I'm a car enthusiast, and am wondering if cars will be in heaven. I personally don't believe there will be and that makes me less excited, but I still rather be in heaven (even if I'm not as happy) then here or hell. What do y'all think ?

Well, the streets are going to be made out of gold... so, you're going to need to design a car that's extremely light to avoid excessive wear on said golden streets. Or volunteer to be on the Golden Street Department to do regular maintenance.

There will probably be racetracks to keep things in good order. Perhaps I will see you at one.

I sure hope so....

I was just thinking today, about the new heavens and earth. It's going to be pretty crazy. No sun- which means there's not really a "solar system" either. Some things are almost a turn-off for me. No night? Daytime all the time sounds pretty horrible to me. I'm a twilight kind of person (no, not the movie- don't even.)
Not needing sleep will be nice though... I won't miss the feeling of sleep deprivation. I do wonder if "working out" will be a thing... will our new bodies even get tired??? Because I do kind of like the feeling of working/working out and getting tired from that. Some things in this life are somewhat rewarding, but will no longer be.
The bible doesn't say much about the next life, but what it does say isn't actually all that appealing to me, except for Jesus being there.
I am just trusting God that it will somehow be to my liking to be there.
We live in a fallen world that is grossly mismanaged and the Lord still manages to provide nice things for us- so there has to be better things in the world to come.

That's exactly how i feel. Like no more marriage ? What's the point of getting married then ? only to lose your wife in heaven. People like to say (referring to husbands and wives) " we will meet each other in heaven" but really you won't be married in heaven anymore. And i agree about the lack of sun and night. I personally love sunsets and sunrises, but for God to take them away seems unreasonable. And no sea ? i like beach houses and driving up the coast in my convertible, but once again God has denied us the right to do that in the future. I don't care for gold streets or mansions with diamonds and gold in them, i just want a decent house with my 5-10 cars and a beautiful wife that will love me. But in heaven that's seeming like more of a dream rather then reality.

Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create...

Gods glory is the Light in heaven , so bright that we will not need sun nor moon :giggle:
God has things planned for us that we have no idea what they are , but they will be better than anything we could ever imagine...

Set your minds on things above , and not on things of the earth...

Where your treasure is , that is where your heart is...
...xox...

I think that the relevance of cars won't be much...where they might be there...what happens when you find something else that you like working on and with more and cars just don't hold your attention anymore?

You know, I'm glad someone had the cajones to raise this, since it seems there is always some criticism from other believers on these thoughts and concerns.

I'm an astronomy buff. Sooo... no more planets? Galaxies???? I'll never get to see what He created out there??

I loved being married and having a sex life. None of that, either?

And yes, perpetual daylight? I love the onset of night, stars, quiet, crickets.

And, our pets... we'll never see these again either? I miss Sam, and Jimmy, and other animals that were in my life.

But... trying to bring my thoughts in line with faith, I have fathomed the following...

* Somehow, there will be sex. If not, there'll be something better. Hmm... that's intriguing. Otherwise, it is a real test of faith to say that my late wife and I will only be like brother and sister for all eternity.

* There will be the cosmos, but it will be redone.

* There will be animals. I only hope our beloved pets are included.

* Somehow, our sensibilities will change, and perpetual daylight will be as good as day/night is now.

* I believe there will be construction projects, artistic endeavors, exploratory missions, etc, etc... all to rule the universe with God.

* How much technology will be needed is anyone's guess. But, it would not surprise me if God charged us with continuing to innovate.

* Will there be sports? Why not?

* Will there be vehicles? I don't know... but if you still like them in Heaven, why would God say no? After all, our sensibilities and desires will be 100% pure when we are resurrected.

As someone once wrote, what will we do in Heaven? Whatever we want. Why? Because we won't have the threads of sin woven into our desires and ambitions.
