"Unable to make it simple, you may be out of your element."
( so says Confucius )
God asked Job some simple questions but God being God, there are some elements where simple can never achieve the majesty of God. Not every theological explanation can be simple.

Confucius is right on secular matters though.

the visions alone are humbling.

they remind me of his creation, and that i'm just a small part in his Magnificent scheme of things!
they remind me that anything is possible through him.

my life has change as not to expect, but to cherish these signs from him.

i feel honored to be around the Glorious World he has provided and to not take anything for granted.

i would love to hear others' similar experiences.

Dreams, visions, transfigurations, healing, words of knowledge, prophetic, pretty much all of them.

Cool so how does the Spirit help you understand the Bible? I'm hoping by asking these type of questions and getting real life testimony, it can help new believers or older believers who have not had much contact with the power of the Holy Spirit.
No one can really understand the Bible unless they have the indwelling Holy Spirit. Unbelievers without the Holy Spirit can understand some aspects from a human wisdom point of view and see the moral value of following its teachings, but they have no understanding of how it all fits together to show the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ that leads to salvation.

That means that much of what Paul wrote is meaningless to an unconverted person. They see the words, but they don't understand what they mean. That is why they think Paul is saying things different to what Jesus said. They don't have the Holy Spirit to link the two together.

i can confirm through my faith.

an example is once i was walking down an upper path at the beach, a pinecone fell in front of me glowing brilliantly like the sun.
the feeling i got from witnessing this was unearthly. i know 100% it was a vision from The Holy Spirit.
i've had other visions, some would think hallucinations. for example, everything turning black and white, and a modern car turning into a model T right before my eyes.

as far as the audio, when listening to people speak, certain words or phrases "zap" me into a religious state of mind instantly.
as if a third party jumped into the conversation. without faith, i would think i needed my head checked.
Faith does not come through receiving visions and experiences. The Bible says that faith comes through hearing the Word of God. What this means is that faith in Christ comes through hearing the preaching of the Gospel. Paul said, "The Gospel of Christ is the power of God that leads to salvation to those who believe it".

If you are basing your faith on visions, experiences, and the "zapping" of words into your mind, then the devil is always around to make it happen.

How is this different from New Age thinking?

The devil can provide all of these things if people decide to put their faith in them instead of the written Scriptures.

So you do not believe that all mankind are born wicked and would not turn to God in less it was due to the Spirit of God? I believe the Spirit of God draws all of mankind in some form or fashion giving everyone without excuse. Because some took what the Spirit revealed and ignored or rebelled against it.

So even though they may not understand 98% they are accountable to the 2% like the need for a Savior due to their sins or the knowledge of sin.

The Devil will not compliment the Word of God. He always twists or lies. You test everything against the Word. So if a vision or dream compliments scripture then it is of God.

i don't know what that is.
New Age spirituality is a form of modern occult which involves spirit guides, fortune telling, horoscopes, holistic healing remedies, Bach flower remedies, colour therapy, liberal religion that denies the virgin birth and resurrection of Christ.

It is the Holy Spirit speaking through the preaching of the Gospel of Christ that draws people to Christ. Of course it has to be the true Gospel of Christ that involves the finished work on the Cross and the resurrection of Christ from the dead. Not the "lovey dovey" preaching that if you receive Jesus, He will be your friend, guarantee perfect health and give your prosperity.

Absolutely. Any dream, vision, or experience that goes beyond the bounds of God's Word, is a counterfeit.

Have you heard of the little Foxes that spoil the vines? Each vision may be inconsequential on its own, but when multiplied over thousands of deluded people, it becomes a major issue. Have a good look at Hillsong and Bethel churches and how they are extremely influential in Pentecostal and Charismatic circles.

I don't know about perfect health, but prosperity is having enough to survive. Prosperity isn't being showered in excess material and monetary wealth to the point of riches, though being a Christian doesn't eliminate the possibility of becoming filthy rich.

Then we die anyway. Ecclesiastes says all is vanity. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would say, at minimum, we can expect Jesus to be our friend, though, and so much more, because the alternative is He would not be our friend. Since the possibility of Him not being our friend can safely be eliminated, the remaining option is that He is for us and not against us.

my point is is that it's The Holy Spirit's work, not anything to do with Satan.

Not everything supernatural is of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit never works outside of the bounds of Written Scripture.
