I am a Christian Zionist

Christian Zionism
Ecerpt from https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/christian-z

Christian Zionism can be defined as Christian support for the Zionist cause — the return of the Jewish people to its biblical homeland in Israel. It is a belief among some Christians that the return of Jews to Israel is in line with a biblical prophecy, and is necessary for Jesus to return to Earth as its king. These Christians are partly motivated by the writings of the Bible and the words of the prophets. However, they are also driven to support Israel because they wish to “repay the debt of gratitude to the Jewish people for providing Christ and the other fundamentals of their faith,” and to support a political ally, according to David Brog, author Standing With Israel: Why Christians Support the Jewish State.

Christian Zionists interpret both the Torah and the New Testament as prophetic texts that describe future events of how the world will one day end with the return of Jesus from Heaven to rule on Earth. Israel and its people are central to their vision. They interpret passages from the books of Ezekiel, Daniel, and Isaiah as foreshadowing the coming Christian era. The New Testament Book of Revelation is read by many Christians as a prophetic text of how the world will be in the End Times.

Zionism of Israel raises many problems and has been the cause of thousands of deaths. The United Nations, not God, reestablished the Nation of Israel in 1948. After the establishment of Israel, Arabs were pushed out of their lands that they'd occupied for many generations. Their lands were given to Jews from Russia and other foreign lands who'd never set foot in Palestine. After the six day war, Israel claimed sovereignty over lands that Moslems held to be holy. Muslims currently living in Israel do not have the right of citizenship, even though they have generations who've lived there. Israelis treat Muslims as fourth class citizens.

Since 1948, the Jews in Israel have held all the military and political power and have treated Muslims poorly at best.

Keep this in mind. The Muslims don't see Jesus as God, but they do see Him as a great and holy prophet. On the other hand, Israelis/Jews see Jesus as a complete fraud and a liar.

Also keep in mind that most Jews in Israel are agnostic or atheistic today and have no right to claim 'God's promises'. About half of Jews are atheists - why it is so and why they are Jews | Vladimir Minkov | The Blogs (timesofisrael.com)

And, almost 100% of Muslims believe in the One True God, while only seeing Jesus as a prophet.

So, my question to you is, why are you a Zionist? Keep in mind that God promised Israel to the Jews but dispersed them many times for their lack of belief.

I am afraid I have to totally disagree with most of your post.

1st. Zionism is a simply a policy for establishing and developing a national homeland for Jews in Palestine. As a Christian Zionst, I believe as the Bible states that God gave the land as promised to the dececdents of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob; not Ishmael.

Genesis 15:18
New King James Version

18 On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying:
“To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates—

God confirms the promise to Abraham's son Isaac (Genesis 26:3), and then to Isaac's son Jacob (Genesis 28:13). The Book of Exodus describes the Promised Land in terms of the territory from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates river (Exodus 23:31).

Do you oppose the written word of God concerning the right of the people chosen by God to the land according to God's own word?

Have you not the Prophet Jeremiah Chapter 32 and Ezekiel Chapter 36? How about Romans Chapter 11?

Muslim in Israel have an option for cirizenship, you are wrong in that. I was the only non-Jew moderator for the Israel Military Form while it was active on the internet so I had free access to IDF officers up to Colonel in rank. I am not easily fooled. I also trained alongside both Israeli and Syria military fellow officers while I was in the US Army back in the early 70s.

You need futher study on how Muslim see Yeshua/Jesus as your understanding is not correct. https://www.answering-islam.org/

Quote: Also keep in mind that most Jews in Israel are agnostic or atheistic today and have no right to claim 'God's promises'.
Answer: raed to whole 11th chapter of Romans
Romans 11:28-32
New King James Version

28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has [a]committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

Romans 11:25-27
New King James Version

25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [a]opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be [b]saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”

NO, Muslims believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob because they deny the death of Jesus upon the cross for mankind's salvation; the foundation for Christain faith! Alllah is Satan as Islam denies Jesus' devinity, and death upon the cross the Bible teaches that all who teach such are from Satan himself the father of lies! Anyone who know their Bible knows this FACT.

I am a Zionst because I believe in and 100% SUPPORT GOD'S WORD!!!!!

Are you a believer in replacement theology ? Supersessionism, also called replacement theology, is a Christian doctrine which asserts that the New Covenant through Jesus Christ supersedes the Old Covenant, which was made exclusively with the Jewish people. Those you believe the Christian God changes His mind dispite what the Bible says. Allah the Muslim god, that through abrogation changes his mind changing his rules and edicts constantly in the Koran.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; the God of Israel in the Bible does not change His mind as stated in the Bible. Only people who do not know Him or His Word do. ;)

Malachi 3:6
King James Version

6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Numbers 23:19
God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
2 Timothy 2:13
If we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.
Psalm 119:89
Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.

I could keep going but I think I have made my point!

Early Jewish Christians referred to themselves as "The Way" (ἡ ὁδός), probably coming from Isaiah 40:3, "prepare the way of the Lord." Did anyone know that?

"The Way" is how Jesus referred to himself, saying: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).

It is also the phrase used in the Bible to describe the developing church as a movement of Jesus Christ. Even today, all believers in Christ are part of His movement and he is our head pastor and leader. Therefore as we join His movement we are to be the physical expression of what God is like so that the fullness of Jesus Christ can be seen and heard through us.

Throughout the book of Acts people who were followers of Jesus weren't called Christians but they were called followers of The Way or people of The Way. They were not simply committed to a cultural practice or obligation, but they lived in complete devotion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Does anyone here really understand what Zionism is even really about?

Zionism: https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/zionism

Excerpts fromfrom the above:
The term “Zionism” was coined in 1890 by Nathan Birnbaum.

Its general definition means the national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel.

Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, Zionism has come to include the movement for the development of the State of Israel and the protection of the Jewish nation in Israel through support for the Israel Defense Forces.

From inception, Zionism advocated tangible as well as spiritual aims. Jews of all persuasions - left, right, religious and secular - formed the Zionist movement and worked together toward its goals.

Disagreements in philosophy led to rifts in the Zionist movement over the years, and a number of separate forms emerged. Notably: Political Zionism; Religious Zionism; Socialist Zionism and Territorial Zionism.

Here are several additional ways to distinguish between people who are expressing legitimate crticism and anti-Semites who seek to delegimize Israel:

Legitimate critics expose Israel’s flaws in the hope of improving society.
Delegitimizers highlight Israel’s imperfections for the purpose of embarrassing, isolating and demeaning the nation.

Legitimate critics seek to change Israel through its democratic processes.
Delegitimizers attempt to use nondemocratic means to impose changes on Israel, many of which are opposed by the citizens of Israel.

Legitimate critics want to see Israel adopt policies that will help it grow and prosper and coexist with an equally prosperous Palestinian state.
Delegitimizers want to see Israel weakened or destroyed.

Legitimate critics believe the free flow of ideas, culture and trade between peoples is the best way to promote peace and understanding.
Delegitimizers advocate blacklists, censorship and demonization of Israelis.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. put it this way when he was approached by a student who attacked Zionism, When people criticize Zionists, King said, they mean Jews. You're talking anti-Semitism.

While I support Israel and know end time events cannot happen unless Israel was restored and the temple rebuilt, I also understand that Israel today came by the will of man and not the Lord. The kingdom promised to Israel would be in the 1000 year reign of Christ. The troubles that Israel deals with show easily that the Lord is not guiding and protecting Israel

I will surely gather the remnant of Israel.
I will put them together like sheep in the fold;

They will be noisy with men.

And declare in the coastlands afar off,
And say, “He who scattered Israel will gather him
And keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.”

Ezekiel 39:27
When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall be sanctified through them in the sight of the many nations.

Ezekiel 39:28
Then they will know that I am the Lord their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then gathered them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer.

