do you have Tattoos?
What kind of silly question is that? Of course not. BTW the nanotechnology of the bogus vaccines for COVID is electronic tattooing with nanoparticles. So do you have those in your system?

That is called Relativism. "Relativism is a family of philosophical views which deny claims to objectivity within a particular domain and assert that facts in that domain are relative to the perspective of an observer or the context in which they are assessed."

So here is God's rebuttal to that: Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. (Lev 19:28). "I am the LORD" stresses the fact that this commandment comes from God, and it is as valid for Christians as it was for Israel.

Tattoos, paganism, and false religions are all connected. And the Bible makes it perfectly clear that God's people MUST NOT tattoo themselves.

Here's some observations from "The History of Tattoos" website
[http://www.historyoftattoos.net]
"Ancient Egypt and India used tattoos as methods of healing and as methods of religious worship. They were also marks of a status in a society but also a punishment. Tattoos in Philippines were marks of the rank and accomplishments and people there believed that they have magical properties. [Note: magical properties and demonic spirits go together]

When Christianity appeared, tattooing was considered a barbaric tradition and it slowly faded in Europe. As the tattooing became cheaper it again was seen as a mark of a lower class [not to mention a trademark of criminals]. It stayed like that until 1960s and the hippie movement when it slowly entered mainstream changing from deviant behavior to acceptable form of self-expression..."

It is still regarded as deviant behavior for Christians.
How do you know Leviticus 19:28 addresses modern tattoos and not the culture back then?

I just asked if you had one nothing to get bent out of shape for a simple no would suffice. I don't know If I have that in my system but I do have another toe growing on my left foot. And I have been dreaming weird dreams as I listen to Carol Bennet's records played backward.

I was actually thinking of the verse that says whatsoever is not of faith is sin( see Romans 14:23)

For me it was wrong when I got a tattoo and I don’t plan on getting more. If getting a tattoo helps a victim of abuse to heal or helps someone with a form of trauma to heal, I don’t see this as wrong.

You can back away from my wife sparky!

The 2 lines were put in all the way around my finger thus they are rings. It is possible and likely that I'll have it done over at 55 years. Not very difficult at all.

likely that I'll have it done over at 55 years?
Now that’s what I call stupid.

This thread is plain nasty.

By all means hold fast to your own convictions regarding what you choose to obey from the law, but I think some folks are forgetting it is what comes out of your mouth that defiles you, for what is in the heart comes out of the mouth, not out of a tattoo needle.

If some of these words and attitudes were audible and in person, instead of being "bravely" thrown at people online, many others would clearly see just how defiled a heart can be without bringing a single tattoo into the equation.

I dont want to partake in this other than to say I wish threads like this were banished from the public view if not banned, as they discredit and make a mockery of the love of christ and the unity we should have for one another that shows Christ came in the flesh.

Straining at gnats whilst swallowing camels....

The only "sin" (if you believe tattooing is a sin) that defiles your "temple" is sexual immorality. It is written in every version of the New Testament. Period.

Thanks for the admission. The abnormal is the new normal in CC.
Frankly, except for Moses Young, nobody else here seem to fear God.

If you don't have the fear of God, it's useless to talk about the love of God.
The fear of God and the love of God GO TOGETHER.
Just as Repentance and Faith GO TOGETHER.
And Salvation and Holiness GO TOGETHER. (If you are living unholy, worldly lives, you'll be in for a big shock in the future!)
The fear of God is only the beginning of wisdom, but perfect love casts out ALL fear, and the one who fears has not been made perfect in love, for fear has to do with torment.

Don't make stuff up. The law had curses and blessings and people obeyed out of fear, but, now it is written, IF WE LOVE HIM, WE WILL DO AS HE COMMANDS. For it is He who works in us to will and to do His good pleasure. And it is He who has shed abroad His love in our hearts... a different era, a different reason to obey, a different relationship, a different motive, a different heart.

