Yes you did. You keep changing your story.

You did say the elders were praying, and you did say the Saints in Heaven were praying.

PennEd is correct.

Ok, then can you name one non Catholic Christian from the 1st 4 centuries that believes the distinctive Protestant beliefs you believe? Just one.

You mentioned Revelation, did you skip over the part where the elders in heaven were offering prayers to God from the saints on Earth? Or have you read in 1 Timothy about how all Christians are asked to pray for each other? When you go to heaven, you are still part of the body of Christ (probably more so). They can pray for us. James tells us prayers from holy people are very powerful, if you’re in heaven I would think those prayers are probably more so.

AND.................

Humor me a minute...

It’s clear in that passage of Revelation those elders in heaven are offering prayers to God. I’ve never met a Protestant that disputes that by the way. They’re obviously not offering prayers for souls in heaven because people in heaven don’t need prayers, they’re in heaven already.

So who else would they be offering prayers for if not the people on Earth? Rev Ch 5: 8 is the verse.

Provide the post number where i said the prayers were the elders personal prayers. You and him are lying because you can’t read well and you’re blaming me for it.

Go count the number of Catholics and then go count the number of Baptists, Presbyterian, etc and get back to me. You are a clear minority.
the broad is the way. and wide is the road that leads to destruction and many be there that find it.

630 million evangelicals we are not as much as the 1.2 billion Catholics RCC yet, To know Jesus as my Lord and savior I know I am saved you provide no hope for the 1.2 billion and God will hold the leadership accountable. Very soon you guys will elect GAY POPE.

THEN YOU WILL BE THE FIRST IN THAT TOO.

You’re in the minority because your beliefs are not attested to by early Christians. You just do like the Mormans do and say that your particular biblical philosophy is correct and others are wrong, yet you do not claim to know for sure.

You have no basis to believe you’re right other than you saying you’re right. The Catholic Church has established its beliefs about authority from the Bible (there’s plenty of stuff written on this for you to read, and history supports its claim as apostolic.) You have nothing credible to argue with. You don’t claim infallibility so your interpretations are not credible.
thank you for your time here you will be leaving Goodbye and good luck.

Nope, not at all :) being that you are of a church of 1.2 billion with all the money you should be with liked mind RCC types. IF the RCC Chats were as good as ours you would be there anyway I am just helping you out.
it is better for you. Your pride can be groomed there and those will amen you no matter what you say.

You can promote the dead praying for you and praying to the dead and all the other things that are unbiblical. Goodbye :)

Ah now its personal prayers. But here is the question and you have already provided the answer.

Are the 24 elders in heaven and do they 'offer' prayers and do they give their own prayers. you answered this already in your above posts.

When you go to heaven, you are still part of the body of Christ (probably more so). They can pray for us. James tells us prayers from holy people are very powerful, if you’re in heaven I would think those prayers are probably more so.

The verbal gymnastics you are puling of are worthy of a gold medal lol ;)

You’ve done nothing but bash my church and my faith throughout this thread. I wasn’t the one who initially engaged you. If you can’t hold your own, maybe you shouldn’t talk to me.

Ex Cathedra dogmas are proof that Catholicism places non-Biblical teachings above Scripture.

Neither of them are Biblical, yet they are both mandatory for the Catholic to believe.

Again you’re lying, I never said the prayers of the saints in Rev 5:8 were the elders. EVER.

I do believe saints pray for us. Early Christianity attests to it and our doctrine on the communion of the saints defines it through scripture and tradition.

All Christians are called saints, not just a few dead people the popes endorse as special.

Catholics ascribe special powers to these dead people.

So not Biblical.

Yeah, go back to the book of Acts and you can see the church at the council of Jerusalem they made a doctrine for the whole church.

It's a pity the RCC don't take head to the scriptural truth of this meating in Acts 15:

The apostles and elders met to consider this question. After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. 8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

The Jerusalem council did not 'make' a Doctrine, they re - affirmed (Acts 15:7-8)what was already a teaching in the church which the judaisers where trying to pervert cf. Acts 15:1; 5.

ok, play the victim card like a snowflake all you won't give the DNC a call if you like. The foolishness from your first post and arrogance you did not even get the hint.

You have promoted the RCC false doctrine and we entertained it for too long. many have very clearly refuted your dead saints we can pray to. from the get-go, all you touted was " we are the first church" "we have more member than you "

How edifying, how powerfully providing revelation..... Not.

having the majority doesn't equate to speaking the truth or mean you are right? Was the RCC right and the Pope as the majority when they Butt munched with Mussolini? How about the doctrine that was taken from the RCC that Hitler used to kill Jews?

That riff has hurt the Christian church for decades even to this day the Jews don't like the RCC because of those Murdering devils.

You are the first organized denomination and have hurt the cause of Christ more than any other because you are the MOST.

You cry we are the first, we are the most, and you did the biggest harm to the body of Christ historically than any other.
Enjoy it you earned it.

No, be a man and please leave you will be removed soon.

thank you.

That is not true, if it had always been doctrine they would not of needed to come together and make the decision for the Church. They did not appeal to the Bible to make that decision either.
