I don't feel ready to engage in conversation about this sin problem, on this website, yet. The reason is, I have engaged in this conversation before, on other places. Every time, those conversations don't help me. Sometimes only God can help me. For those reasons, I'm going to keep this a little vague for now.

I think the reason why I don't feel close to God is because there is mental sin in my life. It's sorta confessed and sorta not confessed. As far as God knowing about it, He knows! I've told him many many times. There are people on the internet, who knew. There are even people in real life that sorta know. I even tried to talk about it with my Dad, and I couldn't quite get the conversation to go where I wanted it to go. I even tried buying a book about it, and then tried to get my Dad to read it. I thought then we could have a man to man conversation about it. He took one look at the book and said, this isn't going to help you, just do the best you can. My point is, I want my struggles to be out in the open. Because without having things in the open, your probably not going to find peace. Perhaps God has a reason for these road blocks. Recently I came across another book on the subject, and this one is criticizing the other one! It is making some really good points.

I want you to pray that God will make a way for me to deal with my sin. Maybe help me to confess it, in such a way, that I end up getting real life help, and finally getting peace. It isn't that I haven't tried. It's just that every time I run into road blocks.

God knows every detail of the sin you are talking about , nothing is hidden from Him...
You do not have to explain it to anyone , nor seek an answer from anyone but God , for it is He you are or have sinned against...
Unless it is sin you have towards another person , and you believe you have hurt them , and they are around you for you to say sorry to , then leave it in the hands of God , repent , and move on...

Thank you for your responses. My problem is with my fleshly desires, and how they effect my mind.

I agree with Rosemaryx there is no reason to bring it out in the open this is between you and God....If it is something you are continually struggling with then maybe finding a trustful believer to confide in.

But my primary concern is your banner "Not feeling close to God" ← That.... I would like to see you change. I don't know if it's condemnation or your image of God ...but even in spite of your shortcomings ....you should still be able to maintain a close relationship with the Father.
Knowing what God has done for you is a good start and the book of Romans is very informative on that...Knowing what God is doing for you now and is going to do for you ....Ephesians is fantastic. Even the first 3 chapters is eye opening to His great love and blessings for your life....Read it slow and absorb every word.....let that sink in and realize that you are His masterpiece!!!
That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward you through Christ Jesus. Eph (2:7)
That God is going to spend the ages to come showing you the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness towards you.....that has got to float you boat a little....

"Let us pray to understand often it is stubbornness that brings cause of self-inflicted misery,
being self-imposed,
voluntary, unforced, chosen, freewill, uncoerced, volitional, volunteer, willing and self-induced.
An individual must come to their own reality of God consciousness and feeling comfortable in such, and
stubbornness being a solid deterrent in confronting a troublesome issue.
-Let us pray you come to a suitable conclusion in your hope of bringing peace in your life."

Thank you for your prayers!

When I write something, I write it out of honesty. Honesty can represent a multiple combination of things. Physical reality. Spiritual reality. Emotional reality. And a Mixture of all of these. In relationship to this post, I don't know my Physical or Spiritual realities. But I know what my Emotional reality is. That is why I titled it: "I don't feel close to God". Your free to pray about this anyway you wish. But I don't think I can change my title for this prayer request. And I don't know why it should bother anyone. It's just an honest prayer request. :) Besides that, all Christians go through Highs and Lows. Some of us go through more lows then highs and some of us go through more highs then lows. I think it all depends on what God is doing or allowing to happen to us, and it's for His reason to know.

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him.
