it seems to be getting colder each year.
snow........... Usually it only arrives in June
In my part of the US yesterday we reached almost 90F (NOT something that usually happens in May. Usually the weather extreme is it gets colder and we get snow again NOT heat) now today and this week it drops down to to 60's and 50's.......

Perhaps these strange changes in weather patterns are just another sign that His return is drawing even closer.

You can send the heat this way and I can send the cold your way if you like but we need to keep the rain otherwise we go into drought which is REALLY HARD.
Everything is strange in the world, in particular the last two or so years. I would say it is a sign of the Lords return (y)

Someone gave me a heap of fresh veggies from his garden which was really nice but I didn't know quite what to do with it all so I made two large pots of veggie soup and froze as much as I could. It was really nice but I have been having it for the last few nights and tonight I just feel like extra chocolate fudge and a KFC donut burger lol. Anything that is unhealthy and greasy

I just lit the fire and ready for the night. We have three days forecast of rain. I guess we need it but I kind of wish at least the temp was warm. I think it seems to be getting colder each year. I dont like the cold..

I hear you...I don't much like the cold my self....but!! lol. I shouldn't complain the wee corner I'm in is quite moderate. Today it is 'wet, wet, wet and 7°c :coffee::coffee::coffee:

You KNOW what that song is about, don't you? :)
I looked it up, fearing you were going to say something like crystal meth, which is very wrong, as it turns out :)

In our interview with tommy James, he explained: "'Crystal Blue' was interesting. First of all, I was becoming a Christian at that time, and we never thought a thing about it. We never thought that doing something semi-religious was any big deal. We didn't think of it as being politically incorrect or anything like that. We just did what felt right. I wrote 'Crystal Blue Persuasion' with Eddie Gray and Mike Vale. Eddie came up with the little guitar riff, and Mike and I did the lyrics. And it just felt very right as a sort of semi-religious poetic song...

When we asked James if "Crystal Blue" is a reference to the Book of Revelation, he replied: "Yes, it is. It's out of the Bible. The imagery was right out of Chapter 19 of the Book of Revelation, about the lake of crystal, and just what John sees. The imagery was just right there. 'Crystal blue persuasion,' although those words aren't used together, it was what the image meant to me."

The lyrics, "It's a new vibration," are about James becoming Christian, but many listeners had their own interpretation. He explained: "Of course, everybody thinks if they don't understand what you're talking about it must be about drugs. But it wasn't. We were going through a real interesting time back then, and a very wonderful time. Everybody in the band, by the way, became Christian. And we're very proud of it. And 'Crystal Blue Persuasion' was sort of our way of saying that in a kind of pop record way." source

There was more, but I edited it to just the relevant stuff, and am glad you asked, because I enjoyed learning all that :D

y'all! our daughter is expecting our fourth grandbaby! it's a boy, due in October.

today our 5 yo grandson (who loves to cook) announced his new brother's name will be Chef Jet-Pack. :sneaky::LOL:

yyyyeah... i have hope the Lord will induce new baby's parents to maybe choose some other name. :)

ps-- pineapple absolutely belongs on pizza!!! ;)
Hello, Ellie, so wonderful to see you :D Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your fourth grandchild! :)

My apologies for not responding earlier, as I did not expect to see you posting two days in a row (very unusual!!!) :D

If you could, would you please add me to your pacing prayer list? I have a surgery upcoming on May 18th, related to my cancer, which I was diagnosed with a year ago in February just before everything was shut down due to COVID. I was laid off work two weeks later, underwent chemo and radiation through the end of April into early June, had my first surgery in mid August, and underwent more chemo following that surgery.

i've heard people say God doesn't micro-manage things, but, Phil, if He doesn't, how could He possibly make a promise like all things work together for good?
I feel I need to clarify something here, and I hope you will understand that when I say God is not micromanaging every little thing in the universe, it is to deny that He is MAKING liars lie, rapists rape, murderers murder, thieves steal, etc etc. That would make God evil, and doubly so, for He holds people accountable for their actions. At the same time YES!!! He is quite capable of making ALL things work to the good FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM! What an awesome God we have. I realize that may seem paradoxical but I embrace such paradoxes :)
