Once saved allways saved teaches a christian can never become possessed.
I believe other wise so lets look at the facts.

Now please dont be insulted by this lets look at the facts and vote when the forum comes to an end
Lets not make this personal where we start insulting each other. and lets pray we remain forgiving here towards each other for our difference in opinions. lets remember there is still time to recieve the spirit when we feal like people are suggesting other wise or where not saved. (the thief on the cross)
Lets not also go into works based salvation argument either. i am here to learn also.
How ever works are are a requirement and we should respect that fact.

For those of you that may want to condem me just beaware ive had 30 years of condemnation and im ok with any scripture you post to try to condem me with. also be aware that when you use scripture to condem somone you may be getting denomic oppression from the outside.
this is where one should take there thoughts captive.
Please also be aware that i love all scripture and i dont feal condemed by any scripture, but i do get convicted.

I believe the power of the holy spirit can set a demon possessed person free from a living person. but as you know in scripture it warns us they can come back.
As you know this scripture Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,... 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

as you know the above is a process. so say i say this thrase whilst i am addicted to ciggeretes or medication or drugs can i still not be saved or i will be completely saved one day is more the point.

Jesus saved people when he rid people of a demon, but did they still needed a saviour for the rest of there life as he told them they can come back. and isnt this the same as the process of growing in the lord and allways needing a saviour whilst your saved. is the danger here we forget we still need a saviour when where saved especially from demons.

Does it mean you lose the holy spirit if you get reposessed by a demon or you havent been been saved in the first place. im not so sure on that. i think this is a real problem
for people who suffer denomic oppression or denomic possesion.
My experince is denomic oppression for the unknowing person can do just as much harm as denomic possession to an individual. so why claim one is the lesser of the two evils. Both can make a person fall from grace on any given day. some christians believe that denomic possesion is more of an issue than denomic oppression. that denomic oppresion is no big deal.

Are children befor the age of accountabilty which is known to be the age of ten protected ? because they dont know how to study the word. I would like to think they are based on this scripture. Matthew 18:10 See that you do not look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of My Father in heaven. "See that you do not despise one of these little ones.

But many times myself as a child befor the age of ten i was attacked by demons and possessed by them and almost killed by them. even as little as 4 years old 4 5 6 7 8 9 10.

at 7 and 9 i suffered brain damage to

many many times i have seen them and they have been pulled from my body. many times first thing of a morning when ive just woke up ive felt one moving around in side my body. then it gets pulled from me. many times i have had the power of the holy spirit flow through me into a close friend who i see a lot and witnessed a demon be pulled from them as i have laid hands on them.
I wonder if its because when i smoked the holy spirit can not dwell as well in my body because smoking is known to be an addiction that defiles your own body. and then there is scripture that points towards the the holy spirit can not dwell in a house that is unclean. But we still need hope God wont give up on us in this occasion just as much as once saved allways saved needs hope they will allways need a saviour.

I see that christians believe in once saved allways saved, but should that include not being reposessed. Im not so sure that it should. because of the power a demon posseses. and the destruction a demon can do to a person just by denomic oppression alone.

Once saved allways saved has the belief you can never lose the spirit. and you will allways be holy spirit filled. which i agree upon. but what happens if you get extremly drunk on booze or become addicted to drugs or develop a chemical inbalance in the brain. or develop brain damage or become mentaly retarded like develop Alzheimer's
Do some once saved always saved believers become more holier than thow and become to self rightouse for there own good and forget those who are weakin faith and body.
Do they even know a person can be driven mad by denomic oppression.

who would say a saved person could become repossesed then, i think not many people.
But Jesus does say so. it is written Jesus saved many people from a demon and warned them, they could come back.

I also read that medication for mental illness that can occur to anyone of us can dope you up to the point where you may as well have a drug addiction.

And im not saying that reposession of an evil spirit means loss of salvation. but i feal some people may. Or some people believe you where never saved in the first place.

I dont agree with any of this.

The signs of being possessed that other people have comfirmed to me are true. Your body sudenly becoming light in weight as you feal a demon leave your body. Its happened to me more than like twenty times or more. and ive seen it as it left. sometimes i see a demon in mist form other times in there true aperance and other times mimicking a living person

Shivers up your spine means a demon is near to or trying to take up possesion.

I have seen them take up the aperance of people and change apearance befor my very eyes i have seen them twisting childrens thoughts and aldults and speaking in childrens ears who i would like to feal are protected. I have seen them when no one else in the room has.
in this occasion it denomic oppression i witness but still it was harful enough to make a person take there own life. what was being said to children was encouraging them to put them selves in danger.

