Oh I'm not. But, does not the book of Proverbs tell us that there is sound direction in the counsel of many?
The counsel of many believers. That does not include talking heads on television or social media who are fed what they say. Are we seriously debating this? The media is just another arm of government.. that government who lies to you and wants to control and monitor your every move.. and if this scamdemic all pans out how they hope it will.. well then, you belong to the beast outright if you comply.

Then the government is schizophrenic, because Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon present entirely different narratives.

It's all part of the game, friend. I hope you enjoy wasting your time, your brain and your common sense. Ciao.

Sooo... a man who's life and family have been threatened by the Left is... part of 'the game'. I'd love to see your evidence. May I? And, please don't say 'common sense'. To say that suggests your reasoning is perfect, which puts you in some dangerous territory. You may say God tells you this, and that I cannot dispute, but I know no Christian on earth who hears God perfectly.

Yes, all part of the game. All part of the same. When you find yourself defending the "media", it might be time to step back and evaluate what and whom you believe and why.

I do. All the time.

You might wish to step back and evaluate why you push back on anyone who has the title of 'journalist' with no rationale other than 'common sense'. This common sense has yet to be backed up with anything factual.

I don't watch any news at all, so I frankly couldn't care less. Imagine a world where you completely disconnect from all social media and watch and read NO "news" at all. Would you feel lost?

Are we going to say some agenda keeper is causing the next pestilence, earthquake, fire, tsunami ECT.?
The bible plainly states these shall come more in the last days.
I still believe nothing shall harm us unless it is God's will.
It is sad to see so may claiming to be believers that are fear mongers in their own agenda!

In life there always needs to be balance. But, this goes both ways, neglecting neither rest from nor engagement with this fallen world.

Many, sadly, cannot see the difference between “The sky is falling” and “The sky will fall.”

Balance? Says who, the world or the Word?

Yes. Sad that those who cannot see that the sky is falling refuse to look up!

It is the solution to the falling sky (Jesus) that should be the focus, its been falling for quite some time.

I'm not sure about this. I skimmed through the article and got the points that the vaccinated are experiencing higher rates of infection. But, here in the US, the spikes in infection rates are in the unvaccinated camp, to the tune of about 97% of all new cases. That is an argument for the vaccine.

Now, I'm still not getting it, but you can certainly make a case for it.

when you say those who are not vaccinated (and that's a stretch since it is not a vaccine). do you mean the hundreds of illegals who have been proven to have Covid and yet still released into the county? yes, that is certainly a huge problem

you don't have to be sure when hundreds, in fact thousands, of doctors around the globe, are leery of this poison and think it best to refrain from taking it

skimming through something is not very thorough

and by the way, I believe it is Pfizer's shot that is only good for about 45% efficacy after 6 months

boosters....then good for how long? people are just being fooled right and left and center

The Word.

For example, 6 days work, 1 day rest.

Do not be overly righteous, and do not make yourself too wise. Why should you destroy yourself? Do not be excessively wicked, and do not be a fool.

This is not the "balance" you were referring to, however. You were referring to balancing your consumption of the world and your consumption of the Lord.

You said the Scriptures don't talk about balance, and did so because your interpretation of balance was different from mine. You make the false (in my opinion) assumption that consuming news, even from a conservative source, is bad and improper. I say staying misinformed is dangerous, you think it's being Godly. We clearly differ on this. That has been established quite thoroughly I think in this thread, and now I'm tired from having to continue establishing it.

You don't wish to remain informed, and that's your right as an American -- a right that was secured by people, largely Christian, who were politically engaged and who had to inform of the public of their views to gain support for them. But, I digress.

I do wish to remain informed, and because it is no longer liberal POV vs. conservative POV, but now outright Leftist lies from the likes of CNN, the Washington Post, NY Times, and others, I cannot listen to them anymore. I go to sources whom I have at least some reason to trust, and keep up with what's happening through them. Is praying for discernment through all of that a bad idea? I don't think so.

I think that's wise, you think that's worldly. Whatever.

We are here to make disciples, and bless our fellow human as much as possible. This happens through engagement with the world. You cannot do those things if you are disengaged, and it's difficult to know how to engage society at large, and affect the good, if you don't know the issues. Common sense becomes common nonsense if you are misinformed. Then, you cannot engage properly. And, how does that glorify God?

We all will have to answer for what we did, and our good and bad works will be tested by fire. It will be made clear then. In the mean time, our positions have been made clear here repeatedly. It's a waste of time to continually clarify them. My tires are getting bald.

Talk amongst yourselves.

Do you really believe by watching the MSM/SM you are being informed? That is the error in your ways.
