TONGUES is a precious gift from God

I agree that it is only by the Holy Spirit we can understand God's ways and our direction, But you seem to suggest that speaking in tongues is evident of the Holy Spirit being present and those who do not speak in tongues can not have the understanding you do.
The fact that I do not speak in tongues is evidence to me that my understanding may be greater than yours.
I see what presented and practiced as tongues today as nothing more than fulfilling the needs of the flesh and does nothing to glorify God, nor drew attention too our Lord and Savior.

I do not wish to offend anyone, but to me it is all about pleasing the flesh.

Just keep sowing the Seed of the Word of God...let it fall on all the different types of soil...

God's Word will accomplish what He sends it to do! We know there will be a "Harvest" so just keep sowing good seed!!

We’ve been given sooooo many gifts from God our Father in Heaven….speaking in tongues is just one of MANY!

It is our Father’s Will that sinners be saved and sealed, baptized and filled with His Holy Spirit and filled with the knowledge of His Word!

Tongues is NOT false but, there is a counterfeit….you’ll know the difference….No Fear!

I pray I'm someday worthy of tongues if it's God's will. I've never felt it. Perhaps I've not been open enough.

1Co 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1Co 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

^ Notice that verse 8 clearly says that tongues SHALL CEASE. Notice that verse 10 clearly says that that which is done in part shall be DONE AWAY, and that verse 9 clearly says that one thing done in part is PROPHESY.

What are we to make of these things? Namely, what is THAT WHICH IS PERFECT in verse 10? This is talking about the completed Scriptures. When they were not available, certain gifts - including tongues - filled the gap and provided the divine revelation that God's people needed.

Do tongues exist today? I will say that THEY COULD. IF THEY DO, then they must be done in a Scriptural manner, which means that only one person should speak in tongues at a time and one person should interpret. If there is no interpreter, then even if someone present CAN speak in tongues, they should remain silent because it's just confusion without interpretation.

I DO BELIEVE that tongues could still exist on Earth, but likely only in places where the completed Scripture is not available to God's people.

I have seen (false) speaking in tongues in America (no interpreter, chaos, babbling), and it appears to be filthy and demonic to me.

Could be several things going on in your current experience.

Todays christianity is a shadow of what it was in the charismatic renewal. Over 40 yrs ago.

You need to find the remnant.
There is a trail that leads to the remnant.

Once you find them...you WILL be blessed.

Pride is a nasty thing and I see much of it on this forum.
So many people that think they are more spiritual, more learned, have greater discernment because they believe this or that, or reject this or that, and are quick to point that out.
Like so many beliefs, this is one that it is a waste of time to discuss because no one is going to change their mind, so I will just leave.

There is a time for everything - including many things that we would not wish to pass through.

You are simply pressing into a false spirit. You are trying to speak realities into a man's life - may the Lord tear down your words.

Answer a question in a living truth - don't make declarative proclamations of the time of things being at hand as a mechanism to refuse what is said to you in the name of Christ.

You can refuse what one man speaks to another man - you can turn away from the things said of your meanings when men foolishly seek to hold you up - but you cannot remove yourself from the reality of seeking to speak blessings into others lives - unless the Lord has sent you to speak.

It is a simple thing to test the spirits - by testing their words. It is the Lord who is going to tear down that false prophetic spirit that parades like a man - speaks like a man and desires to direct the children of God as a shepherd of their souls - yet speaks falsely.

So exercise that power you are willing to walk in and ask the Father to bring me into judgement.

What do you know of wisdom when you will not acknowledge that you told a man to make Christ his Saviour in context of him simply expressing a wrong understanding regarding his worthiness to receive a gift of tongues?

Go and read his eleven posts that he has made since November 2nd 2021 when he joined the forum - and tell me that he is in need of Christ as Saviour. He isn't - he is in need of the Holy Ghost in power. So as I say sister bring me into judgement if you have the authority to do it. Otherwise remove yourself from telling me that I have condemned you or judged you. I judged your words and brought the spirit of your flesh into question. As a believer in Christ and alive in Him you are neither of those two things because you are in Christ and a new creature in Him. What is parading on this OP is the flesh.

Just to be perfectly clear - I told you to ask the Father to bring me into judgement. You can make this about yourself if you wish - I exercised the gift of tongues nearly 40 years ago and that gift has never been short in my own life. Yet I have seen far too many believers literally destroy others by its misuse because when that gift and the belief that it is evidence of the power of the Holy Ghost is eaten - it often gives rise to pride and from thence to witchcraft. But you can name me before the Father and bring me into Judgement if you have the authority to do so - as the mother has authority over her own children and disciples them out of fear of God. This is not a game sister - and it most assuredly is not about the efficacy of the body and blood of Christ. It is about an effect that is by now so visible that countless numbers of believers are in ruins and have passed into witchcraft when they began in a desire to serve God.

So I do not agree with your misrepresentation in pride - I asked you you exercise just one meaning and it was to bring ME into judgement. I already judged your word and you are too full of pride to see it.
