Was the Garden of Eden, literally Heaven on Earth? Was the Earth already fallen except for the Garden?

"Somewhere"?

People will say what they like, but the biblical assertion is that Jesus IS the last Adam, not "in" the last Adam.

No.
Because you don't want it to be that way? I think it explains why we have a soul.

My wants on the subject are irrelevant. Scripture is the authority.
Does it say somewhere that Jesus became the last Adam when He became flesh? Jesus is still our savior, I just don't think the "last Adam" started at His birth ..right? I think the Son of God became our souls in the Garden. Jesus had to become flesh to take away satan's claim on us.

Did the last Adam have Jesus in him as the Spirit, and then Adam had a spiritual death in the Garden? Jesus's resurrection gave man the option to be spiritual again ..to allow Jesus in.

The last Adam starting in the Garden means prehistoric humans were free to exist beforehand. They had zero chance of making it to Heaven ..but this explains the bones.

Did God start the Garden after satan's fall to give humans a chance at Heaven?

Was the flood about getting rid of the people that satan and his demons caused to fall after creation?

Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth
@Nehemiah6

why does God say "replenish" here?
why not "fill" ?

replenish means it used to be full and it's not anymore, and needs to be refilled.
that's very different than an earth that was created largely empty and needs to be filled for the first time.

what does this mean?
it's another Biblical support for a previous generation on earth. not to say i believe this or do not believe this, but to say that there is Biblical support

Well, they walked out the Garden somehow? That means there was a border, right?

Genesis 3:24 (KJV)

24. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
That sounds like a gate to me. I wonder if that East entrance is still guarded by the cherubim? What about the North, South, and the West?

Wow. I hadn't noticed that before. Genesis 9:1 makes your point through Noah.

Genesis 9:1 KJV - "And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth."

What do you think this means . . . @posthuman ?

satan's highjacked wave collapse caused corrupted physical history for soulless humans. Evolution was put in place.
or between "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" and "and the earth was formless and void and the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters" there was the habitation of angels and a mineral Eden over which Satan was federal head, as Adam over the vegetable & animal Eden, and there Satan walked among the fiery stones until sin was found in him -- and the LORD in judgement destroyed it with a flood.

it is speculative but not unsupportable from scripture

what i put in the post above is what my pastor believes. i had previously scoffed at such ideas before i met him, not reallu giving it serious thought, but he makes a strong case. i'm a bit undecided, and of course, how can i say? i wasn't there, and God didn't directly tell us. but that is what that preacher would tell us is what 'replenish the earth' means when God tells Adam and eve to do so - it means it used to be filled but isn't anymore, for some reason -- and we ought to try and figure out the reason from what scripture tells us

I thought of the below verse after reading what you wrote above. The NLT version is unbelievable.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV - "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done [is] that which shall be done: and [there is] no new [thing] under the sun."

Ecclesiastes 1:9 NLT - "History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new."

Scripture simply doesn't specify "when" the last Adam became a live-giving Spirit.

Is Jesus our way out of the loop?

Absolutely! And if that first verse was surprising, check out [HOW] Jesus gets us out of the Loop. (These verses blew me away when I read them in the NLT, and then I found them to be just as remarkable in nearly every other translation.)

Colossians 2:9-15 NLT - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."

The KJV is also incredible for this set of passages.

As a woman reading that, I'm glad they clarified that it's in a "spiritual" sense! That's a very powerful passage though. Thanks for sharing it.

Is it suggesting there was a Big Bang before ours? Didn't Penrose say this?

Or is it only the Earth that restarts?
