I agree, I'd rather have police patrol the streets. Oh well, I guess they should have thought of that while protesting to "defund the police".
I could even handle local citizens in areas where they have the right to open carry. It's not a better alternative than the LLE but, legally, it seems to be within their rights.

I own a gun and many in my family are or were in the armed forces.

I'm concerned this case may set a poor precedent. How many of us want 17 year-olds driving from 20 miles away to patrol our streets with ARs?
I would agree that he made a bad decision by being there in the first place but all the evidence is pointing towards self-defense

Now you do bring up a good point.

Christians usually are part of the group all about the 2nd amendment rights...they definitely believe in them. Where they don't bring their guns to church on Sunday very often...they do believe in them and use them and believe in their use for protection.
However...
They believe that God will protect them from a highly contagious virus and believe that protection from the virus by a vaccine is an affront to God.

And yet see no duality by this.
I' guess anti-vaxxers will be looking over this great point you make because it blasts their stance.

You might want to avoid a thread titled Kyle Rittenhouse trial, I suspect that all the posts in this thread will be about the trial.
I know, right? How dare we have an invested interest in a case that will determine whether or not we will have the right to defend ourselves from violent criminals. The gall!

No different than the media? We're discussing the evidence and the evidence is pretty cut and dry. The media twists and stretches truth--they're compulsive liars. Are you seriously saying a group of Christians, concerned about the TRUTH being told and JUSTICE being done, can be compared to a lying media???

As an aside, this is the only thread I've seen on this topic so I'm not sure where you're hearing all the "drama" here. You wanna see some drama, go check out the 42 threads on the vaccine or the vaccine being the Mark of the Beast.
Can you people read between the lines?
This is being blown up MUCH bigger than it actually is.
just like all the crap with vaccines and covid.

I mean, around here IN KENOSHA people are just rolling their eyes, and shaking their heads over this stuff. The crowds you see around the courthouse are made up of people who are NOT even from here (gee, ironically neither is Rittenhouse or any of the others who committed domestic violence during those nights).

You want to know what is REALLY happening in Kenosha, I suggest you ask Kenoshians NOT the media that is feeding all this hype.
Either way, people are not going to be happy with the outcome of this trial and once again all hell's going to try and break lose among the city.

Yes, if the vaccine truly did protect you from virus it would be weird. I guess what I would say is the same people who are "pro life" when it comes to abortion are pro life when it comes to a vaccine that is about 20x's more dangerous than the vaccine whose protection has been shown to only last two months before needing another one of these very dangerous shots. Seems quite consistent.

What is really hypocritical is that the same people screaming "my body, my choice" when it comes to abortion are now telling others what they have to do with their body. The same people saying "respect the science" are ignoring the data on this.

Not only so but they are clueless that they are guinea pigs for this experiment, the vaccine that they are taking is the experimental one.

This trial is not about Kenosha, it is about self defense. Do you have a right to defend yourself with a gun. It is critical because if we are about to see a takeover of this country the Soros backed communists are very scared of the 350 million guns in the hands of Americans who feel they have the right to defend themselves.

As the Soros backed prosecutors said "sometimes you just need to take a beating".

Ya. Great point! We'd be a lot better off with a precedent that 17 year olds aren't allowed to defend themselves when they're literally being chased by pedophiles intent on hurting them.:rolleyes:

Everyone is mocking the Prosecutor for taking a gun and pointing it at the jury with his finger on the trigger. They think this was a very poor closing technique besides being unsafe and illegal. However, I think the jury got the message, vote against us and we know where you live.
Yes. I think he was sending a threat with that stunt. I don't buy that's just buffoonery.

The whole D**n thing was a set up.
Majority of rioters that night were no doubt paid for by Soros $$$
They got what they wanted out of it.....
hatred, division, and yet another reason to try and go after Americans guns.

Like the good old days with Sodom and Gomorrah. Just when you couldn't believe Lot would offer his daughters to the mob of rapists, I guess now we can understand what was going on.

His dad lives in Kenosha, so I guess it would be more accurate to say "how many want our 17 year olds standing side by side with their father and uncle to protect the family business from rioters?

I thought he got his gun from a buddy and was walking the street with the same buddy.

He testified under oath that he went there because his dad lives there and I also heard that his uncle owned a business on that street.

Aaron56 wants me to "do better". I'm up for a challenge, so here goes... Let's break this down:
I own a gun and many in my family are or were in the armed forces.
This right here is where Aaron is trying to establish his credibility with you. He's trying to paint this picture that he's not an anti-gun, left-wing whacko. Trust him, he owns "a" gun! That means he's not a gun grabber, so what comes next will carry more weight. This is a very, very common tactic among anti-gun lefties on the Internet. Learn to recognize their patterns.

I'm concerned this case may set a poor precedent.
Ya. Sure he's "concerned". But his concerns are not our concerns as we're about to find out...

How many of us want 17 year-olds driving from 20 miles away to patrol our streets with ARs?
...aaaand here we have the heart of the matter! No mention of an out of control riot with a bunch of communist revolutionaries burning up a city. No mention of fact that police weren't doing a thing to stop it. No mention of the fact that Kyle was assisting relatives struggling to keep a family business from literally going up in flames. No mention of the fact that these antifa's threatened to kill him. No mention of the fact that his attackers were violent criminals with records...even including child rape. No mention that they were chasing after him down, trying to kill him. No mention that they were smashing a skateboard into his head while he was on the laying on the ground. No mention that his attackers were also armed and threatening him. Aaron56 isn't concerned with any of that.

@Aaron56 is "concerned" that not sending Kyle to prison will set some kind of scary "precedent". **Slanderous character assassination and innuendo removed** That's what Aaron56 is concerned about.

@Aaron56 is "concerned" that not sending Kyle to prison will set some kind of scary "precedent". What Aaron56 is actually concerned about that he just doesn't want you to be allowed to defend yourself when his antifa buddies attack you. He doesn't want your children to be able to defend themselves when his pedophile buddies attack your little ones. That's what Aaron56 is concerned about.
I don't understand the argument "a 17 year old shouldn't have been there with a gun".
17 year Olds can join the military. If they can do that, then they should also be able to join a militia to defend a city against rioters.

Whoa! Is self defense still legal? I thought we were supposed to take a beating, no?
