Christ/ian/ity = is the strategic deployment of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all, and complete reliance of the Word of God, the Spirit of God in the believer to do it. For the purpose of seeing the lost saved.

It is the religion of those that believe Jesus Christ is the prophesied Messiah. It is founded upon the new Covenant not the old Covenant which contains different rules and commandments.

Then is Christianity a new religion with a new God? Was it a different God who wrote the old testament?

I thought the rules between the old and new covenant were the same as it tells us in Jeremiah. It says the law was now given in our hearts, but I have not read the "rules" were different, only the method of delivery was different.

Christ said we have been told, and Christ said he did not change what we have been told. Then Christ told us the difference between being told in stone by rules and being told the same thing to our hearts and minds. I didn't think scripture tells us of a new God and a new religion. Scripture says Christ completed it, he fulfilled what was of the old, and what is new is a change from the fleshly stone delivery to the delivery to the heart of the same rules. Scripture says God is eternal, meaning it is the same God from Genesis to Revelation, not a new God.

Scripture says the new covenant was to improve the old covenant, I haven't read that God was all wrong and completely mistaken when he gave the old one. The old one became obsolete, old, and went away because the new one was so much better.

There is a lot that entails as to what Christianity is, but essentially it’s the grace and mercy God has give us to avoid the Fathers wrath and to Christ’s judgment.

It’s a peace offing to a rebellious creation. Gods offering as a way to steer away from eternal condemnation.

No.

Scripture says the new covenant was to improve the old covenant
No, it doesn't say that. It says the old Covenant was faulty so a better covenant built upon better promises was needed to replace the old one.

Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Christianity is simply the teachings of Jesus and the apostles.

Christian is one who follows these teachings.

So...., WHAT IS IT?
Theopedia has summed it up quite well:

Christianity is a term generally referring to that Christian faith based on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as presented in the New Testament Scriptures. The word Christian simply means "follower of Christ," first used in the New Testament in Acts 11:26: "And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians." Christianity is a monotheistic faith, believing in only one God. However, based on the teaching of the Bible, God has been revealed as a Trinity of persons, not to be mistaken as a belief in three gods. Christianity regards the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) as the inspired word of God and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. Early extra-biblical definitions of the Christian faith are expressed in the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed.

This is so true.

Our relationship to Christ is so intimate and close that Christ lives within us. Christ cannot live with sin and we sin. Christ took care of that with repentance. Because we know sin through a list of rules, then rules apply to our relationship. Our flesh loves sin, hates rules. People get the rules mixed up with the relationship.

Rules are dead, they mean nothing of themselves, relationship with the Lord is our very life.

Christianity is to believe the accounting of events about Jesus Christ on earth that we learn in the four accounts of the gospel. “Christians “ are disciples of Jesus of Nazareth a teacher of truth and the ways of God. They were later as a group called “ Christians “ because they believed in Jesus the Christ, who preached the gospel to them and taught them of eternal life.

“And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christians means disciples of Jesus , the Christ

so Christianity would be defined by what we learn from and about Jesus in the gospel of Matthew , mark , Luke , John . And then further revelation about Jesus christ is available in the epistles prophets and law

Christianity is a belief that Jesus is the promised messiah of the Old Testament Hebrew prophets writings come to pass

What is Christianity? Define it!

1- The Christian Bible is not a religion...
First, you must accept that you are God's creation, and that God's love for you stems from the fact that you are created in His own image according to His perfect word. However, you are not perfect, you are not god, and the Holy Word of God is an historical account of mankind's slow rebellion against God.

2- Come as you are, all are equally welcome...
Then you must accept that, despite your imperfections, God always knew that you would rebel, but out of love like a Father for His children, God, from the beginning, has always been willing to forgive you. The only unforgivable sin is refusal to believe.

3- Your dues have already been paid...
From the foundation of the earth and heavens, God always had a plan for man's redemption. Jesus Christ, the very word and will of God made flesh by virgin birth, would humble Himself before His own creation, even unto death on a cross, for complete payment of all the sins of mankind.

""For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."'

4- Peace beyond understanding is your reward...
Mankind will once again commune directly with God in the paradise that this earth was intended to be for eternity. Those who refuse God's grace will reside elsewhere, eternally separated from God, in that great smoldering pit prepared for the father of lies.

Did I miss anything...

A better question is, What is the gospel (good news) of Christianity?

The answer...

1Co 15:1, Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2, By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3, For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4, And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1Co 15:4, And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Yeah', but... everyone who reads the Bible gets something different from it; and all the so called "authorities" on the matter have been arguing for millennia!

Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

What I'm after is the core of Christianity, those undeniable precepts that we all must agree upon. What, in the simplest of terms, is the "good news" that unites us without argument, and will not allow us to be fooled by the antichrist?

Not even relationships but it is about understanding.

1 John 5: 20 tells us that the Son of God is come and has given us an understanding , that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. Understanding is the key.

Christianity is simply the religion of those people who follow or profess to follow God as declared by Jesus Christ.

It could also mean the Christian character or quality, for Christians must be known by their character as Christians. They must be known by their Christianity.

My faith is based on the Love of God and true gratitude for what He does for us all, and that is everything, not just a little here and a little there.
Our every breath is by His will,. He is that attentive to us all. So in praising Him, we are also thanking Him, eternally.
