TODAY. NOW. Don't YOU know that?!?
they were completely different countries years back too. Japans ruling power tried to take china. It failed.

You really need to brush up on your history. China's kingdom was separate from the Japanese. Japan is an island nation and has its own rulers, its own kingdom. They have totally different langauges. only in the past it was japanese descendended fom the chinese with common ancestry. Just as Maori descendended from Taiwanese forbears, but the culture is actually now very different and unique.

if you think china is after world domination you just be dreaming. Since when are the Chinese trying to and enslave other nations and rule others. Since when are all other nations paying taxes to china?

Chinese money isnt being used to bribe others unlike the american dollar, the world bank isnt in China, nor is it its largest shareholder.

Just because its the biggest population by size, doesnt actually mean its seeks to dominate the world.

I guess the words "today" and "now" have escaped you. Today, as in the year 2021 AD, China is building islands in international trade routes, attempting to claim the South China Sea as its own. They are crushing protests in Hong Kong, after promising to allow the citizens there their freedom. They persecute Christians and other religious groups, like the Uighurs. No western country is doing any of the above.

You criticize the Brits, as if some British folks represented the entire population, and don't seem to think that's bigotry. You defend China's current international behavior, which is becoming increasingly provocative.

actually Hong Kong originally belonged to China. It went back to China in 1997. It was only leased to the British for 99 years.

You need to understand history, which you clearly dont. sorry.

Amazing... you admit your nation is doing these things and don't condemn or criticize her for it. The British are bad because, in your bigoted mind, they complain too much. But, China denies people their religious freedom, has become imperial in her aims, is crushing freedom in Hong Kong, and your only answer is that I don't know history. It's all okay because it's history. That's a ridiculous answer.

Curious: Are you a christian?

Only someone who has never lived under open persecution would ask this question. Once you've been imprisioned, tortured, or had family members killed just because they were Christians then you can ask this question again if you still need to.

Heck, once you've been fired without cause and the official reason given is because you are of a certain faith and no one seems to have a problem with that, but no one will hire you either because of your faith go ahead and ask that question.

Yep, Lanolin uses moral relativism to justify China's sins, and glosses over the rest (it's not bad or imperial because it's history) to not directly address her crimes. That is not Christian. That is ultimately from the pit of Hell.

have you been fired because of faith
because plenty of people have you know, they have also put their life on the line for others

But if you do Gods works you cant be fired by HIm because He is your Lord. The other thing when you do go through the fiery furnace, God is with you.

There are a lot of afghanis christians seeking refuge right now. Christians need to be praying for them and helping them evacuate.

whatver the circumstance, they have planted an all improtant seed that we dont know will bear fruit but the point is God sent them on a mission and they did what they could.

There are a lot of Christians in Chinese prisons, too. We should pray for them (I do).

Hehehe! Do you have ANY idea who you are talking to? Have you ever seen the posts where cinder talked about her multiple, extended mission trips and various other sojourns abroad?

think its important if you are staying at home right now to make your mission to be salt and light to the people in your own household. Blessed are the peacemakers.

we dont even need to go far to make peace. If you have a broken home its up to you to repair it/make amends.

I take it you missed my post below. And the ignore system is so good in this forum that I wouldn't have even seen your comment if a friend hadn't pointed it out to me.

Ah... so you're just asking questions so you can take issue with the people who respond. Glad we got that cleared up, saves me anymore time trying to have a discussion with you.

Whatvwr people do, God has a mission for them in it. Missions doesnt have to be defined strictly as 'people going overseas or to a foreign country and evangelising'

At the moment, well the past week, God had me go visit those in hospital. Its particular hard round this time of year when people cant be with their families. Nobody wants to spend Christmas holidays in hospital!!

Visiting the sick involves bringing cheer, prayer and comfort to those who need it. Dont underestimate what a visit can do for those who are stuck in hospital, home or jail.
