it sounds scary to some but the book is a wheel chair the word is with in it take great faith like walking on water to simply be the word
I lived that way for a long time. I thought I 'knew enough' and the Spirit was sufficient.

One night I had finished the novel I had been reading, and I was searching the house for a new book to start. It was how I liked to go to bed, read until my eyes were tired.
I was getting frustrated because I had already read every book I could find. Then I saw the Bible, and it hit me, if I really believe this is the testimony and word of God Himself, then there is no other book in the history of the universe more important, and why on earth would I even consider picking anything else up?

So i started reading it.

I found out I was a total fool and an absolute idiot. I knew next to nothing about God and was so full of pride because of the few things I knew and the bare minimum faith I was running on!

Mind you I had read the whole thing before from start to finish. I had grown up in Sunday school and hearing preaching 3 times a week. I was not 'unfamiliar' but I was so so so stupid and knew nothing, nothing, nothing.

I can read a single chapter over and over for the rest of my life and still not find everything in it. The Bible is like no other book. Of course it isn't! It's God's word!

Why would I put it down?

Can I survive without it? Be saved without it? Sure!
But good grief how dumb do I have to be to do so willingly? When it's right here? Like going to war and leaving my sword at home, or starving to death with bread on the table

When the Holy Spirit enters a person, truth and conviction come with it. When this happened for me, I had never actualy reaad the Word for until that instant I could not make sense of it. I was then drawn to read the Word, and all seemed perfectly right and correct for the first time. I read the Word from cover to cover many times over the years since.

No, I do not understaand all of the Word, like all others, but I do know the even the meanest of education experience the same.

The Holy Spirit is absolutely beautiful even though we cannot see Him, but He delights in showing us the Way.

forever leaning is like forever waiting for god the 2 witnesses
God is infinite.
There is infinity in His words - will I ever stop growing in knowledge of Him? Why is knowing Him eternal life?

I have no reason to stop reading and meditating on His word. I have every reason to continue hiding it in my heart

The term "sola Scriptura" was originally a reaction to the Catholic idea that the primary authority for theological truth was the magisterium. So far, nothing in this thread has addressed that.

I would reject that thought and here is why:

They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death. - Revelation 12: 11

The word of their testimony comes not from man or themselves but from the Holy Spirit which guides us into all Truth - Thy Word is TRUTH - Sola Scriptura - Amen

SOLA SCRIPTURA where idols are crushed to dust, where religion dies, where men are made ALIVE and
where God is Glorified.

Do a detailed study of......... Melchizedek
I love Melchizedek - and how do you see in Melchizedek, more then the enirety of scripture, of our Lord's First Coming and His Second Coming - Return of the King.

The "king of Salem " and the "prince of Peace" are the same idea.
Jesus always said...."peace be with you", and He is the Peace on Earth.
El Elyon 'most high God", is the same idea.
He brought "bread and wine" (Christ's blood and body), and deals with Abraham, who is the "father of our faith".

Jesus The Christ is "after the order of Melchizedek".

"King of Righteousness",
