Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge ...

REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY

“Wherever replacement theology has flourished, the Jews have had to run for cover,” notes biblical scholar Thomas Ice. “Wherever such a view has gone it has always led to anti-Semitism.”[1] Another scholar says, “Replacement Theology has provided the basis for all sorts of mischief, persecution, and atrocities against the Jewish people throughout Christian history.”

Do you have any of your own thoughts to share on this subject? What is it about 'replacement theology' that (allegedly) leads to anti-Semitism?

Calling Christianity a replacement theology is hateful to Jewish Christians. It is thinly veiled antiChristian rhetoric.

Christ fulfils the law. There is no separate salvation for NonChristian Jews. None come to the Father except through Christ.

The idea that replacement theology stokes anti-semitism is shallow. Plus I think it's bad theology anyways:

Revelation 7 lists out 12,000 from each tribe even though 10 of them were divorced in the OT.

Jesus in Matthew 15 says he has come for the lost sheep of the house of Israel, the same group of people that were divorced. Gentiles get grafted in the same way they always have, through faith.

There were those cut from the tree, and there were those grafted in. There were also Jewish Christians and their descendants that were never cut from the tree to begin with.

Understand: Beware of those who say they are Jews but are not. Rather they are a synagogue of Satan.

Pre-trib rapture.
Dispensationalism.
The demonization of supersessionism.
The use of the term "judeo-christian"

What is the common denominator with all these ideas?
Who benefits?
If you were Satan, would you not work to infiltrate Christianity to reduce it's effectiveness, so that they might have a form of Christianity but deny its power?

Christians should beware any time they find themselves allied with anti-christians.

Romans 11 does, to me, seem to purport replacement theology.

However, I do believe that the passage in question does not exclude the concept that many of the promises given to Israel in the Old Testament will be fulfilled in the seed of Jacob alone.

While I also think that some of the promises given to Israel do also apply to the church.

I'm lost.... who are the anti-christians? The replacement theology people or the anti-replacement theology people?

The term "replacement" theology is hateful toward the first Jewish Christians and their descendants. The use of the term is antiChristian.

The term Jewish christian is not the term to be used.
Messianic jew is that which best suits.
Replacement theology is a false teaching that God is done with the nation of Israel. That the church is his replacement.
This has crept into the early churches and was preached throughout the western world.
A jew cannot become a christian any more than a christian can become a jew.....yet we are one in Christ Jesus.
We (christian) are the spiritual, the bride of christ. Exclusive to Jesus.
The jews are the physical (bloodline) to Christ Jesus.
Remembering that God created the Jewish nation through abraham who was first a pagan.
Christian roots run deep into Judaism as we are adopted into it.
All the old testament scripture point to Jesus. The new testament is the starting of the fulfillment of the old testament prophecies.
I say the starting of the prophecies concerning end time prophecy which are yet to be fulfilled.
The prophecies concerning the law and it's bondage the separation of relationship and the forgiveness of sin has been fulfilled and satisfied on calvary.
As john the baptist said...behold the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world...Praise Jesus thank you.

To believe is replacement theology is to erase our roots ...our promises from God. Our beginning.
As we are adopted into God's family.

As I ask so many here and abroad a simple question...
If you were a orphan and I were to adopt you.. Would I become part of your family or do you become part of mine?

You can be both. Anyone that is descended from the first Jewish Christians is by blood as well as spirit.

Not all of Israel are Israel. The seed of the promise is counted in Christ and those in Christ.

I don't think there's anything inherent in the teaching that would cause anti-semitism. However, in the past it has gone hand-in-hand with anti-semitism. It's used as justification for those who already harbor anti-semitism. Their reasoning goes: "God has put the Jews under condemnation because they rejected and crucified their Savior. We, the church, have replaced Israel and are superior; the Jews deserve whatever they get."

Judah is but one tribe of Israel. The namesake patriarch was named by Leah when she gaave birth to him. She declared Yahweh has blessed me with a mnchild therefor I will call his name Judah.........I will praise Yah.

All who truly love and praise Yah are Jews, be they already in Yeshua or yet to be.

When the record of the first believers being called Christian occurred at Antioch, it was mosst likely an insult from non believeing Jews to separate alll from what they considered the true praisers of Yah, hwoeverthey could not be so, for they rejected their King, Our King

Thus we are all warned stearnly to beware of those who call themselves Jews but are not, for they are a synagogue of Satan, not of Jesus Yeshua.

Envy has separated many from the Way, the Truth and the Life. Blessed be Jesus Yeshua. Praise Him always, amen.

Those who believed in and promoted Replacement Theology concluded that since the Church had replaced Israel, God was finished with the Jews. Therefore they should be persecuted, hated, killed or driven away. Europe was essentially anti-Semitic throughout its history for this reason. And this hatred came to a head under the Nazis. But even the USA was anti-Semitic at that time.

So the problem is not with ‘replacement theology’ per se, but with erroneous ideas that typically accompany it.

That is spiritual speaking but not literally.

Nope. All religious Jews in Judaism are Messianic Jews because they believe in a Messiah. Jewish Christian is the correct term because they are racially Jewish and their religion is Christianity.

Yes but also the theology also angers God.
I will bless those that bless you and curse him that curse you.
The teaching of this alone is anti semitic. It causes Ill thoughts toward the people and nation.
