Well... I've certainty caught more fish with patience than skill lol :)
I'm a seafood nut! I could probably eat my weight in prawns :p
You'd like it here then, my neighbour over the back fence owns a prawn trawler. I get on well with him and his missus and kids. I think he might have Scottish ancestry though, he won't give me any freebies, the peasant! ☹️😎

My wee boat. Paid $2400 aud for it, spent a few hundred more on it since. I can't get her up onto the plane unless I was going down a waterfall, so I either had to lose a heap of weight or sit further forward. Decided that sitting further forward is the easier option. I found an old mop handle with a flexible head so I've fixed it to the tiller handle for extra length that will help me get the centre of gravity happening better. I've replaced the zip ties with three stainless ubolts for strength. Looks a bit crass, but should help. 😎

Yes, I think politics is the same no matter where you tread in the wider west.
We stick with it though because it beats the alternatives. We know it beats the alternatives because we see the alternatives playing out in other countries.

What? Only beats the alternatives by a small margin? Well... Yeah, but better is still better, even if it's just slightly better.

Yep, boy it needs tweaking though. Adversarial partisan politics doesn't make for good governance IMO. A benevolent dictatorship run by Jesus is my preference 😁

I'm just an ordinary Christian, JAPOV, no one especial except that God chose to lead me to His Son 👏, and He didn't have to do that. I haven't belonged to a denomination since being converted in 1983, and have walked alone since. I have never liked being alone, but believe I am where Jesus wants me to be and that's a cost that I have had to pay. I don't treat any day more special than another, thinking that every day is special and I'm grateful for each one I have.

In my adult civilian life I had careers in Banking and in IT, and have done a variety of other things in retail and trades. I had a stint in the Australian Army and served in Vietnam.

I've been single since being separated from my ex wife in 1982. She divorced me in 1984 to marry a man she was having an affair with. She is no longer alive.

I'm retired now, and my fellowship is gleaned from groups such as CC. I prefer outdoor activities, but also like taking in museums and art galleries. I especially enjoy motorcycle riding. I'm a terrible gardener, all my plants and veggies hate me. I love animals, and have usually had dogs. During a bout of insanity I decided to get a cat, and my visits to psychologists have dramatically increased ever since.

My neighbours know I am a Christian, so I try and walk morally uprightly at all times, especially around them, less I bring ill repute upon the name of the Lord.

Australia is almost as big as the US, but only has a population of approximately 25mil. We have similar terrain as the US, except we have more desert regions and not as high and less mountain ranges than found in the US. We have right wing extremists like all nations have, but we are a multicultural/cosmopolitan society. Our political system is 3 tiered and matches more of the UK's system than the US. Respect for the law and authority is getting less and less, and the moral decline here is similar to that happening in other parts of the world.

Nonetheless I try to be positive in my approach to everything, and try to be satisfied in my abundance or lack.

How about you 🙂

My day is consisting of slowly packing up all my gear and moving. I have run out of boxes though so I will be on the hunt for more tomorrow if anything is open.

I'll send some over if you like, I've got stacks.

Moving is the pits IMO, I hope yours goes well for you. 👍 Are you staying in the West?

Just checked Bunnings, and except for Esperance all their stores in WA are open tomorrow and Monday. They sell a broad range of packing boxes! 🙂

Yes I am staying in the west unless God otherwise says so.
This move was expected and unexpected at the same time.

About six or so years ago I was living in the country and when I was driving home from work one day I heard the words "get ready, get ready" and it wouldn't stop. I didn't know what it meant. Well about two or so weeks later, unexpected family situation happened and I moved from the country to the city. Totally unplanned and unexpected.

I was renting and enjoyed the place I was in for about just over two years, then one day I heard "get ready, get ready" over and over. I thought I wonder what it means this time. Well a couple of weeks later the landlord out of the blue said they were selling so I had to find another place.

So I found the place I am living in presently and I have been here just over two years now. A few weeks ago I heard "get ready, get ready" I thought oh no, not again. Well out of the blue my landlord said they are selling. They are actually separating and going their own ways. God has warned me three times now when I am about to move. He knows I also find it stressful and is kind and loving enough to prepare me for it.

I have now found a temp place for three months as the place I am in is under offer. They have a buyer. I dont know about this new place, I am not that keen but it seems to be the door that opened so I am trusting God. The funny thing is I have not moved yet, I still have a couple of weeks to go until I do and just last week I heard the words again "get ready, get ready" so I am wondering what may happen this time?? Will I not go to the place I think I am going to but a different one. Time will tell.

How's my day been? I just made 200 quarter pounders for a major call-in order. And my shift isn't even a third over yet. That's how my day's been.

I had to step inside the walk-in freezer to ventilate. I shed heat so fast that when I came out my glasses didn't even fog up.

You "Ozies" always have a well grounded, optimistic character lol. At least that has been my experience, I've know a couple here in the states :)

I'm just a retired carpenter/contractor/soldier with bad ankles and a busted hip, but I still get around OK in the warm weather. Both my parents are Christian and musically inclined so, I was just raised that way :)

Politically speaking, I honesty believe the globalists have already won. They simply created the mess we're all in so they can take credit for solving it. Here we go NWO...

Praise God, He always keeps His Word

Exciting, hey 😃, and somewhat daunting, too 🤔
A brilliant scripture I'm often drawn to that helps me in times of wonderment or even doubt, is "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose".
It seems you are at peace with the situation, which is a reflection of the depth of your faith and trust 👍🙂

Ruby, I love how the Lord has a way of giving a warning. He knows you best. I pray that whatever is coming will be a blessing. :)

Wow, you must have some awfully big families over there 😳 I'll see if I've got a spare oxygen bottle and ship it over!
I can see all the cows doing a hasty retreat from your area 😬
Do you get many requests for orders of that size?

Is that at Maccas or a different chain?
