Lord, on this Independence Day weekend in the U S, as people are shooting off fireworks, I pray for peace for the veterans who have been in war and help them not to have flashbacks and give them strength to make it through this weekend. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

My 2nd husband who got saved at the last minute, was in the Seabees. We live on a busy highway and whenever there was a backfire, anywhere, he would duck. I could sense the deep memories of an horrific experience and the effect it had on him. He is laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery. Amen to your rightful concerns for our Vets and thank you for your service, may God give you that peace that surpasses all understanding as well.
