Forums: How Are People Supposed To Help Me?

Honestly when I write things. In a way, I'm not looking for help. You see I already know how complicated things are. They are often so complicated that I can't write it all down. So people think they got all the information, and they don't. But when I write up a prayer request. I'm asking for people to help me ask God to help me solve these problems. But there are a lot of people who still want to give their opinions, and sometimes people get offended when I don't seem to be taking their advice. That always makes me scratch my head a little.

My friend, God will help you whether or not people pray on your behalf. Your relationship with God does not depend upon anyone other than you and Him.

John 15:16 NKJV - 16 "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."

I had someone get upset with me, because He doesn't feel like I'm taking his encouragement. I get confused by people here, sometimes. Maybe I don't know "encouragement" when I read it. But the thing is, It seems like people just give their opinions, and somehow those opinions are the facts I need to hear, or something... I don't know. The way I see it is, people can say what they want, but I don't haft to do anything with it, if I don't want too.

The longer you are here, the more you will realize the truth of an old saying, which is "There are too many Chiefs but not enough Indians."

Most people are here to teach, guide, lead, and share what they know. Few, here, are actually willing to be submissive in their understandings and be willing to listen, learn, and change. And if this is true, then I wouldn't concern yourself with many of the ideas and opinions of others. The things that you have said suggest to me that you're on the Right track.

Be confident. Get your advice from the Word. God will speak to you as He sees fit . . . be assured of this.
