I was told there's no more healing, but I always pray for it, or at the very least I keep asking Jesus to let me be able to get cochlear implants.
My sister plays a Koto and Id love to hear her.
My wife and I bought a puppy a few years ago, long story short we had two adult Bullmastiffs and our female bite the puppy and it bled out in my arms. As I turned around, walking to the house to wash of the blood from my arms, my wife started to pray for the puppy and it was healed instantly and came back to life. Now I know you don't believe in healing but I think Cola, the puppy, would disagree wholeheartedly with you :p :)

To pray for healing while you don't believe in it is like saying I know my car have breaks but I don't believe it will make the car stop :) God still heals today and it even could be through the implants, He can still do miracles.

Ask Him and share your heart with Him. He just might surprise you :)

I admit I don't know a lot about healing, I need to look into it more. They don't really talk about healing much at fundamentalist churches I think.

We can pray for you for that. There is a massively mixed bunch of views on healing, but regardless of views it doesn’t hurt to pray for what we need :)
Oh I would love that!
My appointment with the specialist is in July, I'm super excited but don't wanna get my hopes up.

My Mom says perhaps God has a plan for me for all this, to use me. :)

If you can pray for me I would be so grateful :)

Welcome, Lily! Looks like we have drawing in common. lol. I used to know ASL and taught it in schools. but since I haven't used it in over 30 years, I've forgotten much of it :/ I really should take it back up now that my hubby is hard of hearing. I remember some, just not all... and I can't read it worth anything! lol

Beethoven was deaf. He "felt" the music in his piano. :D

Yup, I also got baptized last year and I was so excited!
We are all so excited for you as well!:D

Luke
15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
15:5 And when he hath found [it], he layeth [it] on his shoulders, rejoicing.
15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together [his] friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
15:8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find [it]?
15:9 And when she hath found [it], she calleth [her] friends and [her] neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

It's just a matter of time!:):coffee: God has such wonderful things in store for all His dear children. It would be wonderful if we could all be there with you when you first hear your sister play!:)

I am so glad the Lord is letting us be together right now. Lets all pray for sister Lily right now!:)

Hello everone, I am a new member, and a little about me is that I love:

Christian comics,
Little House on the Prairie,
Drawing

I am deaf with Usher Type 3 Syndrome and I am half Japanese and half Salteaux (Native American Indian).
I grew up in a Christian home, but my Mom got saved from Buddhism and my Dad from Native Spirituality.
Great to meet you, Lily!

I'm a big Little House on the Prairie fan as well! Some of my favorite episodes are:
#49 - A Harvest of Friends
Season 1 - Episode 1

#48 - The Bully Boys
Season 3 - Episode 9

The Craftsman
Season 5 | Episode 15

I'm a mild comic fan, I didn't even know there was a Christian Comic industry. What's your favorite Christian Comic? May I ask what state you live in? Based on the family background you mentioned, I'd guess California, Oregon or Washington.

Yes, I love to draw, yeah it's always harder to read it, and you were a teacher? That's awesome. That's a dream one day

All the new comic ones are Christian Anime and Manga and I'm not allowed to read those, plus they also look kinda scary.

My Dad bought me off eBay a bunch of old comics like Christian Archie, and Chick crusader comics, and other old comics from the 2000's

I like the later episodes where they all fall in love and get married! :)

Hey, Lily.

I'm sorry to hear about the whole Usher Type 3 Syndrome thing (I had to look it up), but I will be praying for your healing.

Your photos and your posts reflect someone with a nice personality, so welcome to the forum.

I hope that your time spent here is a blessing to you, even as it's already been a blessing to us.

All sickness, infirmity, lack, etc. is an attack by the enemy to steal our health, wholeness, blessing, etc. and we can command it be removed in Jesus name. Sometimes we need to continue and not stop as the spirit/condition is deeply entrenched it is like a balance, each prayer adds to the one before until the scale tips.
Bless you Miss Lily, I am praying for you in Jesus name.

Hi, Lily.

There is a good book on the topic of Divine healing entitled "Christ the Healer" by F.F. Bosworth.

You can access it and read it for free in a pdf format at the following link:

http://www.despatch.cth.com.au/Books_V/Christ the Healer - F. F. Bosworth.pdf

This book is also available on YouTube in audio form. I know that you're presently hearing-impaired, but there is a CC (Closed Captioning) button that you can click on each of the individual videos, and the words will appear on your computer screen for you to read. There are 11 videos in all, and here are the links for them if you're interested:
