Hello! My name is Bruce.
Originally born in Ontario, Canada and now living in North Carolina, USA. I moved down here about 10 years ago due to a marriage which ended a few years ago. My family in Canada but my friends down here.
Besides my faith in Christ, my passions include reading, watching and visiting places of history, steam engines, walking and hiking through the mountains. I enjoy watching older shows such as Carol Burnette, Tim Conway, McGyver and many others.
Many times I am responding to posts in the Singles Forum. I hope to be married again soon but not desperate.
Analyst with accounting functions has been mostly my employment through the years. Not ready to retire yet!

I grew up outside of Detroit and lived about 10 miles from Windsor, Ontario which is across the river. Even though I'm married I usually hang out in the Singles Forum because the peeps are generally friendly and laid back. A lot of members have been through a divorce too including myself so you are not alone in that regard. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

Welcome Bruce--it sounds like you have a variety of interests--when you are out and about with a variety of interests, your chances are greater to meet someone (I shouldve thought of that!) May God bless you with a best friend and faithful partner in crime--oops in Christ!;)

Is '61 your birth year? If so, welcome to your sixties! :)

Thanks for the welcome. I may be starting the sixties, but I prefer to be starting the 40's. I belong to the Young at Heart Club.

You are welcome! I remember my forties :D I had just gotten clean and sober for the first time following twenty four years of alcohol and drug addiction and abuse, after crying out to the God I did not believe in for help. Within days I was delivered, and my life began anew. Then again at the onset of my fifties, my life was once again transformed when I finally surrendered my opposition to God, and my life more fully to Him, and was baptized into the faith. What a journey it's been! I thank God for being gracious in allowing me to survive the stupidity and rebellion of my youth :)

Luna, are you asking me how I did those welcome panels? If you quote the person's post you wish to respond to, by selecting Reply at the bottom right hand corner, that person is notified that you have quoted them :D Any who, I design those in Photoshop. I do not do the drawings; they are very much more like digital collages, as I have collected thousands of bits and pieces of things over the past few years, like butterflies and flowers and stars and clouds and frames and borders and backgrounds and a whole lot of other things LOL and then I play in serious mode :D My process is fairly spontaneous  I worked in the photofinishing industry for forty four years almost to the day, for I started on my 21st birthday and was laid off about two weeks after turning 65, as covid began shutting everything down in March of last year. I saw a lot of beautiful pictures in those years, and some not very nice, too! If you would like to see more of my designs, I have a link in my auto siggy to my Scripture Art thread :) If you are interested in doing anything similar let me know, and I can give you some pointers if you like (y)

Never mind our youth, God gives us grace to survive the stupidity of our adult years, as well.