Having a tattoo doesn't matter. It isn't what enters a person that defiles them, but rather what comes out of their mouth. Words that come out of the mouth proceed from the heart, and out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a person.

Don’t give me a fake explanation. You just don’t want to OBEY GOD.

Somebody with tats hurt your feelings? You seem obsessed about them for some reason.
For your undeveloped mind, let me make things clear.

I studied the subject of tattoos at length.
I though the articles on ‘The Truth about Tattoos’ and ‘Tattoos and Demon Possession’ would receive diligent attention and lead to some confession and repentance by those convicted.

The obsession is not mine. Nobody sports tattoos in our part of the world. But they seemed to have caused an uproar here in this lovely-dovey, namy-pamby group of Bible-ignorant friends.

They (and perhaps, you?) are trapped in a web of lies - false preaching by sentimental wishy-washy Western preachers.

Why don’t you read the Bible, and OBEY all its commands? You can do it by God’s grace. Remember, Phil 4:13. EB87B319-C697-495A-B1AA-A3E81FFC33A1.jpeg

I have added it to the list. I am currently still trying to sort out why the sword of Goliath was behind the ephod in the tabernacle at Nob, and teaching my friend the typology of Christ in Judges 19-21 ;)

And I have no tattoos nor any desire or affection for them!
Posthuman, the sword of Goliath was kept behind the ephod so that when the time came it could be used to deal with the enemies of God. Not only by David.

Looks like the sword of Goliath has been used here, as I see an unwarranted outcry from these Philistines (or Moabites? who are more fleshly) who’ve covered themselves not with spiritual armour but with the poisonous spider’s web of lies.

I don't believe that is the point of this thread. But after a person is saved, his or her life is transformed. Which includes avoiding tattoos. If there is no change is attitudes and behavior, then perhaps salvation was not a reality.
Thank you, Nehemiah! You summed it up succinctly! Cheers!
"If there is no change in attitudes and behavior, then perhaps salvation was not a reality!" That's exactly what I mean!

1. Now, I might as well say, Enough is enough!
Except for Moses Young and you, Nehemiah, I don't see many strong and balanced Christians around. Posthuman is a good man, but he likes to please the ladies! (Still, I love him with Christian love! He's got a sense of humour!)

2. As for the rest, they need to get their act together.
3. I am thinking of taking a break from CC. These loony ladies (totally ignorant of God's Word) have not been properly taught the Word of God, and they scream with futile rage when the truth cuts through all their sham and pretense.
4. It would have been good to have an intelligent and balanced discussion with men who know God's Word.
5. I am sorry about De-Emerald. I didn't know that it was a 'he'. The way he/she wrote, it was typically over-excited feminine behaviour. I apologize to him/her. She is a good soul, but misled by her 'girlie gang'. She can take satisfaction from my beautifully designed Bible posters, knowing that I am a true Christian and a gentlemen.
6. As regards the rest, they belong to Vanity Fair. They are quite capable of serving Lord Hategood and his villainous gang, who martyred poor Faithful.
7. Well goodbye, Nehemiah, Moses Young, Posthuman and Dean (sorry about my barb! 'undeveloped').
8. And P.S. Tell oldman to keep working on that tattoo on his ring finger. He has to modify it every year - or his wife will take him to task!

Goodbye....now!

Someone called t8t has been performing a St Vitus Dance here with a lot of negative emojis. Heshe has been callng me devil, satan, son of belial, etc. Hope she is not frothing at the mouth with her vile vituperation.

Deeply concerned that my well-researched irrefutable articles on ‘The Tragic Truth about Tattoos’ and ‘Tattoos and Demon Possession’ are causing chorea and other loony convulsions among the female folks here.

If they had confessed their sin and truly repented, they would not behave in this demented fashion!

Try taking your message to the heathens maybe? Who knows you might scare them all away from God. We here are confirmed Christians with beautiful personal connections to God which you are NOT PART OF! Time you leave old boy, you were beaten thousands of years ago!