Remember in the bible A demon (satan) tryed to get jesus the throw him self of a cliff.
So why feal demonic oppression is less than denomic possession.
Well its because christians feal there must be something wrong with them if they get possessed.
But what they dont realise is denomic oppression is just as severe as denomic possesion.

There is so much i could tell you. i herd that a chemical inbalance from any mental illness can cause a person to become reposessed.

That could be a possible 3 billion people being possesed in the world.

I think the real problem here in our christian beliefs is a christian who becomes possessed was never a christian in the first place, or a christian can never be possessed is a major problem, one that i can never agree upon.
Or a christian who becomes possessed was never saved in the first place is absolutey crazy to me.
Because as you know once you become saved you remain saved whilst the holy spirit cleanses you from sin every time you sin.

Once saved allways saved also believes that you will still sin but remain saved.
So isnt that the same as you can be saved but still become possessed.

Isnt being possessed looked upon as not being the persons fault by Jesus who freed many people from Demons.

In the bible it says that all the precious stones of jasper and emerald and topaz adorned lucifer befor he fell. there the same 12 stones that where given to the 12 sons of jacob. so i kinda got to thinking that theese stones and colours where special stones from God. and after just staring into theese colours on the internet and praying i began to cast away a demon especialy amythiest and blue sapphire and sardia and jasper and carbuncle but more blue sapphire.
I suspect that theese stones no longer adorned lucifer, who was once a leading guardian cherub who fell,, and i suspect theese stones through the power of the holy spirit and Jesus can be used by us to cast out demons and grow our belief and hope as we pray to Jesus, and being enelightened by theese colours.

In the bible as you know theese stones where on the breastplate of the priests and known to light up when they pray.ed theyve worked for me hundreds of times and i do mean hundreds.

They helped me to grow belief to for me. and its the power of belief we need to cast out demons.

I must stress tho it is only praying to Jesus that theese stones work for me.
People believe that when you look into theese colours and pray it opens doors. I believe it increases the power of hope and belief as theese colours enlighten you as you gaze in to them and pray to Jesus at the same time. The joy of the lord is our strenght. and i certainly feal theese stones are a joy of the lord, as it is written theese stones adorned the angels. I bought a blue sapphire thats resembles agate one of the precious stones in heaven. every time the light shines on it the colours that come out of it our amazing. I gaze everyday now.

I once had a dream i was taken to heaven where i met God whos eyes where shining in a beautiful blue sapphire. a light came into me that changed colour to silver zeblon and blue sapphire. ever since then i have been performing spiritual exorcism..
I feal ihave been given a gift.

This is a long read, you have posted,
but I will let you know You have some misunderstanding of OSAS as I am not a person of that prospective fully, yet I am not one who believes in the complete sufficiency or salvation one can walk away. We are not possessed by the Holy Spirit He is welcomed into the believer by grace through faith unto salvation, not of works.
Jesus doesn't play games nor calls darkness to be where Jesus is they do not share locations. The person who has been delivered is set free to make a choice to accept Christ or reject him. If one who is possessed rejects Christ yet they can and most often return because 1. you rejected christ 2. your now becoming like one whose mind has been seared and the Holy Spirit call to you becomes deafening and you are turned over to a reprobate.
Yet does that mean they can't be saved? no. as long as one is still alive there is HOPE! How so?
Because of those who are in prayer for them. Those types are the 1 of the 99 we are never to give up on them until they are dead. Then we leave them unto the Lord.
Demons are very deceptive and very religious and knowledgeable of the history of people and time and the word of God.
in the 90's many deliverance and generational curse, teaching came to the forefront again with buffoons like Bob Larson and many others. These false demonologists go around having little forms of deliverance services to fleece the flock and most of the time they bring a person who believes they are demon-possessed yet after being delivered 1000 times already they have come back.
the demon's name is billybelsibud, she wants to be free but this demon is just too strong for ole Bob Larson. Well, the devil is a liar.
WHO the SON has set free is FREE absolutely. A person who has surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ DON"T have a demon in them.
does that mean you will not be tempted? No, but with every temptation, GOD provides a way to escape.

I do not believe the new Spiritual birth is a process. Rather an event.
AFTER you are saved, the Holy Spirit will work in you and sanctity you to conform you to the Image of Christ.

Every person that comes to Jesus and is born again, was addicted and a slave to sin.

As to your question, I believe a Born again child of God cannot be demon possessed. But he could be demon OPPRESSED.

Once saved always saved [OSAS] also believes that you will still sin but remain saved.
So isnt that the same as you can be saved but still become possessed.
There are different models and concepts of OSAS and therefore different proponents might believe differently.

