I am starting this thread for sharing your verse of the day. It could be a verse that stood out to you , or a verse labeled as a verse of the day or any verse you desire to share.

This is the verse of the day I saw :

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:17‬ (‭ KJV‬‬ )

Thank you for starting this thread. It will hold me accountable for reading God's word every day. I may as well start with my favorite:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. John 1:1 (NET2)

Yes, all nations which God has made with hearts that desire and seek truth and respond with love and adoration for the Savior Jesus Christ, of the whole world, amen.(y)

Yes, the One and Only Jew FIRST....Yeshua/Jesus Christ...the ONLY begotten of The Father born in human flesh as a Jew.

ALL the rest of us are adopted, no one except Jesus Christ was born with God as Father.

All born in Abraham are born into the “promise” but NOT begotten of God the Father. However, ALL IN CHRIST are adopted and heirs of the promise God made to Abraham and his seed.

Yes, God sent His Word wrapped in human flesh, but God did NOT send His Word without His Holy Spirit. The Father sends BOTH - His Word and His Holy Spirit to accomplish His Will.

Jesus Christ as The Word would speak and then say, “He that has an ear, hear what the Spirit is saying.”

To know the Father, it takes both...the Word and the Holy Spirit, amen.

When I use the term, Jew, I refer to the true Praisers of God only.l

The Greek is referencing all non-believers not Greeks by nationality.

Here is mine ( Romans 13:11-14!!)
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Romans 13:11-14 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Romans 13:11-14&version=NKJV

Great scriptures! A wake up call for all of us in Christ! Thank you!(y)

Reading Psalm 33 this morning..

May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. (Psalm 33:22)

Wonderful thread just what the great physician ordered.

Ephesians 1:18
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,

1 Corinthians
Chapter 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
It's best to quote verse 9 WITH verse 10.....

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 King James Version (KJV)
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

God can show us things that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and the heart of man has not known or desired....it is by God's Spirit, we can know.

God has prepared a transformation for those that love Him....the mortal shall put on immortality, the corruptible will become incorruptible....the Holy Spirit can show us these things....(y)

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;

for I am meek and lowly in heart:

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is a great vrs with much meaning. It holds me accountable for my actions and deeds along with my speech.

When I'm doing work for another (I'm a contractor) it's easy to make it look good but the question is...is it.?
Would I do the same if it were for jesus.
My time can be rounded off and who would know? .....jesus.
My speech....would I speak to jesus that way.
In short I take this to mean do unto others as you would do for or to jesus.

It can be challenging 😉😉😉
