I am in no way a feminist, I have brought my kids up myself for the most part, AND home educated them.

But I sure don’t look down on those who didn’t or couldn’t. It isn’t biblical to run folks down for working just because they are female.

Jesus and even Paul didn’t condemn women for remaining single - (or for working).

some PROVERBS 31 verses don’t line up with some strong opinions being shared here .

The Virtuous Wife
10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.

SHE PROVIDES FOR HIM.

13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.

SHE MANUFACTURES

14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.

SHE PROVIDES EVEN MORE

16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.

SHE MAKES A PROFIT!

AND SHE HERSELF DECIDES WHERE IS BEST TO INVEST THAT MONEY.

17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.

SHE IS NOT WEAK FRAIL OR HELPLESS AND SHE DOES MANUAL LABOUR WELL.

18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.

SHE IS A BUSINESS WOMAN, AND A SKILLED PRODUCER/MANUFACTURER OF SELLABLE WARES.

24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.

THIS MARRIED MOTHER IS A MANUFACTURER, SUPPLIER AND A SALES WOMAN OF GOODS

SHE IS A BUSINESS LADY MAKING MONEY FOR THE FAMILY

25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.

SHE IS A STRONG WOMAN

26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.

SHE IS KNOWN FOR BEING WISE

29 “Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

SHE EXCELS THEM ALL!!

She FEARS GOD AND IS TO BE PRAISED - this strong, wise, providing, working, business woman.

31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.
PLEASE DON’T LUMP ALL WORKING MOTHERS/WOMEN IN WITH UNGODLY FEMINISTS - GOD CERTAINLY DOES NOT.

And please don’t condemn others for not observing your own ideals of what a woman’s “role” is if they are doing what the Lord asks of them.

I didn't realize porn addiction that was this serious until I read this thread. I can't even get my mind around how that would hurt a marriage, but I did some searches and you are right about it being a problem. I had no idea. Wow. It feels like everything is against marriage these days. So sad.
The internet Browsers lists porn as about the number one search topic :( It’s made it so readily available and so in your face that the devil must be ecstatic every time someone gets internet in their home or a kid gets private tv or internet access. Yes we can use it for good, but for so so many it is an open window to a world of sin they would maybe not have accessed otherwise.

It’s not only men who are tempted too, our society tells kids in school it is “healthy” to be interested in such things and to experiment on their own etc! Men get hooked on porn and not needing their wives in that department, or no longer able to be attracted to thier perhaps average or normal Or aging wife - often leave women’s needs unmet - so they can be tempted to find satisfaction elsewhere - and are encouraged by society to go online or have an affair!

How I long for heaven :(

I loved reading this post, and I could not agree more about NOT condemning women just for working. There are so many situations when a woman has no choice. My heart goes out to single moms all over this country who are struggling just to survive and I know a lot of couples live in big cities and have no choice but for both to work just to pay their mortgage.

In some ways, as women I think we are almost more cursed now because we have so much choice. It is so easy to second guess when you have choices. I have a college education and I could definitely have chosen to have a career instead of be a stay at home mom, but we felt like this was my calling. The funny thing to me is that it's not like I chose not to "work." I work like crazy lol. But people have always thought of "not working outside the home" as "not working." I honestly can't imagine a job or salary that would make me feel better about the choices I've made.

But most of my frustration in my other posts is directed at other women who I feel criticized by for my choices. There have been multiple times when other women have told me that I shouldn't "waste" my education or that I should go do this job or that job, etc. I mean really in a pressuring way like they are trying to save me because they think I was brainwashed or something. I have never told a woman that she was wrong for working outside the home. That's why I feel like feminism is so toxic. As women (especially Christian women) we should be loving, supportive, and forgiving toward each other. I don't see any of that happening with people that call themselves feminists.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on that. I'm really sorry to hear it worked out that way, but I think it also shows you just how much your mom loved you. Hearing that definitely makes me feel even better about the choices we've made too.
Of course, she loves me and my sis. That's the only type of mother that iv ever known.
I think that a mother's connection to her child is like some sort of miracle.

Its like there is a hidden wealth of knowledge and love that only becomes available when a woman has a child, would you say?
Even in the animal kingdom, the mothers know exactly what to do and they will defend their young to the death...
Is there a greater joy for a woman than having a child? Do u find that women change after having a child?

How old are your kids anyway? I find it interesting that u sometimes wonder if being at work would of been more satisfying...
I'm reminded of the one girl that told me she would rather be at work...
I guess what u guys would be thinking is all the hard stuff about raising kids...
But I have a strong feeling that after only a few weeks of work you would be regretting the change and wished u were with your kids.

I think also that full-time mums need a break from the kids. Have an afternoon/evening off, go and do something pleasurable.
Time apart makes the heart grow fonder, as they say...

But ask women in passing conversation whether they would of preferred to be with the kids or worked, especially mums whose kids are now adults... Listen to them and watch their body language too. Its sad.

