What does Psalm 32 teach us?

A Maskil of David.
32 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up[b] as by the heat of summer. Selah
5 I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord”,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
6 Therefore let everyone who is godly
offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters,
they shall not reach him.
7 You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
which must be curbed with bit and bridle,
or it will not stay near you.
10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.
11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,
and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

What does Psalm 32 teach us?

2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,
2: is also Romans 4:8, ..... where Paul explains to all the born again that God does not charge sin to the Born again, ever again.
Why?
Because God has already charged your sin to Christ, who has been judged for them all, and died.

God will never hold the born again accountable in eternity for your sin, as Christ has already been judged for them all, on Earth.

Welcome to : Salvation.

I think you are overlooking where the mercy came in when he didn’t acknowledge his sin before God he was crushed under the weight of it

For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.

4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up[b] as by the heat of summer. Selah

Sela”

it was only when David came to acknowledge his sin that it was forgiven , when he refused to acknowledge it he was dying under its weight that’s why we have the New Testament truths in Christ David was operating not in a pretension that his sin didn’t matter but he was desperate to repent and be healed so he swallowed his pride and acknowledged what he did d that brought the sire mercies of David it’s a repetitive theme of we acknowledge our sins we have access to cleansing power of we pretend we haven’t sinned we are in a state of denial and cannot have the sin removed we’re indeed lying to God

David understood this

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:8-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can’t pretend because God knows our deeds and thoughts already if we find the image of Christ we are going to understand it’s okay to acknowledge our sins he will forgive us if we are honest and real with him

it’s the source of mercy and justification in Christ

“The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:11-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when we refuse to take responsibility formoir actions that are sinful and pretend God didn’t see it and it wasn’t sin it’s because we think we’re right and refuse to hear what he is saying there’s no place to hide anymore so now we have to get real and begin to examine ourselves and acknowledge where we need to repent and change because that place brings sure mercy

“Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:3, 6-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God isn’t here to ok our sins without guilt or consequences he came to call us out of them and beginning to acknowledge we have sin too , is where it happens that we are cleansed from them we have to turn away from sins dominion In us

If we just ignore the “ sin conscience “ like those teachers are teaching we are trying to avoid Gods ways

For one thing,
Not acknowledging our sin ((v. 5))
Is a spirit of deceit ((v. 2))

In other words if we say we are without sin, we are liars

For one thing,
Not acknowledging our sin ((v. 5))
Is a spirit of deceit ((v. 2))

In other words if we say we are without sin, we are liars
and can never hear this call

“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

which means this longsuffering and mercy and patience of God , wouldn’t help us because we are in denial that it’s for us

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and the truth because we cling to a lie can’t accomplish it’s goal

“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:25-26‬ ‭

We don’t want to hear this voice and imagine it’s the truth because it has an appearance of being named of Christ

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭13:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:5‬