Isaiah 11:11-12
Then it will happen on that day that the Lord
Will again recover the second time with His hand
The remnant of His people, who will remain,
From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath,
And from the islands of the sea.
And He will lift up a standard for the nations
And assemble the banished ones of Israel,
And will gather the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.

Zechariah 12:1-3
King James Version
12 The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

The Jewish people view Jesus as a charlatan and a liar, simple as that. They have become a secular state in which most are agnostic/atheistic. A number of times, in the Old Testament, God expelled the Israelites from Israel because they had grievously sinned against Him.

In the New Testament, Jesus foretold of the Jews losing their inheritance.
Jesus Himself told a parable explaining the destruction of Jerusalem and the rise of "the times of the Gentiles." It's the parable of the vineyard and its tenants, recorded in all three synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke). Clearly, this parable was very key for the early church's understanding of the kingdom of God. In the parable, the tenants who have been working the vineyard symbolize the Jewish leaders. They killed the owner's servants, who represent the prophets, and then they conspired to kill the vineyard owner's son and heir. Jesus makes it clear in the parable that the vineyard owner will judge the wicked tenants, take away their share in the vineyard and give it to others.

On his final entry into Jerusalem, Jesus told the women not to weep for Him, but to weep for themselves and Jerusalem. Jesus foretold that Jerusalem/Israel would be completely destroyed because they didn't recognize the time of His coming. And that's exactly what happened in the year 70AD. Israel was destroyed/scattered and the Temple was completely destroyed.

Two thousand years later the Jews control Israel. They were ceded the land/country by the United Nations in 1948. Since that time they still believe that Jesus is a charlatan/liar and they despise Jesus to this day. Jews reject Jesus outright.

The Zionist movement of today has nothing to do with God, only a movement for a secular nation for Jews. Don't confuse this with God's will.

Learn the Scriptures:

2 Timothy 3:16-17
New King James Version

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Romans 11
New King James Version

Israel’s Rejection Not Total
11 I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, 3 “Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life”? 4 But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. [a]But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
7 What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. 8 Just as it is written:
“God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears that they should not hear,
To this very day.”
9 And David says:
“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
A stumbling block and a recompense to them.
10 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see,
And bow down their back always.”
Israel’s Rejection Not Final
11 I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their [b]fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. 12 Now if their [c]fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!
13 For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, 14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. 15 For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and [d]fatness of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, [e]goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [f]opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be [g]saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”
32 For God has [h]committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
35 “Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”
36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Despite all I have written above, I want the Jewish people to have their State of Israel as it is today. The USA needs them in the Middle East. They are a hope for democracy in an area of the world that knows of only brutal dictatorships. I am not anti Jewish/semetic, but I only support them only in a secular sense.

This on Jesus Second Coming as is Romans 11 when all remaining Jews will be saved!!!

Zechariah 12
New King James Version

The Coming Deliverance of Judah
12 The [a]burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of [b]drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. 4 In that day,” says the Lord, “I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.’ 6 In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place—Jerusalem.
7 “The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8 In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them. 9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Mourning for the Pierced One
10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. 11 In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of [c]Megiddo. 12 And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves.

God always keeps His promises and He kept those that you've listed above. However, those promises have nothing to do with the Nation of Israel as it stands today. Instead, God was promising deliverance of the Jews that had been taken captive by the Assyrians. And He did deliver them. But keep in mind that it was God that allowed them to be taken captive by the Assyrians due to their faithlessness and idolatry toward God.

Your biblical quotes were from the Old Testament and concerned the situation of that day. God kept His promises and reconciled the Jews that were captured by the Assyrians with the tribe of Judah. But it has nothing to do with the Zionism of Israel today. Your post is smoke and mirrors.

Luke 21:20-24
New King James Version

The Destruction of Jerusalem
20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

“Christian Zionism” strikes me as the epitome of doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. We are called to spread the gospel and serve the needy. While there is room for other concerns, if they supersede the primary concern, something has gone off the rails… or will very soon.