Our government said that stay-at-home mums were hurting the economy... But whose economy? Not yours or mine.
All they care about is making money. They don't care about us and are willing to abuse and steal from children to do it.
There is also this kind of shaming that sometimes happens like u have "internal misogyny" or something.

An example

These people know nothing about that woman...
It turns out that he works 12 hours a day and she loves being a mum and wife... Yet these dumb idiots make fun of her.

Anyways... You would like a lovely person and I wish you all the best

A few years ago they had a christian men's conference with a hotel nearby where these Male attendees could stay.Naturally they had wi wfi with computers ect in each room and when this weekend conference was over they checked to see what was the most commonist thing men viewed over that weekend online....yep you guessed it...porn..
Satan seeks to make sexual imagery ect as accessible as possible coz his aim is to keep men and women sexually aroused in a multitude of ways from sexualised images of actors,actresses..even school girls.. and he has been doing it for thousands of years even without the use of the internet.Think of those countries where men have up to 12 wives ect..I mean seriously..👎
Porn is also so damaging too as it distorts the reality of how sex is in real life and creates all kinda of unrealistic expectations in terms of sexual experience...the purpose of sex and so much more. Some who watch it wanna be like the porn stars sexually...some even wanna have the same kind of genitalia as those in porn movies and even end up having surgery to alter how God made them inorder to meet some kind of ideal.
Porn is big businesses both in making huge profits in films as well as internet use..
Yet it just pollutes the soul and corrupts the heart, thoughtlife and desires within a person.
Sex without love is what satan offers and deceives others using sexual pleasure to satisfy a need that can never be really satisfied.Porn can be used just like comfort food for some and yes unfortunately it does lead to idolatry and many men find it easier to watch porn than to be with their wives for reasons from sexual boredom, having an adulterous heart, sexual addiction and much more.
I would rather experience the beauty of being loved by a woman with a sincere pure heart anyday over the temporary ecstasy of a sexual sinful experience that can never deeply satisfy...it just makes you crave for more yet fails to quench the a deeper thirst within a person.

A career woman is not necessarily a feminist. All career women are being labeled as "feminists" in this thread, which isn't accurate. Also, "career woman" has not been clearly defined. Is it a woman who works 40 hours outside the home, regardless of job, including the woman working multiple minimum wage jobs and dreaming of the next promotion? Or is it only a woman who has a "man's" job such as business executive or lawyer.

I can't fault a woman that HAS to work outside the home. But it's a seductive path and it can soon cross a vague sort of line where that "job" turns into a career and that career comes at the expense of her family (or the family she might have otherwise been able to have). So it boils down to why she's working IMO.

I'll put it to you another way... The waitress who brings me my food? I doubt she's choosing that over her family. She's probably just struggling to make ends meet. I'll give her a nice tip. But the executive woman who's climbing some corporate ladder somewhere? I highly suspect she chose that for herself. I have zero respect. None. I think she's just a stupid, stupid woman. They are invariably toxic and leave a wake of destruction wherever they go.

What do you think of Jenna Ellis, Kayleigh McEnany, or Sidney Powell? One thing I like about Trump is that he has promoted a lot of women to top positions.

Here's the problem... We promote these women into these high positions and give them all kinds of accolades. I look at them and just think of the waste - they wasted a chance to raise a family in order to chase a little fame and fortune. Some of them are actually competent at their jobs. But those are the absolute worst because they really serve to just confuse millions of women into thinking that a career like that is a good choice. An incompetent, fraudulent butch woman exec is less harmful than one of these "good ones" because the average woman won't be so tempted to follow that path. Hopefully that makes sense.

I'll put it to you another way...
Cultures have existed for thousands of years without female lawyers, doctors and press secretaries and bridge engineers. But society absolutely can not survive without women having babies and raising children.

When I was just dating my wife, we agreed that we would survive on whatever I managed to pull in whenever kids came along. If that meant a junker of a car and living in a trailer, then so be it. We were poor for a long time. I used to take her out for a night on the town where we'd splurge and get a Burger King whopper for 99 cents and a cup of water. I joked that one day I'd really make it to the big time and I'd be able to afford to get her a whopper with cheese for an extra 35 cents! hahaha! I'm being for real. God has blessed us financially since then.

And what if that woman deliberately educated herself and worked her way up the ladder so she could sacrifice her own desires and instead have more to give to those in need... say fund a missionary or an orphanage?

Is that any different to an apostle choosing to not provide for his own?, but instead “leaving wife and children” to enter the ministry?

Or is it any different to a man choosing to forgo marriage and children to work for the Lord someplace dangerous, or to
Work longer hours so he can support a work of God?

Or how about a lost woman educating and elevating themselves in employment, so they can do good with the extra money they make? Maybe To pay for their parents medication, treatment or nursing home?

