3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

They turn aside to myths or fables? What could he possibly be referring to?

This whole posting is utter nonsense!

An extreme fanaticism!
Who cares if you celebrate this holiday with all the lights and decor?
I certainly don't. I also don't care what people think of me Scrooge or not!

CAN YOU SET YOUR LIGHT ON A HILL, THEN COVER IT WITH A BUCKET.......😆😆😆😆😆😆

That hypocrisy........
This whole thread has led us to a very interesting point in the Bible which is often overlooked.

James says that good works are evidence of faith. When Abraham obeyed God to offer up Isaac it was evidence that he had faith in the God of resurrection.

Compare this with

Jude who says that evil works are evidence of apostasy. They are evidence of turning away from God to doctrines of demons and myths according to their lusts.

It is also interesting that this is both two sides of the same thing and Jude and James were brothers and Jude comes right before Revelation. It is the vestibule of the End of the age.

Please provide me with the verse why I am a "deadbeat dad" for not buying Christmas Presents

The fact is Christmas is not a Christian holiday and we can sugarcoat it with all the bells and whistles. If it brings you closer to God, go for it. I know what my Bible teach me about manmade feast days so for me and my house, we will not do it.

Did I partake in this when I was a child? Yes of course.
Did my son partake in it? When I didn't know the truth, yes of course.

But since I know the truth I can now safely say "no more trees for me". If we get to my family still in religion I don't start preaching and burning their tree. How silly. We enjoy the day. Thank my family and go home. Just like I enjoyed your silly remark, gave you my opinion (as you clearly gave us yours) and now I am out of here.

Be blessed this December and enjoy the time with your families. I have a feeling that this might be the last peaceful one we will have for a while and I will be glad to be wrong comes December 2022.
LOL Hey I don't know you but if you were convicted don't blame me LOL

The Nazi's agreed that the Christmas tree came from their worship of Odin

Nazism wanted to transform the subjective consciousness of the German people—their attitudes, values and mentalities—into a single-minded, cohesive "national community".[2] According to the American journalist Shirer, "under the leadership of Rosenberg, Bormann and Himmler—backed by Hitler— the Nazi regime intended to destroy Christianity in Germany, if it could, and substitute the old paganism of the early tribal Germanic gods and the new paganism of the Nazi extremists."[3]

Nazi ideologists claimed that the Christian elements of the holiday had been superimposed upon ancient Germanic traditions.[7] They argued that Christmas Eve originally had nothing to do with the birth of Jesus Christ, but instead celebrated the winter solstice and the 'rebirth of the sun',[7] that the swastika was an ancient symbol of the sun, and that Santa Claus was a Christian reinvention of the Germanic god Odin. Accordingly, holiday posters were made to depict Odin as the "Christmas or Solstice man", riding a white charger, sporting a thick grey beard and wearing a slouch hat, carrying a sack full of gifts. The traditional crèche was replaced by a garden containing wooden toy deer and rabbits; Mary and Jesus were depicted as a blonde mother and child.[7]

Maybe we'll continue the pattern, since Biblical verses are being twisted. This tree was what popularized Christmas trees in America.

This is a picture of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert who brought this practice to England and based on this it spread to the British Empire.

Several people on this thread have pointed out that the modern Christmas tree dates back to a Germanic practice, which is historically accurate.

I have simply pointed out that the Germanic practice was part of worship to Odin and was therefore also idolatrous whether or not you realize the practice dates all the way back to Babylon, doesn't matter.

If you choose to educate yourself and read the link I provided you will see a distinct comparison between the current movement to remove Christ from Christmas with what the Nazi's did.

Ummm, I don’t know anyone consciously or unconsciously celebrating the Son of Perdition on Dec, 25th.
Most of the world celebrates the 'man of sin' unconcsiously in metaphors and thru the RCC thru Christmas and Easter.

Very soon, the world will consciously celebrate the 'revealing of the son of perdition' who is Magnificent in Beauty to the world.

he coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and false wonder, and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie, in order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness. 2 Thess ch2

Thank you again!

I am starting to realize that the Lord wants to reveal all of the ugly little truths concerning this practice so although it wasn't my intention it appears to be his. So thank you for all those who will not let the pagan and idolatrous practices go until all is revealed. We are a light on a hill, we are salt, so amen Lord.

Well it is true that they cut down a fir tree and decorated it with gold and silver in the house and also gave gifts to one another to celebrate the birth of their God on December 25th. However, as one poster pointed out it wasn't "called" a Christmas tree since it was long before Jesus Christ, though to be fair Nimrod did consider himself a "messiah like" figure and he is considered one of the Biblical types for the AntiChrist (which means pseudo Christ, or false Christ).

In disputing with me that the origin was Babylon they referred to the history of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert that this is when it became a common practice and therefore was taken from Germany.

