This plan is at least 200 years too late. Texas has been at war with Mexico forever, yet not a single governor or legislator had the gumption to actually make a serious plan about a wall and then proceed with it. Hundreds of thousands of illegals are already in Texas, so unless he is also prepared to search them out and deport them, this will be a half-baked plan.

Correct. This is mostly a stunt.

There are a lot of rumors out there about people running to his right in the Primary, so he's looking to score points where he can with the base.

That said, I'll be happy when the bricks get a laying. It's something, but it won't stop me from supporting Allen West if he jumps in.

I had a fair amount of interaction with him about a decade ago.

Same man he is onstage, but maybe a little more quiet. His raw IQ is a lot higher than most politicians out there. I'd love to see what he does with a state as great as Texas.

That would be a good choice. He says it like it is.

lol, from northern south America through central America the criminal organizations have gone from town to town, city by city and set up their organizations by doing the genealogies of every city and local government official. Then they told them who their parents were, where their children went to school and where absolutely everyone in their family lived and worked.

It's that simple they go after the organized government(or anyone they need) and put them in a spot where they cant do anything other than what they are told to do or else. They know they cannot protect everyone in their family all of the time and so they know that the officials will fold and obey. This has worked for them from one nation to the next, year after year and there's no logical reason for them to change their tactics when it has worked so well in the past.

The wall will only keep those fleeing this out, not those in the criminal organizations,,they will enter legally and live in mansions. And eventually you will realize that those who are involved in this are those that were forced to participate(unwilling) and that the ones who were trying to become a part of it stood out to them as as potential trouble because you see no one wants to,,,they do because they have no choice.

This is fundamentally true, but it ignores how the cartels do work via illegal border crossings. I lived by the US Mexican border for a spell- those looking to hop the fence are not just the hapless poor and oppressed. There were days I couldn't go on a simple hike because cartel "soldiers" were occupying the hilltops nearby.

They will insert themselves and bug out when they sense it is profitable to do so. Woe betide you if you happen to be in their way.

A wall would most certainly stop these incursions. It would also prevent US and Mexican military/police from tramping across the border.
