Hey, I get another 3 day weekend next week as well. My day off during the week rotates and next time lands on Memorial Day (Monday) which means Saturday becomes my holiday, so it's Saturday, Sunday, Monday off. Double WOOHOO! :D
Now I know I have said this before, but I truly envy your work schedule😁.

I can’t live without coffee. It’s just like you say LIFE😀
Coffee with cream is VERY high on my gratitude list. I grew up Mormon, so coffee was a sin for much of my life. 😯 So now it's one of life's little pleasures. When my Mormon neighbors smell it, they must think I'm sinning terribly.😅

@Godsgirl83 I don't know if we ever actually discussed theology, but you've been nothing but a blessing from above. It was a pleasure knowing you. Blessings to you and your family.

@Magenta I wish you a speedy recovery and a long life in the Lord.

@shittim Thanks to you and several others here (too many to name) for all of the times you reached out to help me. I genuinely appreciate it.

All others, I wish you nothing but the best.

My time here is through.

Hope to see you on the other side.

Uh... that was quick. 😔

Too bad this place always make the honest and good folks leave without a second glance back... sometimes I actually consider leaving as well... but then again I stick to This forum or the “welcome“ forum, because of the rude and hateful folks that are on here.

lets just all be kind... treat others how we should... love one another, be like Christ to the broken...
help each other through other issues. But most importantly...

Realize not EVERYONE is going through the same thing YOU are, and help those who truly need someone to just LISTEN to them and encourage them.

end of rant.

Scripture says God created no unclean thing...........so, I wouldn't worry about drinking coffee too much

THE SAGA CONTINUES

My BinL and I went to the river this morning instead of the Lake. Had a fun day, all in all. Caught a lot of wee small Bream (me-19/him-33), 1 Drum and 1 Catfish (him-both) I also caught a nice size Snapping Turtle and a FISH THIEF! Most people are not aware that in the Lakes and Rivers of America there lurk sneaky, slinky fish thieves.
It's so true......Remember the clam shell I caught last time we went to the Lake? Well, today I caught one of those sneaky, slinky fish thieves red handed! Well, red mouthed, I guess........HERE'S THE PROOF!

It was a Brown Water Snake. Between 4 and 5 foot long. You will understand that I did not actually measure it by hand, right? :) You never know what you will catch when you go fishing, so be careful........

One thing that I really hate are snakes. They give me the creeps.o_O:eek:

One night when I walked out from my house to the back patio, I switched the light on and there was my cat playing with a snake. It had come under the back patio probably because the cement was slightly warm from the hot day we had. I couldn't believe it was out and about at night

Luckily my sister and brother in law were over. He came running and killed it with the shovel. My cat was not bitten by the grace of God.

You're totally wrong in relation to how the word "begotten" is used in relation to Jesus Christ.

If I decide to stay on this forum, then I'll more than likely start a thread on this topic sometime relatively soon.

In case I don't, here is but one example of what I'm talking about:

Acts chapter 13

[26] Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
[27] For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
[28] And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
[29] And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
[30] But God raised him from the dead:
[31] And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
[32] And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
[33] God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

Jesus Christ was "begotten" on the "day" in which God raised him from the dead.
I stand corrected on the fact that there are indeed different definitions for the various occurrances of the word 'begotten'; however, if you look them up, you will see how the original assessment the above quoted statement is based on cannot possibly be true.

Therefore - for the record - I fully and totally disagree with the original assessment.

The particular word present in the above quoted verses can/may figuratively mean 'to regenerate' (where it would otherwise mean 'to procreate'). And, if it is applied here, it is understandable how it would be seen as descriptive of the resurrection of Christ.

But, also keep in mind that the word found in Psalms 2:7 clearly means 'to beget'.
