Acts 2.38 is not a plan of salvation for today
This shows either (1) your lack of understand of the Gospel or (2) your inability to see that Peter was speaking by the power of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. There would never be another Gospel message as powerful as this one, where 3,000 souls were saved and baptized on the same day!

Acts 2 is as much for today as it was then. Indeed the pattern of the true New Testament church is revealed in this chapter, as is the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is simply amazing how people identifying themselves as Christians try to undermine the Gospel at every opportunity. And that is exactly what this thread is about. Even the Muslims consistently uphold the Koran and brook no criticism regarding its false message.

ACTS is transitional, so its daft to pick the beginning of a transitional book of 28 chapters and call that the plan of salvation ( 2.38 ) literally insane .
And your remarks are TOTAL NONSENSE AND ALSO INSANE. You need to go back to square one.

Meaning you see it as an uninteresting issue? Then why mention it?
To set the record straight, not make it a salvation issue. I trust you would have seen that at the beginning. But if you enjoy nitpicking go right ahead.

If you can't take a simple question without yelling and calling people insane, then do not engage yourself in discussions here. Look for other boards. Wordly such. Now you will be on ignore.

38¶Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Said not one time in Paul's epistle s .

Tribesman has put at least three people on Ignore just this morning. At this rate, he's going to have the forum to himself within a week.

Jonah's preaching was pretty effective also. That wasn't the Gospel of Grace either .

THE GOSPEL = THE DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION OF CHRIST
That is NOT the gospel. All scripture is about the gospel from Genesis to Revelation, and it is about the plan that God has for the salvation of our souls. It is true that what Christ did those three days he was dead in the body and alive in the spirit is the center of the plan, but it is the plan that is the gospel, not God's way of carrying out the plan.

Because His letters were to churches, and thus people who had already repented and been baptized.

Another denier of the true Gospel. Now you are showing your true colors. Everything from Genesis to Revelation is summed up in those passages. When the Gospel is preached, no one could possibly go from Genesis to Revelation even in 24 hours. And if you are unable to see that, you too need to go back to square one.

When you deny that scripture is about salvation, you are denying the gospel. I agree that God used Christ to fulfill His plan, but it is not correct that God's entire plan is fully explained and summed up by saying 'resurrection".

Some time ago I determined it best to put some on ignore after years of bearing with insults and innuendo I must say, confess, it has been very peaceful for me here since that time.
/
It is better to put those who may make the forum contentious on ignore than to sin by contention's design.

I believe Tribesman is wise beyond the many.

I agree. I have several posters on ignore, I need to follow your advise closer. By not letting these accusers and screamers in our life, it makes those who love the Lord and believe in His ways more precious.

Thinking slowly through this ,why would you ( or anyone) choose Acts 2.38 in a transitional book consisting of 28 chapters spread over many years and say thats the plan of salvation today ? literally makes no sense . But here we are many denominations landing on Acts 2.38 ? crazy !
Paulines reject everything not written by paul.

Acts 2.38 is not a plan of salvation for today .. It was what Israel had to do because they crucified Their messiah. Nothing in Acts 2 is aimed at anyone but Israel and proselytes, Their children and all those Jews afar off ect ( Jews )( Acts 2 .11 ,19 )
" had to do"?

They were not saved.

They needed to repent and recieve Jesus

Same gospel .
Nothing different.