Maybe the corporate climber is just a power and money idolising feminist.

Maybe the waitress is trying to make ends meet and struggling....

but then again maybe the waitress is funding her next drug hit, or saving for an abortion or something horrible.

We just don’t know and we can’t judge before the time. Only God can judge the thoughts and intents of the heart.

As I was saying before, I feel like it comes down to making choices and having to live with those choices. I think every woman's situation is a little different and I try not to judge the decisions other women make. I just know that as a mom... once you bring a child into this world, everything changes. Every decision you make after that has a direct impact on your children. I agree with you that women in high positions can be a bad example if it makes a mom feel guilty for staying home... or if it makes her end up choosing a career where she is at work 80 hours a week and never sees her kids while they are being raised by daycare, a nanny, or Lord knows who else. I just pray that those women are able to find peace. I don't know how I could make that choice.

What is a "career woman"?
What is a feminist?

I think people have different definitions. I thought feminism was about equality cos that's the definition of it... But when I asked what isn't equal, all I got is "cos we have babies" and " men have oppressed women" and all these other slogans and warped thinking...

Man I was soooo angry at my sister when I figured out what feminism actually was. Cos I went to uni and did engineering. She went and done the arts. We both went to private secondary schools and finished with Christian morals. But in 4 year Melbourne university changed my sister into a feminazi...

I was never interested in social subjects which I now regret. I was just interested in machines, engineering and stuff... Ok... And she would challenge me with these feminist arguments that used to absolutely fry my brain... She became such a feminazi that she refuses to acknowledge the stuff she was doing...

She joined te lefts uni political party... So all conservative views were now deemed evil by her...

Me and my dad voted in secret in federal and state elections... IN SECRET... Cos dad didn't want to provoke her...

She'd would make me so mad...

Bringing up LGBT topics at the dinner table... Like what the hell... She knows what we believe... We're not outspoken about it... My Olds are even more disgusted by it than me... But no respect from lil feminazi sis back then. She demanded that we denounce our beliefs for her noble ones...

Man I wanted to slap her the face. I was so mad at her... i would challenge her or tell her to shut up and she would pull this same move move every time... Cry

She starts crying. That instantly turns our olds onto me. It's reactive. Little sibling crying in an exchange. It's older siblings fault. But for her it's tactical. She does that on purpose. I know she does... I just know...

But I only learnt this crying tactic 5 or 6 years ago. I was so dirty cos she used it as an aggression tool all my life. It put a rift between me and my olds everytime. I would say something that would make her so indignant that she was compelled to release her aggression onto me...

I only learnt about feminism 5 or 6 years ago as well...
I gave it to my sister for at least 6 months with questions and logic and lectures and my thoughts... I verbally smashed her...

Then I let it go... She never apologize, or admitted any wrong but I forgive her deep down... She was indoctrinated. A sweet innocent girls at the she of 18... An animal 4 years later...

So now we don't live together so we're not in each other's faces all the time. I know her head better now that I know feminism. So I can avoid such situations much better.

Though she still managed once when I asked her to help me explain something to dad. She still managed to find something to get offended about and pull the bs cry move... She knows I know the move now...

Anyway I hope that wasn't too boring to read but that's my feminist sister and I over the years... I still love her

I definitely think defining feminism has gotten confusing because it's just another trigger word that everyone seems to want to use against you. If I say I'm not a feminist (which is true...I'm not) then I get a backlash from people who go back to the early days when women couldn't even vote, etc. I mean of course I'm grateful for all the things women got in the 20th century. But today, "feminism" really means 4th wave feminism and all the toxic things it has created like cancel culture, etc. It's just so divisive and honestly hateful without even an ounce of forgiveness. There is literally nothing about it that helps me as a woman today.

One MAJOR reason I'm cautious about marriage. Porn addiction is pervasive even among married men; it doesn't just stop once they are married. Porn addiction reduces need for intimacy with real woman including wife. There is no way a wife can compete with porn or sexbot, especially if the man prefers younger women and as the wife gets older. Wives do not want to be intimate with husbands if the husband is looking at porn; I guess it is just a bad cycle. Both female and male sexbots will become more common in the future; they are developing sexbots in a way where it is more pleasurable to have sex with a sexbot than a real human. A person can design his/her own sexbot with favorite criteria, and they can be fine tuned into being submissive slaves.
That's a little scary.

I still love her
I think it's brainwashing by the people who run colleges. The powers that be even own Academia and they're perverting everything.

I'm worried about this country because of all the twisted logic that has been implanted.

I could not agree more. Parents need to do even more homework before helping their kids where to go to college these days. There are some absolutely toxic things happening in universities. It's so scary because college age kids are so impressionable. These "teachers" in college have the power to brainwash them for life.

My husband sent me this video a while back. This gives you an idea of just how crazy the university environment has become:

The look on Jordan Peterson's face says it all: "That's not happening!"
