From letter of our beloved brother Paulus "Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christs sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." (2 Cor. 12)

This is true thinking of spiritual man, who is not afraid to put himself exposed for the sake of the Gospel, but instead even thirsts for putting himself in a difficult position because of the truth. And blessed is the one who understands this noble mindset and does not try to protect himself for all cost for all the "impacts" that might follows from faithfulness to the word of God, but instead choose to be faithful even if it seems to led in to unfavorable position.

We must be loyal to God even if it means that we will be abandoned of mankind, and some way we will be, if we don't follow the world, but instead Lord Jesus. Our hope and salvation is not through human approval.

"Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but he who loses his life for Christ will find it"

Let us be brave and serve God

Amen, my brother. This can be a hard pill to swallow for those that fair rather well and comfortably in this life. There is a good reason why you have not gotten too many responses here.

Luke
14:25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
14:26 If any [man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

The context for that verse is Jesus speaking to Israel ,before the cross . Thats what they had to do . Jesus is addressing Israel during a transitional period , whilst he was physically with Israel.

Thanks for clarifying your oft-repeated LIE.

For anyone who actually believes the Bible, I offer the following:

Mark chapter 8

[27] And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
[28] And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
[29] And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
[30] And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
[31] And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
[32] And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
[33] But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
[34] And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
[35] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Although throughfaith keeps on WRONGLY insisting that Jesus' words during his earthly ministry were meant only for the Israelites or Jews, the Bible tells us a completely different story.

Here, we see Jesus "in the towns of Caesarea Philippi" (vs. 27), which were GENTILE towns:

https://www.bibleodyssey.org/HarperCollinsBibleDictionary/c/caesarea-philippi

Caesarea Philippi (Ses´uh-ree´uh fil-ip´i, ses´uh-ree´uh fil´i-pi)

A gentile frontier town located on the southern slope of Mt. Hermon at one of the sources of the Jordan River. The site was known in antiquity as a shrine of the Greek and Roman nature god, Pan. In or near the city of Caesarea Philippi was the scene of Peter’s confession of Jesus as the Christ (Matt 16:13-19; Mark 8:27-29).

While in this GENTILE town, Jesus "called the people unto him with his disciples also" (vs. 34), AND TOLD THEM ALL that they needed to lose their lives for his sake and the gospel's sake in order to save them.

Just for the record.

Your argument is with Jesus .

Matt 10 .5
These twelve Jesus sent forth and commanded them, saying, “Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not.

Matthew 15:24

“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
Sigh...

Apparently, you're so enclosed in your self-made little box that you don't even know the context of what Jesus said in Matthew 15:24.

Here, I'll help you (even though you'll more than likely just close your eyes to it):

Matthew chapter 15

[21] Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
[22] And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
[23] But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
[24] But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
[25] Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
[26] But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
[27] And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
[28] Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Your favorite quote, in context, was spoken WHILE JESUS WAS MINISTERING TO A GENTILE.

In the parallel account in Mark's gospel, we're told that she "was A GREEK, A SYROPHENICIAN BY NATION":

Mark chapter 7

[24] And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
[25] For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
[26] The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
[27] But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
[28] And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
[29] And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
[30] And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

My point?

Well, the same that it's been all along:

That Jesus regularly ministered to and preached TO GENTILES in the same exact manner in which he ministered to and preached to Israelites or Jews.

There's no difference...whether you like it or not.

With such truly being the case, YOUR ARGUMENT IS WITH JESUS...not mine.

I'd repent if I were you.

No.

Instead, I'm suggesting that BOTH Jews AND GENTILES lived in these towns, and that was no problem whatsoever for Jesus because he regularly ministered to and preached to BOTH GROUPS in the same exact manner even as I've been regularly documenting for you both here and elsewhere on this forum.

Got it?

