Two Weeks In, the Webb Space Telescope Is Reshaping Astronomy
By Jonathan O'Callaghan
July 25, 2022

In the days after the mega-telescope started delivering data, astronomers reported exciting new discoveries about galaxies, stars, exoplanets and even Jupiter.

God's glorious artistry waiting to dazzle our eyes with each new discovery. 😍

Maybe you know the answer. I saw the vivid NASA photos of the solar system over the years. Then people told me they were photoshopped. I personally don't know how to tell the difference except when it's obvious. I like all of those pictures, but do you know if there's a way to tell the difference,?

No. Unless it would be obvious, as you said, I'd not know how to tell the difference between raw footage and Photoshop.

I've met FE Christians who insist the Hubble deep space telescope footage is all Photoshop and CGI.
And when asked how that would be true given our evolution in aerospace technology and the like?

It's a conspiracy! NASA is in on it, everyone connected with space science are co-conspirators.

What about Hubble Deep Field Telescope?

It's fake! So are the so called images it transmits back to [flat] Earth.

They're actually serious too.😳

They claim this is all true because you can't believe the Hubble Deep Field Telescope could travel in space for years on battery power alone. Much less be able to transmit data from such a distance back to [flat] Earth.

Good point. I meant CGI, not Photoshop like you said. I love the photography.
I know what you mean. There are some who think that everything is false.
Have you ever heard of the Mandela Effect?
I've heard folks say that there are multiuniverses and that the Bible, which they never even read, changed all over the world by some ominous power. Every Bible change mystically because they remember a different paraphrase quoted from their youth in Sunday school. They believe their memories are the source and standard of truth.

I've not heard of that before now. So being me I had to look it up to learn more.

For others too:

Could that help explain why there are different accounts of some of the same events being reported in the Gospels? All the disciples were there and yet there are different accounts in some cases by different disciples.

Actually, the Mandela effect is a theory that says, some people remembered that Nelson Mandela was reported dead in the news. When he was released from prison, they believe there was a change in reality that they give credit to some mystical new age phenomenon. They did this with many things and blamed their faulty memories on the "Mandela effect." Don't waste time looking it up. I only pointed it out because it was an example of what you said about some who think

"It's a conspiracy! NASA is in on it, everyone connected with space science are co-conspirators.

. I'm with you on that. I'm not a flat earther either.

I haven't had time to listen to all of it yet, but here's what seems so far like a good description of that new telescope.

The people I've known who believe and teach the Mandela effect also do that with flat earth for some reason. Just the ones that I am familiar with in Wva.
They also teach that Jesus' name is false and we have to go back to the Hebrew to get "his reeeal name.'

Here's the proper response.

Great video.
The skeptics I mentioned earlier would have a caniption over that data. 😆

Their other issue is, why aren't there any images or video of earth taken at a distance to prove its a globe?

The other point skeptics I've encountered make is, all those 'fake' images of so called planets in our solar system are obviously fake. Because if there are really stars near them why do the pictures of those planetary bodies show black backgrounds? No stars even visible from the lunar surface.

They also don't think we really traveled there either. The famous Earth Rise image they say is a fake too.

BP,

That first video was amazing.
The second one answered the questions about color. Apparently they colorize the spectrum that is invisible to the naked eye. So these are apparently true images, but they have been adapted by computer enhanced programs that make the invisible wavelengths appear as colors. Am I understanding this video correctly?

Sounds good to me. 😉

I love deep field telescope images.

The images being sent back by this vehicle are amazing. I have enjoyed viewing them. They truly reveal just how great God is.
