I'm hurt and I've been praying to God for a miracle with no response and I've never doubted God because he has always been there for me, I think this prayer might not be answered as it's time bound and seems timing on this is already up.
I don't want to loose my faith but I must confess of late I've found it hard to pray and believe but I want to remain positive and hopeful.

God has three responses to prayer: Yes, No and Wait. Whatever the response, it the very best for you because He loves you. God wants us to trust Him just because He is God. God's blessings are encouragement. Very often it is the spiritually immature who get the warm fuzzy feelings and answered prayer. The mature know that God is with them even in the darkest days. If you can trust God when everything is falling apart, then Satan has lost.

I used to have bad years, which turned to bad months, weeks and days. Now it's more a few bad hours. And I know why now. The moment I look at my circumstances, start looking at my own deficiencies or worrying about my future, my heart sinks and I lose my joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength, so I become weak. I realise too that I am sinning through doubt and unbelief. The antidote is to stay fixed on Jesus and His love for me.

Faith has to be tested in order to prove that it is real faith. God knows the truth, so trials are to show us where we are in reality. No one is as good as they think they are. That's why we should pray, "Do not lead us into hard testing, but deliver us from evil".

I think we overestimate pain as something that can't benefit us, but afterall it is the pain and/or consequences that spur us along to eagerly seek a solution and/or God through prayer. Just based off of my personal experiences, you're most likely being tested. This is possibly a test to see if your faith is genuine. God is sovereign and you pledged your allegiance to Him at some point. Your allegiance to Him should not be based off of of conditions because we are commanded to love God with everything we have. Dig your heels in and rejoice, you were counted worthy!

So stay strong, bolster your faith, get into the Word. I am open to having a fun and lighthearted group Bible study with you and some others here on the forums if you'd like. Right now we need to come together and boost each other as necessary. On top of that, I will pray for you personally with a friend of mine. 🙏

Amen Amen, it is so hard to stay strong but i want to believe God is testing my faith or his answer to my prayer is "NO" believing that he knows best, i would try to stay strong and absorb the pain.

I came to Christ a complete wreck of a human being. It took me a long time to accept that God loved me no matter what. When I saw that, it made life easier. I think is one of the most important revelations that we can have.

Your heart may be breaking
And God may be taking
Something away from you
For the sake of your good.

Right now you can't see it
But He knows you can be it
The person He'll grow in you
Once you let go if you would.

The pain of betrayal you suffer
The longing for resolution to this
Circumstance is beyond your control
While it cuts to the depths of your soul.

So let it go and trust in Him
For He has plans for you
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
Plans to give you hope and a future.

It's there in His Word
His most beautiful Word
Written, revealed, and living
To replace those dreams that are dying.

God knows better than we do, all things. even our own hearts, and what is right, just, and good.

you shouldn't let your faith depend on having an outcome to any situation that you think is best - but fear God and trust Him, humbly

I understand what you mean. When my husband passed, I got ANGRY with God. I didn't want to hear anything about or from God for a long while. Funny thing happened. God kept loving me, he kept giving to me and he kept breing merciful towards me. He's a BIG God who can take our ears, our doubt and our anger. It's been over 2 years now, and I still go through bouts of anger, especially when the loneliness kicks in, but over time my faith is returning. One thing I knew the entire time was God HAS to be real, because I couldn't be this angry with a being that doesn't exist.

When I have trouble praying, I just praise God instead. I sing a LOT in times like this, and it helps. You said you don't want to lose your faith. Well, the Bible says that faith the size of grain of mustard can move mountains. Ever seen a mustard seed? It's TINY!! So it's okay to have doubts at times. It's okay to wonder. Just keep your mind and ears open to hearing when God does answer.

Peace!!

I'm mad, I'm frustrated, I'm disappointed, I'm hurt, and yet He just keeps loving me. And then I saw this...
Your heart may be breaking
And God may be taking
Something away from you

Right now you can't see it
But He knows you can be it

Thank you, Magenta...this is all I can handle right now.

Dearest Oblio, I am so sorry to hear you are suffering so much right now. These things which cut into us so deeply and painfully carry with them much knowledge about who we are and where we place our faith and hope, and as such, we can learn considerably from them. Another thing I have learned is that when Jesus resides at the depths of my being, nothing can get under Him or supplant Him as my bedrock. Then it becomes as if nothing else really matters; moments pass in a seemingly endless stream of events in which I can choose to invest, or not, and even if I invest and lose, with my faith and trust and hope in Him, all will be well regardless of what transpires elsewhere in my psyche. With my roots firmly entrenched in Him, the rest of life is as air rustling through the upper branches of my being, sometimes in a whisper, other times in a near deafening roar, but always passing, and never earth shattering.

May you dream you are dreaming, in a warm soft bed
And may the voices inside you that fill you with dread
Make the sound of thousands of angels instead
Tonight where you might be laying your head

I wish you well.
(Patty Griffin lyrics)

I've lost my perspective recently.

Trials and tribulations are blessings in disguise
Nesting in the skies of our souls
They come for a reason, remaining for a season
Accomplishing the reason they were sent...they're heaven sent. tc

1 [a]James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes who are [b]dispersed abroad: Greetings.
2 Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various [c]trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [d]endurance. 4 And let [e]endurance have its perfect [f]result, so that you may be [g]perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. - James 1: 1-4 NASB
