But this was in the context of a holy month. In that same chapter you quoted, it advocates for a Saturday or seventh day Sabbath.

"For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings." Leviticus 23:3

And as I have mentioned, many verses support this claim. Jewish people today still observe the Sabbath (they refer to it as Shabbat)
Saturday has nothing to do with seventh day, how do you not get that? You have not provided any Biblical proof at all. The Jewish calendar was based on the Moon, you are taking a day that has nothing to do with the lunar cycle.

For example, Passover is on the 14th of Nisan, look on the calendar and you will always see that Passover will show up on a full moon. Now Passover is a sabbath day, the NT refers to it as the Passover sabbath. Yet check your calendar it only shows up on Saturday occasionally. Saturday has nothing to do with the Sabbath day.

I'm not condemning anyone for not keeping the Sabbath. I am only informing them on what the Bible itself is saying.
Then inform them on when the Sabbath is. How is anyone supposed to keep it holy if they don't know when it is?

Then what about the fourth commandment?
For who, the Jews or the Christians? There are two covenants an Old Covenant and New Covenant. Our covenant is based on the Lord's crucifixion which is why we keep the Lord's day and according to our covenant the Lord's day is "whatever day".

If you are abiding by the Old Covenant you have a serious problem. When the Jews rejected Jesus the veil to the Holy of Holies was rent, the temple was destroyed, and they were scattered to the four winds. Without the temple there are no offerings, no worship according to the law.

I believe that it is on the seventh day which is Saturday. If you don't, that's up to you. God bless and lots of love.

So you don't think that the ten commandments are binding anymore?

The covenant was made with Abraham, the law that was given 430 years later cannot annul the covenant that was already made. We live by faith. The law was fulfilled by Jesus, if I am in Jesus I am in the fulfillment of the law, if I am not in Jesus then you need to hang on a tree, sorry.

Nope. Like I said, I'm just telling you what's in the Bible. I made sure to give plenty of Biblical quotations so that it didn't seem like I was just saying the first thing that popped up in my head. But I can't force you to believe anything and I'm not trying to, I just want to inform. Love and peace to you, God bless.

If this doesn’t make your blood boil in all this fascism , very little else will:

Covid Police. Saw that coming. Wait for it: coming to a country in which you're living. Soon thereafter, they'll be showboating their pretty new uniforms, brown shirts, jodhpurs, and leather jackboots. I wonder what their armband will look like.

Yes, you did. And you also showed me what is not in the Bible. Saturday is not in the Bible. The sabbath referring to the seventh day is. The first day is the new moon. The 14th day is the full moon and is also a sabbath day. Got it.

Exactly. The Sabbath is also one of those commandments so I intend to keep it. God bless.
Are you planning to start next week because today was the Sabbath and I don't know if posting on the internet is permitted on the Sabbath.

hey thanks -- weird to find this here in this thread, for sure, but i have been asking people on this forum for years whether they can give any insight about whether 'saturday' is the sabbath at all, or if the 7th day ought to be counted from the new moon, seeing that the whole religious calendar is based on the moon, one of the two lights God specifically set in the sky as timepieces for determining days, and months, and years. my questions on the topic have been summarily ignored ever since i started asking them!

it's refreshing to finally hear from someone who holds the 'lunar sabbath' position :)

It is true that Saturday is not in the Bible, but that is what I interpret the seventh day as. You can forget that part if you want and just look at the part where it says the seventh day if you want to be strictly biblical, in fact I encourage it so you don't think that I'm adding things that aren't in the Bible.

The bible also states clearly that there are 6 days between each Sabbath, so the lunar calendar that you're referring to contradicts the Bible.

"8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.
11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy."