Consider this OSAS model:

1) We are saved by grace, not works
2) Christ in our hearts leads to spiritual fruit (works)
3) Everyone enters a purification process where only the part of you that were in Christ remain
4) If you have any good works (any moment of Christ in your heart) that part of you is saved (Once saved, always saved).
5) Everything else is burned away. A person that was only good in youth will only exist as that youth after purification.
6) There is a reward (Crown of Victory) for continuously being in Christ.
7) It is our objective to follow the NT covenant as best as we can to attain the reward (but so long as we were ever in Christ, some part of us is saved).

This means that yes a person could be possessed (if they are not then in Christ). Christian basically means "those that endeavour to be in Christ" but may fail to truly be in Christ from time to time.

stumbling and failing is due to having a demon in you. it is easy to blame a devil for your willful disobedience and sin. That is lie from the pit of hell.

  1. I cheat my wife because I have a devil of cheating
  2. I steal because I have a demon in me that makes me still
  3. The devil made me do it.

Well, you can believe that lie all the way to hell with that demon. Christ came to set the captive free those fake lying demon hunters are mocking the power of God what can stand against GOD? NOTHING! but doubt and unbelief.

NO devil can stay where Jesus is, they got to go. After that, you have the choice to make freely, to accept Jesus, or reject HIM. The Holy Spirit has enabled you to answer the call you will or you will not.

That is a good point. What does it mean to be demon-possessed in the bible?

"As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel." - Matthew 9:32-33

"And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself." - Luke 13:11 KJV

We see that a demon-possession doesn't always mean "a demon takes over everything you do", sometimes it is manifested as a disability such as dumbness (inability to speak) or infirmity. These types of possessions aren't necessarily a sign of weakness in faith, but can be tests by God for whatever intended purpose (I think of Job). In this case, I take back what I said earlier. A person could be in Christ and still have some affliction.

There is a pre-crucifixion example of Peter being possessed by Satan. Possession doesn't always look like someone foaming at the mouth, their eyes turning black, and their voice changing. In fact, that probably isn't typical of reality; that's more Hollywood.

What's the point of the devil himself revealing his hand to you if there is more advantage with covertly deceiving you for as many years as possible?

Those kind of tricks do not work on Jesus. Jesus responds to Peter by addressing the literal entity of Satan who was causing Peter to say what he did in the most seemingly natural of ways.

Matthew 26:22-23
22Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Bottom line: if someone is demon possessed they may not even realize it.

I was brought to Christ at a very young age, and by the time I was High School, I found myself in so much trouble a judge gave me 2 options (jail or military). For many years I lived like the devil's best friend. But the weird thing is, when I look back at those times, whether I was drunk stupid or stoned retarded. I remember, right before falling asleep, a mental reminder to ask God for forgiveness before I passed out and woke to a new morning. And I would get up the next day and do the same sins again and before passing out get a reminder to ask God for forgiveness.

It took me awhile to understand the concept here but when it did the light bulb shone very bright.

Even though I was living in sin, the same Holy Spirit that filled me when I accepted Christ was the same Holy spirit every night speaking to my mind to ask for forgiveness.

God never left me even though I was doing my best to leave Him.

Does that mean I was OSAS?
I believe it means, God's Holy Word is true. He never left me. He rode out the bad times but kept reminding me to ask Him for forgiveness because my sins were great. And eventually, He changed my lifestyle. I don't even know how to begin explaining how assuring that is to me. But it has emboldened me to a point that every day I awake now, I believe all of spirits representing God enemies are like [oh no, that man of God is awake again and we're about to suffer losses to our kingdom because he utilizes the Faith that God gave to him like very few Believers do].

There's 2 different Ananias mentioned in the Book of Acts. One a man of God and the other whose wife's name was Sapphira. Nowhere does it claim the man married to Sapphira was ever saved or a man of God.

I have found great satisfaction, even joy, in any helth problem that has arisen in my late years. Now, this is easy for me to say for I do not have terrible pain nor dibilitating symptoms but eahc time something comes u that others would say is terrible, I thank the Lord, and He shows me the good of it. Each health problem is a step up Jacob's Ladder, and I feel I get nearer, and nearer my true home. PS..I am not in a hurry, but at the same time, it is wonderful. Praise our Blessed FAther Who knows us better than do we ourselves, amen.

it's the wording in many translations that people are mistaken about. the word 'possession' in the way it is used in English, has people believing demons possess people when in fact, it is the other way around. the person has, or possesses, the demon. there are cases where it seems the demons have complete control, like the Gadarene demoniac.

anyway, I agree with what you state. just wanted to try to clarify the 'demon possession' thing that I see again and again and it throws people off a proper understanding (referring to the op, not you personally)

I am a fatalist and completely at the mercy of God. I studied a lot of classical literature in high school and college and learned about "fatalism."

