Hi everyone.
To tell the truth, I decided to join for multiple reasons such as making friends with other christians, discussing interesting topics considering faith or simply sharing a little bit of myself with you.
I'm 22 and I was born in Poland yet I have no issues chatting in English, especially because I've spent almost half of my life learning it. I cordially appreciate learning languages, it seems I learn them fast and it's joyful to play with grammar and paraphrases. I'm still not too good at it, but I'm learning French (in my free time) and German (which is needed for my studies).

Concerning religion, my parents have never been too strict on me thus I had to take action in order to learn more about christianity and other religions. I was curious why christianity is the only rock I should build my life on. There were so many other religions which made sense to me like Buddhism with karma concept or beliefs of Indians, where you should be respectful towards every living being because there's someone greater (they call him 'The Spirit', IIRC) and you're a part of this world so damaging it is insensible.

I willingly chose christianity to be true for a number of reasons and one of the most important ones is the fact I do not achieve salvation through my good deeds whereas every other religion (that I know) considers this a major factor in your final destination. I accept everything I do is not enough to 'reach God all by myself' so I humbly live my life trying to make other people's lives better because that's what Jesus did, too. He served other people, he humbled himself and that's an eye-opener for me. I find it crucial to overcome pride, especially now when there are numerous coaches telling you you should be proud of yourself and of what you've achieved. It's even harder when you did something competitive and did well. I find pride to be the hardest sin to overcome. Even stating that you're humble makes you feel proud of that fact, that may sound ridiculous but that's how it works.

What are you studying there in Poland that requires you to learn German? Also, are you living in a part of Poland with German speaking inhabitants whose ancestors were not deported? What are your thoughts and those of your neighbors about Ukraine? .....enough questions.
