the Lord Jesus is no liar . you don't have yo agree with me brother .
I was not calling the Lord a liar, sorry if you misunderstood my meaning. What I was stating is that when the Lord says, He will be our ALL in ALL, especially when He has called one to be single, HE shall keep His promises, for a special Grace is given, and He does become your all in all.
That is why I said if He does NOT keep His promise, then He would be a liar, HE Always keeps His promises, so HE is never a liar.
I do hope that clears it up.
Lord bless you....

Btw. Anyone who wants to pm can do so. Strictly friendship though. Just trying to balance my life/mind with connect with good people. So far i found 1 rare contact. This room has surprised me.
Greetings Matthew W. I see you are also single, this is so uplifting and a surprise. I've not met any single men in Christ except on this "Christian chat"........
He keeps us, Grace is given to us to be able to live so.
Now I am new here, so "pm" means private message is that correct? I do think one has to pay a membership fee for such a service, is that correct also?
Have a blessed day........the Lord keep you.

I said pm. Because of the positive vibes here. The positive influences here. But also because I was not encouraged to talk about my issues. Nor was there non judgemental listening available. Friendship without strings has been like a myth through life. So the message was like a handshake hello to all.

He/She is probably talking about Mark 10

10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 11But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Okay here is 3 scriptures which the Lord taught to His disciples:

Mat 19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
Mat 19:11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
Mat 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Then Paul wrote this about men or women to be single:

1Co 7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
1Co 7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
1Co 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
1Co 7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

1Co 7:28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

1Co 7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
1Co 7:33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

1Co 7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
1Co 7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

So you see it is possible for man and woman to not be married, for they are free to serve the Lord more readily than married people.
However, the Lord gives them the Grace to do so, and when they are called to do so. There were men of God in the OT also were not married, as according to the Lord's perfect will and purpose for the individual. That is why, no true believer in Christ can forbid anyone from not marrying.

Lord bless you......

[email protected] time here😀 Listening to all the back and forth chats, I am tempted to ask. Do you think it is right to meet a 'Christian' partner on a social fora? Looks like it's becoming more and more common out there, and even Christians are into it. Everything is happening on social medias. I hope I don't sound negative. I just want to hear views. Do you think it's something God salutes???????

I think God is probably less concerned about where and how we meet people than about how we conduct our relationships with those we do meet. But I also think that the internet opens up the possibility of more long distance relationships and those can be tougher to negotiate because at least one party will have to give up their whole life and offline community to make the relationship work.

Like any tool, it depends on how a person uses it. You can use it to socialize and maybe meet somebody or maybe not. You can use it to make a concerted effort to find the love of your life. Or you can use it to watch porn and flirt with women who like flirting long-distance.

Humans as a group don't change. We just find out things about ourselves when we get a new tool. Will we use this hammer to build a house or whack people in the head?

Thanks for the many replies. Helps to change the way one looks at things.
