As a Janitor who works a night job for a school. It is hard for me to maintain work relationships. I wish that my relationships with the teachers were a lot better then they currently are. Most of the time I can’t even tell if they like me or not. In fact one night when I was feeling down and couldn’t find one person to talk too. I walked around the place and saw everyone busy talking to each other. Too busy I guess… Shruggs... Keep in mind all the kids went home… It’s not their fault for having a lot of work. Nor is it my fault for having a lot of work. But what I have noticed is, they got time for each other. They even got time to exercise and play basketball together, but not a few minutes for me.

A little stupid poem came to me. It’s not a nice poem, but I’m sharing it with you because the last two lines totally reflects how I felt.

Teacher’s Paradise,
A place that isn’t nice.
Shut up you fool,
Your only supposed to be a tool.

My poem is saying. “We are too busy for you. "Leave us alone." "Remember we hired you to serve us." In other words, as a tool your feelings don’t matter. A tool is an object that has no feelings. It seems like some people seem to think that as long as they don't say "mean things" everything is cool. But body language, and other ways of conduct can send a message as well.

My friend, do not be discouraged, but be encouraged! You are a type of living description of our Powerful, Almighty Savior!

Isaiah 53:7 NLT - "He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth."

Jeremiah 11:19 NLT - "I was like a lamb being led to the slaughter. I had no idea that they were planning to kill me! "Let's destroy this man and all his words," they said. "Let's cut him down, so his name will be forgotten forever."

If we are living the "high" life, then we're probably not True followers of Christ. But if we are suffering, we are Loved by our Powerfl God. The Lord looks down upon the brokenhearted; the poor; the suffering. And so we are to follow the Holy footsteps of Christ:

1 Peter 2:21-23 NKJV - "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed [Himself] to Him who judges righteously . . ."

So when you go back to work to be everyone's servant, do so with Jesus in mind . . . and follow His Holy Footsteps. Be encouraged; count your position as a Blessing! For in your likeness to Christ, you will Eternally be rewarded.

And know this . . . If I were in that school, I would pick you out instantly. Why? Because I recognize the position that I have noted above.

Mark 10:31 NLT - "But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then."

I believe in you!
