There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.
“who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”. People who walk after the flesh cannot claim this promise, no matter how much they insist they are OSAS.
God chastises His children; does this not differ from punishment?
Those who choke their servants, return to their filth and pig pens, fall away, become entangled again in the world after escaping it, etc., are no longer God’s children - they are children of the the god of this world.
Besides, God is good to all, not just the saved... unless you are speaking of the final judgment. The unrepentant receive the final irrevocable punishment of everlasting death, whereas those saved by grace through faith in the shed righteous blood of Jesus Christ have attained to life ever after, and we are told we can know we possess this.
Know as in know it now, not at some future, unspecified and unknown date
The promises of God are Yea and Amen only in Christ - those who withdraw their surrender from God’s will to their own will can no longer claim these promises and to do so is a vain practice called presumption.
For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames. From 1 Corinthians 3
Again, referring to those surrendered to God’s will — though they fall seven times, they rise up again by His grace, but they who permanently withdraw their surrender from God’s will are hopeless.

Romans 9:16 (HCSB)

AMEN!

Everyone commits iniquity because everyone sins. Only Jesus never committed iniquity.
A Just Man sins by not taking careful aim and missing the bullseye. A Lost Man, whether he claims to be OSAS or not, commits iniquity by lining his eye up on the bullseye, but then turning around 180 degrees and deliberately shooting the opposite way.

OSAS wants the practitioner of iniquity to enjoy the same mercy and grace of God as does the Just Man, but it cannot and will not be :)

We already know about Christian Origination - the discussion is about Christian Obligation.

A Christian is not OSAS - if he permanently withdraws his surrender from the will of God and surrenders himself once again to his own will, that formerly grace saved, born again man will have his agape “wax cold” and dead in him and he will go to hell.
you don’t know anything about anything

if you can’t earn salvation, and if everyone is guilty. There is only one thing left.

how long will you continue to deny the power f God to change people? You claim God will fail, There is no victory in NOSAS

I took it the wrong way.

But I have always been to taught there is no small sins, they are the SAME SIZE TO GOD.
I agree, I was just making it in a way he could not Argue against,

remember he claims his sins are small, so he can just confess and he is ok, because he does not commit the grave sins,

Once again, you slander with false truth

its amazing you scream obedience, yet break one of the ten commands every time you mention OSAS, because your pride is to deep to see you have no idea what they really teach (mainstream, all belief systems have their fanatics. Which do not hold to the truth of the doctrine)

Er...could you please just tell me what these other commandments are?
“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”

Romans 13:8-10

The Ten Commandments are summed up in love.

Jesus says in Matthew 22:37-40:

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

I find it strange that they accuse others of cherry picking the Bible — the truth is when they post a verse they think supports OSAS, their opposition says “Amen” (to the verse, not their argument)....

....BUT....

.....when the opposition posts a verse destroying their argument, they pretend they are dead to it  Which sounds like cherry picking?
That happens when they begin with the axiom "There is only ONE gospel" throughout.

Since they use Paul's gospel of grace as the foundation for that gospel, they have to begin with the belief in OSAS, which Paul preaches.

But because they hold to that axiom, they then try to make all other passages from the gospel of the kingdom, which was preached by Jesus and the 12 to Israel, including the famous James chapter 2, to all mean the same as what Paul is teaching.

Yes, the UNPARDONABLE SIN is any sin for which we fail to seek pardon because of our UNBELIEF in Jesus’ words that we must do so.
The only twisting that takes place when it is shown that OSAS teaches salvation is a license to sin, is the twisting of YOUR warped theology back into Biblical theology.
You have NO IDEA what habits I’ve overcome through the power of my indwelling Jesus....but since YOU went there...don’t be jealous because you sit in church shouting about how you’re “more than a conqueror” but later get your butt handed to you by Satan when he comes around with that sinful habit you love so much and then afterward praise God that the precious blood of His Son gives you permission to sin.

You truly believe Jesus can give you victory over temptation?

Then, please stop pretending someone has a gun to your head forcing you to indulge that habit and start getting on your knees when you’re tempted and then rise up one who is TRULY “more than a conqueror”.

Blah, Blah, Blah nonsense is all you post. What you think, how you act is shown to the rest of us by "what you say." Satan doesn't "pass you by" Mr. as you speak falseness about those of us who actually find comfort and assurance of our salvation. As for leading a "sinless" life, your words towards the rest of us about your "sinless" life is nonsense.

The "conquer" is Jesus Christ who has "conquered" the world and who has made it possible for we sinful inhabitants of this diminished creation to be able to directly talk with Him, one day come before His presence and be held in His arms.

The most important part about God is His LOVE for His creation and how much He loves us all UNconditionally.

I didn’t ignore your point. Have you read Romans 13:8-10?
Yes, I love those verses because they perfectly illustrates what true love is: the thing from which good works are manifested. Likewise, selfishness is that from which evil is manifested.

There's another text that speaks about "faith which worketh by love".

We are walking after the Spirit as soon as we accept Jesus Christ's blood for the remission of our sins.
You show you do not believe that He will complete the work He began in others, though it is promised.
In essence, you are denying the work of the Holy Spirit of God. <- That is the definition of blasphemy.

i heard a osas pastor say one time " some folks are saved, they just don't know they are"

what a ridiculous statement.

so, as much as we disagree with much, we hopefully can agree that osas is a joke.

You do KNOW, you joined a thread where 9 out of 10 regular Posters are OSAS.

John 10:27-28 (HCSB)
27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
28 I give them
eternal life, and they will never perish—ever!
No one will snatch them out of My hand.

Yes that is Galatians 5:6

“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.”
