A bunch of eggs are harvested from women (induced by injections) and then fertilized by sperm from men (usually the husband but not always)

These fertilized eggs are allowed to begin growing to a certain point. Then they are now embryos. And because of genetic testing they can determine all they need to know about what that embryo is going to become. Boy or girl...whatever.

Now mom usually only wants to have one baby at a time...so one is chosen (according to the choices mom makes) and the rest are frozen but still viable for implantation.

We are talking about up to a dozen or more eggs at a time are fertilized.

So...the embryos are kept frozen until they are destroyed or allowed to be bought/adopted by a couple who can't/wont have children due to genetic diseases. Here's an article with more information....but trust me when I say that they can screen for anything and everything.

if her two children are boys then it cant be she dislikes males that much but a lot of men just dont know how to be dads so some women may think they are actually doing them a favour by not involving them at all
Both are girls.

True, many of we older generation of fathers haven't necessarily been good examples to our sons on how to be godly husbands and fathers. But I've seen a lot of that too, in mother daughter relationships... in fact I lived through that hell with my ex and her mother. Both had poor morals that were outed over time.

I've sometimes wonder if my subsequent distrust of women trips me into a mysogenistic mindset, but I don't think so. Certainly the painful experiences of the past do try to influence my thinking, and I sometimes have to fight against myself to get my thinking rightfully balanced.

That's difficult. It's hard to overcome the scars of the past.

Yes.

But the answer to not repeating past mistakes is to do a thorough appraisal of who did what when, that was causal to the mistakes happening, and learn from that.

I realised it was important that I be honest with myself about my own shortcomings and traits, and how they can cause problems in relationships, and be cautious but never prejudiced in dealing with members of the opposite gender.

There is no justification for misogyny or misandry in my opinion.

whats the thing people thought crossing a lemon and an orange would. be great but all they got was a grapefruit
I've found these edible after I throw a bucket of sugar over them. I can't figure how people can eat these raw. Maybe I'm just a wuss.

I kinda count them in the same category of chickpeas. Why would anyone want to chew on road base has got me beat! 😬

Hummus can be quite tasty. Use them as a dip for chips or a spread like mayo or avocado. I thought them uninteresting until I tried them that way. Then they got interesting.

Grapefruit? Not exactly my idea of a good time either. But then I'm not as sensitive to sugar so I like orange juice.

Some people get really sensitive to the sugar in oranges....gets to be like drinking syrup for them. So that's why they actually enjoy grapefruit.

Otherwise I'm just a splash of grapefruit juice in a sweet drink is more than enough for me. Or maybe the syrup of grapefruit juice in a vinaigrette for a salad.

There's a use for everything out there....to make it enjoyable even though you don't like it.

It's one of those things that I enjoy trying to do with food as a recovering chef. I've turned my wife's world upside down by getting her to relish all the foods that she never liked before to the point that they now are her favorite foods. (And made her wrinkle her nose at former favorites)

I can't get her to do spicy food. But then neither can I....but that sort of thing desensitizes your ability to taste and smell. And I need my sense of taste for the subtle blends.

So certain things are out.
And I still am not a fan of Cajun food or Indian cuisine. Too complicated and overly spiced for my taste.
