Vicarius Filii Dei ..the substitution of the Son of God? The nerve of the papacy to give this title to the pope.

They used their authority to change God's Holy Day to the first day of the week? Who thought this was a good idea?

Saturday is God's Devine signature of Creation. It doesn't say anywhere in the Bible we can modify the Ten Commandments.

Isaiah 58:13
If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the LORD honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, B3 14 then you shall delight yourself in the LORD;

The papacy that started in Rome did not have Peter sitting in the seat. Anyone can claim Peter as the first of their own organization. It's just another trick.

The little horn on the first beast ends up being the papacy.

Sabbath Sunday or Saturday has nothing to do with mark. Before the mark the beast tells the world to "Worship" it. You noticed no day was given.

Exodus 12:17
And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt; therefore shall ye observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance for ever.

I said "involve", the law will say you can't buy or sell on the day. The Sabbath keepers will be vilified. I'll die before bowing to the law.

I know what you said. The Bible describes a 'mark'; not a law. But don't let that bother you. You certainly do not let the biblical record of the creation of Adam stand in the way of your op's.

Short answer: NO. The papacy is NOT the Antichrist, and Sunday worship is definitely not about taking the Mark of the Beast. This is a false doctrine held by the Seventh Day Adventists. The do have a few other false teachings mixed in with the truth.

Nah, that distraction will keep you from seeing the real thing happening right under your nose.

You need to learn which parts of the Bible are written TO the Church and which parts aren't. Mix them up, and you become no better than the Judaizers.

This is a logical fallacy. Similarity of practice is not accepting the authority of the pope.

The mark of the beast has nothing at all to do with the Sabbath!

In fact, the word 'Sabbath' does not even appear in the book of Revelation. You would think that something that is eternal life threatening would be stated straight out. In addition, there are no rebukes from the Lord regarding the Sabbath in the letters to the seven churches.

This teaching that the mark of the beast is symbolically representing the observance of the Sabbath on Sunday, is a false Seventh Day Adventist teaching, which scripture does not support. They teach that the mark in the hand represents 'taking action' and the forehead figuratively represents 'making a decision,' i.e. the decision to keep the Sabbath on Sunday. Furthermore, there is nothing in the context that would lead the believer to apply a figurative meaning to the mark, since the literal hand and forehead are mentioned as the location of the mark. And that without that mark no one will be able to literally buy or sell. We already have fulfillment of the literal meaning taking place. Why ignore that and look for some obscure teaching?

And in addition to that, we are not saved by observing the Sabbath nor any part of the Law. We are saved by grace through faith and this not by our own efforts. It is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast about it. Regarding the Sabbath, Paul said, "One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind." He who observes a special day does so to the Lord and the one who honors the Lord every day also does so to the Lord.

Come away from these false teachings of men!

Daniel 7:25 and he shall speak great words against the most high, and shall wear out the saints of the most high and think to CHANGE TIMES AND LAWS.

I'm not hearing a good reason from the Pope to have anything to do with Sunday.

"In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.

I can tell you, that there is no one in Israel who can tell you where that stone monument is today. Yet, it was to be a memorial forever. Sometimes the translated word forever does not mean without end, as was just proved here.

The Law was given to Israel. God put aside the first covenant to establish the second. The Law has been fulfilled by the Lord, satisfying it completely. It is also written: "The sin of sin is death and the power of sin is the law." For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.

Do you think I don't believe in Jesus? Ridiculous. I'm calling a spade ..a spade. The little horn on the first beast is the papacy.
Curious how Jews hold the Sabbath and are center stage at the end ..wonder why.

Correction: it should read "the sting of sin is death and the power of sin is the law."

How do you wear out the saints without the beast being in the papacy?
