Hello I'm Amber and as of now I'm a separated mother of 2 and just would like to make some friends to discuss the Bible and other things. I joined here a couple months ago and and for some reason cant get on chat or even donate money to message anyone. I don't know if its me because I'm not that good at operating a computer other then turning it on and off. If anyone would like to send me a message it would be really appreciated. Thanks, Amber

There are other members who are separated too and each one has a story to tell. This site is an excellent resource for fellowship and making enduring friends. I am kind of tech challenged too but know enough to get by. Glad to have you join our community of believers. Welcome to CC.

Totally agree with tourist. I think the more you interact with others here, the more people can get to know you. Hopefully that leads you to the fellowship you're seeking! :)

The chat and even the chat downloads have been faulty for many people for over a year.
Also the donate option has not been working for many for a few months now.
The last page or two of the chat download forum may have some help from other users, depending on your issue with it.

Hey, Amber.

Well, as you already know from our dialogue elsewhere, I have some "chat" problems of my own.

That said, if I can ever be of assistance as far as discussing the Bible is concerned, then please don't hesitate to ask.

I'm guessing (I could be wrong) that you would probably feel more comfortable talking to a woman about the "other things" you mentioned, and I hope that the Lord leads you to some nice, Christian female friends here.

Hi Amber :) Welcome to the forums, feel free to contact me on my profile wall or here if you would like to chat with me, I am also a single bible believing mum :) and am happy to chat about the bible or anything you feel like for that matter.

I cannot private message or pay to be a member etc either, the link is down and the chat downloads dont work. I have tried to get admins attention but others have told me that it is just a problem with the site and its down to funding... I dont think it can be though as I make websites and the membership PayPal link is what isn't working, yet it works for basic donations.

Anyway, I say all this to assure you, it isn't you! It is just broken.

Just as an FYI, this website wouldn't allow me to become a paying member for the last two months, but it did accept my request last night, so maybe the problem has been fixed.

Just wondering can you actually pm people now? I just tried and it takes me to the pay for membership page again.... Even though I just paid up.

I had the same problem initially. Apparently, the PM function needs to be activated manually by an administrator. You can either acknowledge @RoboOp or @Oncefallen in a post such as this, and ask them to activate it for you, or you can ask via the "Contact Us" option down at the bottom of the page. This is what I did yesterday, and they had me up and running in about an hour.

You'll probably get a private message from an administrator asking you if you want to customize your user title. In other words, whereas it now says "Well-known member" under your username, you'll probably be given the option to change that to say whatever you'd like it to say. I customized mine yesterday. Took a few hours after I requested the change.
