It's a spiritual problem, I hope they indeed do have something that is a valid help.

That is a step in the public conditioning process. The pope already made his view known. In my interpretation of what he said...they are welcome into the rcc.... the way God made them. That is pure politics...God did not make them that way.
And how do you know this?

Are you gay yourself?

Scripture says nothing on the subject beyond specifically banning the sexual act itself.

Seems I read once that the RCC had classes or some such treatment to help them leave their gayness behind. That was a few years ago. Dont know if its still a thing.
There have been multiple Christian ministries come and go that claim to 'cure' homosexuality. A big one in the 1990's was called Exodus ministries. My family contacted them and tried to get me to join.

Turned out they were nothing more than a dangerous cult and every single testimony I read in their fancy brochure went something among the lines of 'I'm married now, praise God, but I still struggle with my temptation toward men'.

Luckily I did research and spoke to my counselor about it, she showed me a Government report on this groups activity. The suicide rate was insanely high, as was the dropout rate. Basically a number of fake families were formed, women were deceived into marrying men who were still gay and cheating behind their backs and the whole thing ended up making lives worse, not better.

Yes, biblically speaking homosexuality is plain wrong. No, conversion therapy doesn't work.

no program works for the unrepentant.
Judas received the same anointing, guidance and blessing as the others, he chose his actions.

Agreed. God did not make homosexuals homosexual...perversion did.

It also doesn't help when the leaders of said program decide 'screw this' and fall in love with another man and close the operation down because they realise what frauds they are.

These 'programmes' were never anointed by God.

But go ahead and victim blame on all those who went there with genuine hearts wanting to change. It's your favourite fallback.

Seems consistant with other churches taking a stand against unrepented sin.

Correct...the reason we true Christians...not like luke warm ones...must resist church leadership when outside of Gods word.

The Bible says...in the end times there will be great delusions. They are here.

In doing so they give place and identity to a perversion of the created order.

It begins, and ends with one’s thought life, their thinking. Jesus made clear that the heart (mind) was our problem- sins are just the outward expression of our perverted thinking.

I like what Dr. Caroline Leaf teaches- "Most people don't think about what they think about".
Proverbs 23-7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

Just going to chime in here as the same point keep being brought up...

Nobody is suggesting that homosexuality is not defined as sin in the Bible. Even the homosexual gentleman on this thread acknowledged this.

The issue is how we deal with members of the Church who are homosexual. My suggestion is that we show them love rather than passive aggression, spiritual abuse or manipulation.
We should not pretend that homosexuality is any worse than any other sin, as some people seem to do.

Berean Study Bible
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

There is a push, at least in the U.S. to normalize perversion. Forcing places of worship to be accepting would be a big win for the evil one. They have infiltrated about every aspect of our lives. Gay couples on TV commercials. Teaching grade school children its normal. Nevada has a tranny as "miss" Nevada. Boys with a tuck playing girls sports. In one aspect, true bible based churches, are the last line of defence in this world gone mad.

On this point, I agree. Yes, this priest is Catholic in the video but he makes a great point about schools trying to normalise it.

I don't think this is the way forward either. Sexuality is an adult matter and everyone should be taught the morality of the Bible before anything else.

I just want you to know that I do have a plan, guided by the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 19:10-12
The disciples *said to Him, “If the relationship of the man with his wife is like this, it is better not to marry.” But He said to them, “Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to accept this, let him accept it.”

You'll see Jesus openly says he's speaking in riddles here. One thing that is buried because Christianity is so homophobic is that the word Eunuch in Jesus' day grew to encompass both the castrated type everyone knows, but also uncastrated effeminate men who were unmarried and had no relations with women.

You'll see Jesus offers this second type a plan. Chastity for the sake of God's kingdom.

Isaiah 56 3-5
Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say,
“The Lord will surely separate me from His people.”
Nor let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.”
For thus says the Lord,
“To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths,
And choose what pleases Me,
And hold fast My covenant,
To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial,
And a name better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off.

You'll also see that faithful Eunuchs are guaranteed salvation if they honour the rest of God's law.

Gay people who want to be Christian are called to become Eunuchs for Christ. And I've been given this scripture to show you all.
