Hello,

I hope you all are well this morning. Thanks for letting me in the conversation. I was raised Catholic but moved away from the church and spent most of my life away from God and pretty far left. In the last few years politics has been the road back to Christ. I couldn't drink the left's kool-aid anymore, if you will, made conservative friends, and opened myself up to God. I'm a public school teacher (which can be kind of hilarious because public schools are, you know, public schools) who counts myself as part of the silent majority. I don't need to yell at people about politics or religion at this point; I am listening and asking Christ to show me the way. I'm 52, three kids, struggle some with PTSD, but you'd not know it if we met, I'm normal, I swear:) Thank you again, everyone, for allowing me to feel less alone. I get the sense there are more like me out there.

I was raised a Catholic too but not have attended mass for many years. I tool am a conservative in my political views. I believe that there are plenty like you out there. Glad to hear that you are normal and also glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

Dear RA,

Welcome here and welcome into the fold--I hope you meet some nice people here--and the rest well...you may need to turn the other cheek--if that doesn't work there is always the 'ignore' feature.;) "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."--1st Corinthians 15:58
