideologically).

No, but a baby in the womb ain’t no body part. It’s a human being.

I understand where you're coming from. In my opinion, I agree there is a censorship of right-aligned ideology. The difference we have is that I won't go to a random atheist person's house and demand he and his family hear my belief that Jesus is the Savior of the world. Social media has always been left-leaning, and as unfortunate as it is, it is their right to be biased as 1st amendment rights do not apply to their users. It's no different than my demanding the right to be heard in an atheist's home.

The best thing to do is not be a part of any social media that you feel censors what you believe and stand for. It would be extremely counter-productive and counter-intuitive to help popularize a platform you're against.

I think so, I'm on a see-saw with them, but I think they stick to their guns. Well, bad saying nowadays. I think what you see is what you get. They don't try to finesse anyone. But that's pretty much KY people. I should know, I married one. ;)
