I try to get plenty of sleep, and I'm not over weight, yet I'm someone that feels drowsy a lot. Is there anything natural a person can take for this?
Also I take a high blood pressure medication. I'm not looking for something natural for that. The high blood pressure thing is a complicated.

Vitamin B12 can really help, and just stuff you already know. Whole foods, filled with antioxidants, and omegas. Stuff like avocados, quinoa, low sodium beens, veggies, some fruit, oh and probiotics, like greek yogurt. Seeds and nuts..avoid processed but a little splurging is ok, now and again. Drink lots water, maybe add green tea to your coffee, if you drink it. Try to take time to exercise, even just 10-30 min 3-5 xs a week can make a huge diff. Rest is key, but you said, you do well in this arena. I think baby steps are the key to maintaining balance, for me anyway.. Just remember practice need not make perfection but instead habit. Be patient with yourself as you do your best. I will be adding this and you to my prayers. Love to know if you find something that works for you. We can always learn and I welcome learning from you.

Exercise isn't something I can do. The reason is, I get too much movement at work. I think it would be good to get my heart rate up. But I don't know how to do that without more movement. I put over 10,000 steps on my feet. My poor feet has been wearing out. They have arthritis in them.

Currently I do take fish oil, and a multi vitamin. When it comes to eating, I have fruit and vegetables as part of my diet. During the summer we eat out of the garden: Tomatoes and Corn, and a few other things we grow.

I've also been eating grapes. I also eat apples and bananas. But those come from the supermarket.

Oh and I just read this somewhere abd it has helped me...trying walking or even sit in the sun in the early day for even only 5 min, a little more is better, that can set your rhythms internally.

whoa, 10,000 steps!!! Well that is awesome! I need to step it up, you don't, that is for sure. Maybe you are drowsy, simply because you work very hard. It is commendable.

For just 2 months I get down time. Since I work for a School as a second shift custodian, I get June and July off of work. That should be enough for my body to bounce back for the next year. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to be. I have tried to talk to my doctor about this. His only theory is the blood pressure medication is causing fatigue. But I haven't always been this bad.

I might PM you soon, and give you show you some pictures of what I haft to do at the school. Then what I describe might make more sense.

Maybe you have chronic fatigue syndrome. That's what I have. Spoke to a doctor once about this. He said there really isn't a cure or a remedy. I have learned to live with it.

I'd be cool with that. I bet it is a lot.

I'm no biochemistry rocket surgeon pharmacologist, but some naturalpathic physicians I've followed for years of health training say that BP drugs can cause drowsiness. It might even be listed as a side effect if you read the unabridged list.

Today at church my friend told me his mom is going down hill very fast. Guess what? It doesn't sound like the tumor. I recently saw her and she was eating well, alert and talkative, looking heathy. What happened?
Pharmaceuticals is my educated guess. "Polypharma" is a term they use to describe a person who is over medicated. It's easy to die from Tylenol, and over half a dozen meds that will shut down the kidneys and liver tomorrow. I'm not saying this as a recommendation for you. I didn't put you on anything and can't take you off . What she needs is likely to be cleansed of the toxic burden that is killing her faster than a tumor.
Purified water, movement, milk thistle, prune smoothies, or Vitality Capsules until 3 BPs:day. She's zoned out in bed 24/7 now.
Guess what? BP medication.
I just happened to share the point about that med earlier. The rest of the info is to keep under your hat in case you ever have a family member whose doctor asks,. " Have you ever considered hospice?"

Again, I'm not recommending you stop your meds.
Look into the specific med and you might want to talk a quality health care pro about a safe option to reach your health goals.

A LOT of things can cause drowsiness.
What is most common in a given "condition" is usually what they look at first. Then there are those who have good medical insurance that get the $10,000 tests. It doesn't mean that they figure out the answer sooner though.
A common suspect is a med or group of meds.

Sorry to ramble on about my friend's Mom.
It was on my mind and I'm upset because she probably won't make it on all the toxic burden her body is under with all the Rx drugs.

I hope you can resolve this soon. I know what that's like .

Your cardiologist should have told you a side effect of your high BP medicine is drowsiness.

Have you asked your Doctor if your complicated condition would permit a prescription change to one that lessens fatigue?

You would have to figure out what is causing the drowsiness.

Your iron might be low or Magnesium. Dehydration. Lack of exercise. Junk food. So many things can cause it.

Those are the ones I notice on myself.
