Hi guys coming in hot. been a long while. I am a Yeshua First Believer, looking for scriptural conversation in short bursts.
Give you all a quick rundown:

- i've read galations. i'm on board for sure.
-i've read hebrews8'7-13 (lol though i prefer jer31'31-34) I'm on board for sure.
-i've loved Christ. for 6 years now. i'm on board. For Certain.

anyway scripture swap? something you loved or affected you strongly, and what you get from it spiritually?
seems people on here have some strong opinions on Jews and the "Law", so perhaps some assumptions will wilt.
maybe we all can leave some negative conventions to the side.

Has anyone ever shown you Colossians 2:9-15? The Spiritual Circumcision of Christ is the absolute Core of the entire Bible. It points us to the Tree of Life in Genesis 3:22-24, and it points to Abraham, our Father of Faith to both those of the circumcised group and those who are Gentile. Genesis chapter 17 points to this promise of Spiritual Circumcision of Christ.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 is a fore-picture of Colossians 2:9-15 (or we could say that Colossians 2:9-15 is the fulfillment of Ezekiel 36: Here they both are, clearly written in the NLT translation, but read these verses from as many translations as possible. Ezekiel 36:25-27 NLT - 25 "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

In the Colossians 2:9-15 verses below, notice that verse 10 states that we are whole and complete in Christ. Verses 11-15 tell us how and why this is the case. It is amazing.

Colossians 2:9-15 NLT - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. 11 When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."

A Jewish Christian is a brother in Christ. Paul himself was a Jewish Christian. The only disrespect I have seen towards Jewish Christians was from Orthodox Jews.

"Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all." - Colossians 3:11 KJV

An antichrist Jew is our enemy concerning the gospel. Love thy enemy. But, this is not to say that an antichrist Jew should not be rebuked. I completely agree that the hate that some Orthodox Jews cast on Christian Jews should be called out for what it is. Fight evil with good.

"Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." - Romans 12:21 KJV

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" - Matthew 5:43-44 KJV

"As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance." - Romans 11:28 KJV

Not all that call themselves Jews are Jews:

"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." - Revelation 2:9 KJV

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. that part in col2 gets REAL good at 20 right on through to col3'1-3. the whole point is that once we are clean, don't look at the cleanliness. we are to look at the cleaner. that can be hard for us as believers. i don't actually think anyone deserves respect, but i'm grateful you took the time out to swap with me. did you know there's a scripture where Yahh states directly in a Law that he will never be angry with us?

I disagree with your last point, as that scripture doesn't have to mean the men calling themselves jews are not in fact jewish or don't follow Yahh. that scripture easily and more likely means DESPITE calling themselves jews, they are still in the control of the adversary of adam. Christ said get behind me satan to a man who was certainly still a follower. sucks that we try our best and let our flesh get in the way so often. we can't escape it, but i'm grateful that we aren't named for it.

in my sight, othodox jews are annoyed by us, but christians are usually openly condescending, are woefully misinformed for what we believe. it ends with them vilifying "jews" in the book. that much is so sad i think. and sure Sha'ul was a High Pharisee under only Gamaliel, but i think most importantly, Christ was.

i can handle a discussion or any other really no matter the level of controversy while keeping christ first if you like. if not how about a scripture swap. did you know there's a place in psalms where Yahh says even if we are terrible and rebel against him, there would be consequences, but he would not blank blank blank us?

The BDF is notorious for the negativity you're referring to. And not just on the topic of the Law, but on a variety of topics. They typically rehash the same subjects, over and over.
Many people have quit the site over it.
I'm an 8 year member and it is been this way non-stop. Multiple times people have tried to improve things here. They give up after a short time. It's like standing in front of a runaway train. You won't slow it down, it'll just flatten you.

i read the hyper grace post, and put 2 and 2 together, but i know thats but a small few. i've been in the chat for 2 years never in the forum. i'm not trying to slow it down at all actually. i just want to build a bridge. make conversations instead of preaching sessions. i also want to build a place where people ask questions instead of look for openings to make assertions.
i understand what its like to have something i believe in so much and not enough avenue to speak on it. so i certainly fall in line with the sharing viewpoint before asking questions habit. maybe someone will get a glimpse of the perspective i have on scripture, and it will be interesting. build a bridge.

How blessed you are to be one of God.s chosen people and on top of that you recognize Christ as the Messiah! I am reading the fiction that Chaim Potok wrote, it shows the thinking of the Jews who believe the Messiah is yet to come. He speaks of God the Father as a Savior. I am so impressed with how deep his understanding is of God, I want to somehow get through to him that God gave the blood of Christ on the altar as it says in Leviticus as soon as Adam and Eve brought death to us through sin. All forgiveness told of in scripture was through Christ, even though it took over 4,000 years before Christ in the flesh was crucified.

