Water baptism is purely the desire of God for us to initially identify with the Death and resurrection of Christ.
We, who believe, do this as an act of obedience and faith in His word = Matthew 28:18-20
Water baptism cannot save anyone, is outward, is symbolic and is a 'one and done' outward act.

IMPORTANT: There is much more to CHRIST's example for us to follow then water baptism.

I (John the Baptist) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

The GREATER BLESSING, by FAR, is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit = Gospel of John and Acts
I (John the Baptist) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Aspects of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit are:
#1 Eternal from the Holy Spirit
#2 Inward-in our spirit
#3 Commanded by the Lord = Gospel of John & Acts
#4 Essential in knowing Truth = John 16:13
#5 Glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ = John 16:14
#6 Is an Essential Blessing for being a True Witness of God = Acts 1:4-8
#7 Is an Essential Blessing for our walk with God = Galatians 5:16-18
#8 Protects us from the danger in trusting religion by not seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit = Matthew 25:1-13
#9 Protects us from blaspheming the Holy Spirit which can lead to damnation = Luke 12:10
#10 Protects us and strengthens us when we face death for our Testimony in Christ = Acts ch6-ch7 and Revelation 12:11

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts. = Read Isaiah ch55

PEACE to all who call upon the Name above all Names = Jesus the Christ = Yashua HaMoshiach

Thank you, David. If you would, could you explain how #8 identifies with Matt 25:1-13? I'm assuming that oil represents the Holy Spirit?

to be more precise it represents the anointing of the holy spirit. to be honest I wonder if there is a difference between recieving the holy spirit and recieving an anointing of the holy spirit as not all recievers reciever him at the same level and do not function at the same depth

Yes in the old covenant oil was used to anoint usually kings or priests however in the new covenant the anointing happens by spirit yet even so there does seem to be a clear difference in the degree the anointing is given which makes me wonder if it is an anointing to begin with or simply to receive him.

Oil is often seen in scripture as being symbolic of the Holy Spirit both in the annointing of priests and for the lamps inside the Temple as they were to always be burning bright and never allowed to go out.

Then the Lord said to Moses, 23 “Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant calamus, 24 500 shekels of cassia—all according to the sanctuary shekel—and a hin of olive oil. 25 Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil. 26 Then use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law, 27 the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense, 28 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand. 29 You shall consecrate them so they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.

30 “Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may serve me as priests. 31 Say to the Israelites, ‘This is to be my sacred anointing oil for the generations to come. 32 Do not pour it on anyone else’s body and do not make any other oil using the same formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred.
33 Whoever makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off from their people.’”

Compare this to 1 John 2:20,27 & Revelation 1:6
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood, who has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and power forever and ever! Amen.

In John 20:22, Jesus of Nazareth gave the Holy Spirit to His remaining 11 disciples by breathing on them; this happened before Pentecost. If the 11 disciples had the Holy Spirit before the Holy Spirit rested on them like tongues of fire on Pentecost then the event in the upper room served a different function than receiving the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it was the baptism of the Holy Spirit to receive spiritual gifts by receiving the power of the Holy Spirit. In conclusion, it's possible to have the Holy Spirit, but not have the power of the Holy Spirit. This is just my understanding of the scriptures, not saying this is right or wrong, though my personal convictions is that what I am saying here is definitely correct compared to other explanations I've seen.

John 20:22 KJV
22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Acts 1:8 KJV
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:1-4 KJV
1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The LORD breathed on the disciples to confirm who HE is from Genesis = HE is Elohim

Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The Gospels show that the Disciples did not fully comprehend the scriptures and the full awareness of Christ's teachings until the Day of Pentecost when they were Baptised in the Holy Spirit.

The fact that the LORD said they could not go out and preach the Gospel nor be His witnesses until they received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is sufficient to end all speculation on the matter.
Add to that the Importance and Magnitude that the LORD placed on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in the Gospels and Acts and in the Letters of the Apostles when they referred to the Holy Spirit.

Please factor in this passage from Luke 24. Before the ascension of Jesus of Nazareth, He opened their understanding to understand the scriptures. This was definitely before Pentecost in no uncertain terms.

Luke 24:45-47 KJV
45Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Before Pentecost, the 11 disciples 100% understood the gospel of salvation, why Christ suffered, rose from the dead, and all about repentance and remission of sins.

This was a temporal/partial opening for them = the permanent One was/is poured out thru the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Always align your heart with what the LORD emphasizes on level of importance to HIM for us.
This discipline has always helped me whenever searching the Scriptures for answers to questions we need to ask and know.

Olive oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, which is positively identified in Zechariah 4:6:

Even so there does seem to be a key difference in having the holy spirit and actually walking in his spirit and power, do you remember when Jesus asked Peter who he thought he was and Peter replied you are the Christ and he said this has been revealed to you through the holy spirit?

Why did Jesus say that? what also about how some have the holy spirit and recievie understanding while others are infused with his spirit and walk in his spirit in the giftings? The gifts are the outwards proof of his spirit and power some walk imensely in them while others not yet they have the holy spirit so is there a different type of anointing or is perhaps some given more than others?

Agree
Which tells us that the LORD:
A.) knows each and every one of us
B.) has plans for us as individuals in Him
C.) has plans for us as corporately in Him
D.) no one has a copyright to the Holy Spirit
E.) no one has a copyright to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
F.) the Holy Spirit is a Person that makes decisions on our behalf = Acts 16:6

You said: "I wish that everyone knew about this Power and what it feels"

You just prayed what Moses prayed as well - Numbers 11:24-30

So Moses went out and told the people the words of the Lord, and he gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle. 25Then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again.

26But two men had remained in the camp: the name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle; yet they prophesied in the camp. 27And a young man ran and told Moses, and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”

28So Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, one of his choice men, answered and said, “Moses my lord, forbid them!”

Then Moses said to him, “Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”

Which brings us to JESUS the Mediator of a BETTER Covenant = the Gospel of John and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

I have only felt it once before when I was saved but it was like life surging through your body like power or electricity through your veins even with that description it doesn't do it justice. The thing is i haven't felt it sense i get a vague sense of it i can easily imagine what it feels like but haven't felt it sinse then.

I can pretty much describe things that i haven't felt in real life to like the healing touch of his hand for instance I can easily imagine the soothing feeling of my body being healed as if it actually was being healed like your tired body in a nice warm bath soothing relaxing serene gentle or putting nice cold water on your hot dry throat cooling soothing as if taking the roughness away the dryness the harshness.

It's strange really how vividly i can imagine things like that almost as if they are actually happening yet they never do