I am simply pointing out that the German practice of bringing a fir tree into the house and decorating it was also idol worship. I am also pointing out that the Nazi's had a goal of removing Christ from Christmas as Hitler was also being portrayed as a pseudo messiah figure.

you are confused over who God is speaking to

I will go with the NT where Paul tells us that no one should be judging us

that takes preeminence over what God said to the Israelites

we can read and study Revelation for revelation from Christ

what you are offering, is a mashup of wannabe prophets who think they are the prophets for this day when they are not

maybe stop with the Bible codes too...as they have been disproved for a long time now
i speak as a former disciple of the RCC.

The Apostle Paul is referring to the Hebrew Feasts/Festivals/Holy Days including the calendar Friday sundown to Saturday sundown sabbath day that no one should be judged by or in or of.

Worshipping Pagan holidays is not for us who have the Sanctification of Truth and the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

The RCC is the Seat of Satan, in this world, concerning religious counterfeit of the True Church which is unseen by carnal eyes.

The Roman(Pagan) Catholic(universal/unsaved world) Church(Cult Gathering) is the the religious Part of the Harlot in Revelation.

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “’Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

In Post #157 you said "That's like going around the neighborhood for candy on Halloween and saying you're not trick or treating. You are taking part and celebrating the holiday like the rest of us."
I was responding to that. You were the one who said you celebrated Halloween.
Comparing holidays, Christmas vs Halloween. Buying Christmas presents and justifying yourself is the same as you taking your kids to ask for candy and saying you don't celebrate Halloween. Comparison between the two. I said nothing about how I felt about Halloween.

Once again i will repeat, what you do is between you and the Lord.
And if you'd leave the comment there there would be no discussion. But you made up a lot of nonsense about a tree being an idol. Or you repeated nonsense from someone else on it.

If He gives you the life and peace to bring that tree in, and tell your kids lies about a big red elf, that is between you and Him.
What I do is based on what the Lord has given me the life and peace to do.
The tree holds no power, it's not an idol, already proved it, using the Bible. The tree is what we are talking about.

This thread is not for the apostates, it is assurance for the Lord's believers of His salvation.

My interest is the believer and the faith.

I believe that nothing is done by "coincidence" all is under the sovereignty of the Lord and therefore this Holiday reveals a lot, it is a shadow of things to come, both of those believers who will be raptured and those who will be left behind to enjoy their gifts from Santa

I am sorry you believe that having a tree in the house or celebrating Jesus birth on the 25th of December (even though we know that is not the most accurate date) is some kind of pagan holiday

I praise God for the gift of His Son and neither you nor any other self appointed prophetic type are going to advise me otherwise

you think the RCC is the seat of satan? I'm not convinced of that but i will keep it between myself and God as to why

my heart is not yours or anyone elses who think they know better than someone who knows and understands a spiritual reality that goes beyond admonishing everyone according to a human understanding

I have read enough of your posts to know that you cannot have any words for me from God

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you are not my teacher

I'm not discussing it further with you...but you go ahead and address yourself to others.

Do not base your faith on what others do.

Everyone of us must stand before the Lord based on the NT and the fellowship of the apostles. That is our covenant.

If someone does or does not celebrate Christmas that has nothing do with your judgement.

When you appear before the Lord if you say "but Lord so and so did this" He will simply say "I never knew you".

You admitted you celebrate Christmas because you didn't want to be called a Scrooge. The tree is not an idol, there is no reason to twist Scripture to make it seem like you will be punished if you have a tree. You're being hypocritical.

are you calling believers in Christ...that God Himself states He holds in His hands and in whom He has placed His Spirit, apostates?

God will admonish you and has already done so but you fail to recognize it and you keep on your path of extra-biblical demonic revelations and are therefore attacking people who know better than you do

you are a false prophet since all your dire warnings about September did not come true

that, is how the Bible would call your exercises with the lying teaching spirits you follow

Ahh !! Now one is a Nazi if they have a Christmas tree. I proved the tree was not an idol, and you twisted Scripture. You didn't even take a beat. Now we're to believe that Nazis are truth tellers. Now having a Christmas tree is akin to being a Nazi. You're nuttier than a Christmas fruitcake.

You have it all twisted around, the reason I posted on your thread about the burning Christmas tree was because I celebrate the Birth of Jesus. I have consistently, every time the subject has come up said that I celebrate Jesus birth.

I have also pointed out that we will be judged according to the NT and the fellowship of the apostles.

For example -- Paul says to not let anyone judge you concerning a feast day. So I do not worry about your judgement on this matter.

Second, I think we should take every opportunity to teach the word of God. This holiday gives us a wonderful opportunity to speak the word of God. That was the burden in this thread. Anyone who wants to go through from the first post to now to see who is actually being judgemental towards those who celebrate the Lord's birth it is you, and two others. But I trust the reader to do their own study unless you force me to go through and requote all your posts.
