States all over the country including Georgia are calling for a convention of States. With HR1 (threatening the fabric of our Republic) the (in)equility act (threatens the woman and religious rights) and protections like the Hyde Amendment on tax-funded abortions will probably be cut out. We are seeing a power grab like nothing we have seen before. Go to the website to learn more, sign the petition, and learn about why this is desperately needed.

George Washington quote:

“The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government. But the Constitution, which at any time exists, ‘till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole people, is sacredly obligatory upon all. … If in the opinion of the people the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this in one instance may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed.”

"Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states the power to call a Convention of States to propose amendments. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 to ratify any amendments that are proposed. Our convention would only allow the states to discuss amendments that, “limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials.”

This is good. But why was this movement not started back in November when the election was blatantly stolen? Five months wasted when they could have made some serious decisions? And what about the border states shutting down their borders and also deporting illegals under existing immigration laws?

I believe the movement has been active for years but only now gaining a lot of attention.

Share and promote to everyone. It is time.
Ive been promoting the movement ever since I heard about it. Encouraging to see more people learning about the process.
Theyve already held a dry run cos. and it went pretty good.

And clearly Article V is our way forward. Which is disturbing to say the least.

Disturbing but not unforeseen as to why the founding fathers put it into place. My question is will enough states want to protect the Republic and God-given rights. I pray we are not at the point where the majority are would prefer slavery over liberty.

A convention of states can open a Pandora's Box, and result in the opposite of what you want. It will give the opposition a chance to codify their dream sheet.

The majority of States are conservative controlled and takes 38 to ratify amendments. That is a lot and your Pandora box is a myth. The opposition is already nuking the system to codify their dream utopia.

I hope you realize that a convention of the states can actually rewrite the entire constitution. That is the last thing that we want to see.

trivia question. What amendment took the longest time to ratify, and how long did it take?

Yes, with the support of 38 states.

Over 400 applications for a Convention of States have been filed, but we have never had one because there have never been 34 applications seeking a Convention for the same purpose. This demonstrates that the purpose or scope specified in the applications does matter. States can instruct their respective delegates to entertain a more narrow scope than what is within the aggregated application, but they cannot broaden the topic beyond that identified in the 34 passed applications.

The 27th actually being a old proposal but did not get ratified until centuries later.