God is a merciful, loving God. That is who God is. It makes me feel like climbing the ladder that Jacob saw and do my best to talk God into accepting the forgiveness Jews ask for to be sure they live forever. After all, it was God who blinded their eyes.

But back to your posts: You say we are not to look at our cleanliness but look at the cleaner. I see your point, but I glory in the cleanliness that Christ's forgiveness gives me. I look at all I am and have done and what Christ made of this person and it is ----words fail me.

couple of things on that. i can see your fruit. i'm grateful to get to share your space and speak with you openly and respectfully.
that said, it's always so strange how you can say such beautiful things about a group of people, and simultaneously patronize them in such a way. like saying that you're impressed with him. odd. john 6 no man can come to Yahh unless christ leads them. idk it's so jarring how pitying your words come across. Yahh is just and will do what is right.
as for glorying in cleanliness, i'm so glad you have that ability. i only say not to look because it's harder. rom7 shows us that with the presence of clean spirit, comes the eventual face to face with our physical bonds. Christ did something impossible for us.

Christians do not understand Spiritual Circumcision . . . only the Holy Remnant has been Enabled to understand these things, including the Holy Veil of Moses and what it represents (again, the Circumcision of Christ). Whew . . . there is so much work to be done with "christians."

Were you aware that today's brand of "christianity" is a direct reflection of the Sadducees, Pharisees, and teachers of the Law? Scary . . . very scary.

Wow, do I ever wish I could have face to face conversation with you . . . the things that you could teach would be incredible. I used to live on Mercer Island, the largest Jewish community in Washington State. I loved the relationships that I had developed with the Rabbis who lived there with me.

i think there's certainly a contingent, but about 70 percent of christians don't read our book. i think today is the church age of laodicia. lukewarmish on average, but SOOOO much LOVE. so .... phil1'15-18??? lol

How wonderful to share God with someone who loves Him.

I am so impressed with the mind that the Lord gave us, it can be used in such a multitude of ways. There is even a conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The scripture that I so love is how to use the mind for good.

Phil. 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

This tells me of the blessings David speaks of when we are told to meditate on the word. As I study Christian meditation, it tells of quietly filling the mind so full of the word that no other thoughts can get in.

Thanks for asking. The two sets of Ephesians texts blew me away. When I read the NLT translation and saw that the translators were quoting Paul as saying, "The Mysterious Plan," that was it. My former and blessed wife used to say that I thought like a lawyer, meaning that I loved the details of conversation (and relationships), and this is True, for when I read of the Mysterious Plan, I knew that I had to do something about that text. I was honest with myself, admitting that I had not a clue of the Plan of God. Oh sure . . . John 3:16 sounds like the Plan of God, but it is only but one part of it. I needed to know, exactly, what that Plan was, so after some time I realized that I'd have to read the entire Bible for the very first time . . . I was probably 49 or 50 years old at the time. I figured out that I needed to read the Bible in a timeline, chronological order if I was going to understand the Holy Word.

So that's what I did. I not only began reading the entire Bible, but I began to highlight each and every Word. I needed to understand every phrase and idea before I moved onward to the next. I was shocked when I realized that the Tree of Life as mentioned in Gen 3:22-24, was a pre-image of the Circumcision of Christ. "Eat from the Tree of Life and they would have lived forever!" Colossians 2:9-15 is the fulfillment of Genesis 3:22-24. More and more, I began to see how the Bible was relating to the Day of Christ on the cross, and that what He was actually doing was His Holy Work. I kept running into amazing verses like Deut 30:6:

Deuteronomy 30:6 KJV - "And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live."

Slowly but surely, I began to see how the New Testament was Truly the fulfillment of the Old Testament. And more, that Colossians 2:9-15 are the most Perfect Seven verses in the entire Bible. I scoured that Holy Work looking for the most incredible ideas and concepts . . . and no doubt, without any question at all, nothing is more important than Colossians 2:9-15. In fact, Ezekiel 36:25-27 is the pre-image of Colossians 2:9-15.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 KJV - "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them."

The above is the predicted Circumcision of Christ as depicted in Colossians 2:9-15. What I found to be particularly incredible, is that Christ has been Circumcising Hearts since Abel, for Abel was the first True Prophet, and no True, Holy Prophet of God can remain under the Adamic Curse. Impossible.

Luke 11:50-51 NLT - "As a result, this generation will be held responsible for the murder of all God's prophets from the creation of the world-- 51 from the murder of Abel to the murder of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, it will certainly be charged against this generation."

Lifting the Adamic Curse is something that Jesus has been doing from the beginning, but this is completely independent of Christ dying for the penalty of sin, and the removal of the Sin Nature is independent of receiving the Gift of the Holy Spirit, and it is independent of Christ granting the ability to Turn and Repent.

Good sir, I could go on and on and on and on. But I will not! :D

Phil. 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

This tells me of the blessings David speaks of when we are told to meditate on the word. As I study Christian meditation, it tells of quietly filling the mind so full of the word that no other thoughts can get in.