People think fatalism is a bad thing. It's not. It simply means being resigned to the truth that a higher being or force is in control and that we are not.

Therefore, as God foreknew his people and prepared them and made provision for them, there is no way they can affect His Will (with their own supposed free will) by any works or deeds or thoughts of their carnal minds.

Free will is a carnal doctrine by those who do not yet accept the complete sovereignty of God our Father.

If you were given to Jesus by the Father, that was decided before you even existed and there is nothing you can do to change or jeopardize it. So why not rejoice and give thanks to the merciful Father instead of debating whether you might lose your salvation? That is carnal and vanity.

That's true, but it seems like it is inferred that Ananias and Sapphira were active members of the church. If they were not believers then I don't know how they could have possibly lied to the Holy Spirit because they wouldn't have God's Spirit in them.

It's also curious why they sold their property to live with the church if they weren't committed to their communal lifestyle.

The evidence, in my opinion, leans strongly in favor that Ananias and Sapphira were sincere in their convictions and believed in Christ.

Very well could be. It's odd they're not mentioned as Believers but Peter is quick to make his claim towards Ananias and then not much later Sapphira is dead herself. If they were saved, that's a tough way to learn about lying to God.

I believe other wise so lets look at the facts.
What facts? If the Holy Spirit indwells a believer, how can any evil spirit enter?

But evil spirits can and do oppress and attack Christians.

A person who is born again has the HS in them

a domon and Holy Spirit can not enter the same body

since the seal of the spirit is until the day of redemption, it would be importable for a demon to posses a child of God

however, like someone said earlier, they can oppress a believer.

What facts? If the Holy Spirit indwells a believer, how can any evil spirit enter?

But evil spirits can and do oppress and attack Christians.
There was plenty of facts you could have spotted in my post number 1 but here is some more which you cant ignor.

Those who were possessed by demons in Scripture showed certain symptoms. They include the following:

Cannot Control Themselves
A person who is under the control of a demon cannot control themselves. The evil spirit is able to speak through their lips or can make them mute as it so desires. Scripture gives examples of demon-possessed people who were mute.
And when the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke: and the multitudes marveled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel (Matthew 9:33).

Then was brought unto Him one possessed with a demon, blind and mute: and He healed him, insomuch that the mute man spoke and saw (Matthew 12:22).

We also find demons speaking through people.
Just then there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, "What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God" (Mark 1:23-24).
New Personality

Demon-possession means that a new personality is introduced to that person - the victim becomes a different person. The Gadarene demoniac acted and spoke as one who was controlled by another personality
Suddenly they shouted, "What have you to do with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?" (Matthew 8:29).

Different Voice
Sometimes those who are demon-possessed speak with a different voice. On one occasion, when Jesus asked the name of the demon, the demon spoke through the man and said:

And He asked him, What is your name? And he said unto Him, My name is Legion; for we are many (Mark 5:9).
4. Supernatural Knowledge

In one incident, the demons speaking through a man, immediately recognized Jesus as the Messiah.
Just then there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, "What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God" (Mark 1:23-24).

This understanding of Jesus' identity came from supernatural knowledge. For at this time, Jesus had not yet revealed Himself to His disciples, or to the world, as the promised Messiah.

New Abilities
A person who is demon-possessed acquires new abilities. For example, those possessed by demons can demonstrate superhuman strength. The Bible speaks of one demoniac in the following way.
He had often been restrained with shackles and chains, but the chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles he broke in pieces; and no one had the strength to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always howling and bruising himself with stones (Mark 5:4,5).

Suicidal Tendencies
Demon possession can lead to suicidal tendencies. The Bible says of one person who was demon-possessed.
It has often cast him into the fire and into the water, to destroy him; but if you are able to do anything, have pity on us and help us (Mark 9:22).

It seems that demons want to physically destroy the person they possess.

The New Testament tells us some of the signs of demon possession The demons are able to speak through their victims, they can demonstrate new abilities, show different personalities, and exhibit suicidal tendencies. The main thing to understand is that demon-possessed people are controlled by this demonic presence. Though the symptoms may look like mere psychological dysfunction, in actuality, the problem is demon-possession.

Billions of people diognosed with psychological dysfunction,

the word of God sayes

Give no place to the devil. Eph 4:27-30

27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

YOU were sealed not seared!!!!!