The programme is ISRAEL . Gentiles would have to become proselytes ..Thats what we see in Acts 2 . Jesus is ministering to these ' Jews ' and proselytes . Yes there are exceptions like the ' Dog ' even being fed by the CHILDRENS crumbs . The Children are ISRAEL . Programmatically hes going to ISRAEL . Thats why the diciples were commanded only to go to Jews . Thats why there still doing this right up to Cornelius. And this is ONLY because God intervenes with Peters vision ect in Acts 10 and explained in Acts 11 .

It's NOT "ONLY because God intervenes with Peter's vision etc in Acts 10 and explained in Acts 11".

Have you even read the Bible?

For example, PRIOR TO HIS ASCENSION BACK TO HEAVEN (which preceded Peter's vision), Jesus said:

Matthew chapter 28

[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

What is it about "and teach all nations" that you don't understand?

Again:

Luke chapter 24

[46] And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
[47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
[48] And ye are witnesses of these things.

What is it about "among all nations" that you don't understand?

Again:

Acts chapter 1

[7] And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
[8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

What is it about "Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" that you don't understand?

You regularly insist that Jesus' words in the gospel accounts only applied to Israelites or Jews, yet he not only regularly spoke those same words himself TO GENTILES, but also commissioned his disciples to do the same.

That's reality.

Deal with it before you possibly convert somebody to your erroneous way of thinking.

Is it possible that you're truly this blind?

Let's try this again:

JESUS LATER COMMISSIONED THOSE SAME PEOPLE TO GO TO ALL NATIONS AND THE UTTERMOST PART OF THE EARTH.

What did he tell them to preach there?

Well, I already cited it for you, but apparently you had your eyes shut again.

Here it is, once more:

Matthew chapter 28

[16] Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
[17] And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
Amen.

Like it or not, "the eleven disciples" (vs. 16) were eleven (Judas was now dead) of the same "twelve Jesus sent forth" (Matt. 10:5) in your beloved enclosed-in-a-box-of-your-own-making verse.

Why is this significant?

Because Jesus commissioned them to "GO...AND TEACH ALL NATIONS...TEACHING THEM TO OBSERE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU", and they did just that.

For crying out loud, is it possible that you don't even understand what is regularly called "The Great Commission"?

Apparently, so.

In either case, what the "twelve" (Matt. 10:5) taught to the Israelites IS EXACTLY THE SAME THING THAT "THE ELEVEN DISCIPLES" (Matt. 28:16) TAUGHT TO ALL NATIONS.

Again, that's reality, whether you like it or not (apparently, not).

If your own condition wasn't so sad, then this would actually be humorous.

YOU are trying to wake up ME?

Thanks for the chuckle.

Anyhow, contrary to your latest false claim, the Bible is my strong subject (by God's grace), which is precisely why I regularly refute your lies with rightly-divided truth.

I'm quite familiar with your quote from the book of Acts, and...?

How does that negate THE FACT that Jesus commissioned his disciples to preach to ALL NATIONS AND THE UTTERMOST PART OF THE EARTH prior to this, which is the actual true point that I made and you ignored?

Of course, it doesn't.

Again, if you weren't so tightly closed up within your self-made box, then you would recognize and appreciate all Biblical truth.

As it presently stands, you rail against all of the truths that tear your little box to pieces.

Your choice.

As I said earlier, if I were you, then I'd repent.

To each his own.

Why are the diciples not preaching to gentiles until after Acts 10 then genius ? That's 10 years after Acts 2 .

Why did we need an apostle to the Gentiles? Whats the point if its all the same? Why bother with Paul and have him write 13 epistles? Surely it would have been one of the 12 who had been with Jesus all along ?

If your own condition wasn't so sad, then this would actually be humorous.

YOU are trying to wake up ME?

Thanks for the chuckle.

Heres a clue . The Jew first ....

...then the gentile . Thats how Israel understood the gentiles would be blessed through them. Its why they keep presenting the messiah to the council all through Acts .
